Turns out Mojang pretty much removed anything I could use to make the player walk at a normal speed while using an item, meaning you won't be able to walk faster while using a composite bow than other bows, unless I find another way. Is that something you guys care about, or should I just move on to other things that need fixing and then try to release it soon?
I know about the new attributes stuff, but I believe the attributes are changed server-side, so that wouldn't work well for something that changes client-side (in this case, whether the player is eating).
nice mod, very clean and fits with the vanilla game. But why would someone want to make a bundled ender arrow? that seems a bit odd.
So you can teleport at one place, shoot a flaming arrow and get lost fast.

It's your choice whether you make an ender arrow, there's very little reason for me to disable it. (It wasn't any extra work making them split, anyway.) It'll just teleport you to every position an arrow lands, as soon as it hits. If two arrows land at the same time, it just depends on the order they're ticked.
Teleporting shouldn't cause much lag unless you're teleporting in range of unloaded chunks, therefore no lag should be added by teleporting to a very close position to the first landing position.
The only lag caused by multiple ender arrows would be because of ender arrow chunk loading, which can be disabled. With the chunk loading enabled, you really shouldn't be firing off multiple ender arrows into unloaded chunks unless you have a good server (I expect). Arrows flying into unloaded chunks means the server will have to load and then unload chunks around the arrow (I don't recall the actual number it can have loaded at once) very quickly.
Really great mod
I'd love to find a server with this mod
I have a few ideas that i think will be a good additon
1tracer/heat seeking arrow
I think it will be a good addition since it will make long range shooting and pvp shooting easier, and
help people who don't have good aim.
I'm thinking something like you charge the bow to full and point the crosshair on the mob you want to hit,
and when the arrow achieves a "lock on" on the target, you'll know by
1:texture change(enchanted glow, flash etc)
2:text such as targeting creeper
3:arrow launches atomaticly
and when you fire, the arrow will follow the mob till it hits it/hits a wall/runs out of time etc
if you didn't get a "lock on" just acts like a normal arrow
or just an arrow that chases the nearest mob
it could be crafted with an eye of ender
2 stealth arrow
this arrow could be crafted with mabey glass and mobs hit with it wouldn't get angry at you.
I think this will be useful since within a certain distance, mobs can't detect you, but will detect you when you shoot them
you can use this arrow to kill them without being detected. also it will prevent it from bringing more zombies to your area, and enable you to hurt pigmen without angering them, or kill villagers without making iron golems angry at you
3 waterbomb arrows
this arrow could be crafted with water buckets and gunpowder and when hit will make an explosion that does no damage but puts out fires, turns lava into obsidian, hydrates farmland, and pushes mobs back, but doesn't anger them
would be useful in the nether and for pushing pigmen away
4 enderbane arrows
no idea how they could be crafted just like a normal arrow, except endermen don't teleport away from it
PS drill arrows only dig through 3 dirt blocks is this intended?

ok that explains alot I was more worried about griefers trying to crash the server rather then the average user, but it seems like it shouldnt be as big of a problem as i thought
I think a nice convenient feature would be arrows automatically being put into a quiver when picked up. Also while you can turn off skeletons spawning with fire arrows with the allowmobgreifing config option they can still spawn with flame bows and burn everything in sight...

arrows from flame bows don't set fire to blocks...

They do to wood blocks or anything flammable. Nearly burnt down a witch hut trying to kill the witch inside with a flame bow with normal arrows. Luckily I killed the witch in time so I could put the fire out since we needed it as there VERY rare with ExtraBiomesXL for our witch farm.

Yeah same here till I added a flame enchantment cause I thought it would be nice for extra damage but, then shoot things for the heck of it and yeah I was surprised.

The homing arrow is something I've seen in other mods, but I didn't ever think of anything that might justify that existing in the Minecraft world. Using an eye of ender for it is a good idea, I'll add that to my list.
Stealth arrows would need something better than just glass to justify not angering any mobs. Perhaps something that confuses or distracts them, rather than just letting people figure out how it works themselves.
Waterbomb arrows sound interesting, it sounds quite unique, non-overpowered, and it could be quite useful. Only thing I would change is whether it angers them. I suppose that if it doesn't do any damage it would be fine if it didn't anger them, but I guess it would just depend on how exactly I make them work. I'll definitely have to make it so that not all the arrows have a sharp arrowhead, so that that would be able to do no damage.
I'm not sure about enderbane arrows, I think that if I did something like that, it would be more of a tier thing, maybe diamond arrows will be able to damage them, but no others would.
Drill arrows, as it says in the OP, dig blocks according to their strength against a pickaxe. Something like dirt that's easy to break but isn't meant to be broken by a pickaxe will be hard to go through, but it'll work better than something stronger like wood (which drill arrows are completely stopped by).
I need more information. Can you post the full report? That doesn't include the exception that occurred.
Also, what were you doing when it crashed? Is there anything you were doing that you think might've crashed it? That error looks pretty unrelated to my mod, after all...
Can u change the bow ID beacuse its not in the config?
It is in the config. You are looking at the .cfg file and not the in-game options, right? Even if you could change item IDs in-game, you'd have to restart for it to take effect.

Yeah, I thought about making them automatically be put in, but I thought that might be a problem for people that want to keep specific types of arrows in specific quivers. I suppose it could be an option. It should probably be a server-side option, because otherwise it might give players an unfair advantage in a fight (especially if a server is specifically made for PVP).

Yeah, any arrow that is on fire will light the block it lands in on fire, then burn up after a bit.
What about all the other diamond stuff in minecraft, those are also impossible. Even making a block of diamond would be almost impossible to do.
It's not nearly as preposterous for Steve to make a sword out of diamond as it is for him to pull back a bow made out of diamond, no matter how thick it is. If it was thin, it would snap. If it was thick, it would take an enormous amount of energy to pull it back, and it wouldn't throw the arrow very far because you wouldn't be pulling it back as far. It needs plenty of room to move the arrow forward.
Can you add redstone arrow? So, when it hits a block, that block becomes powered by a tick or a second(depends from the crafting, it's a two tiered arrow). Crafting is an arrow and a redstone or a redstone block and makes 9 each(the cost).

Just got done with a physical theater intensive that took up practically my whole week.

Doesn't NBT tags allow you to do that. I think you should take a look at this. Maybe he can help. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1558668-162forgesspsmp-in-game-nbtedit-edit-mob-spawners-attributes-in-game/

Simple thing to do it test it in creative mode. I think when I tried it, it sent me to most of them depending on when they landed.
