And leave instructions for 1.5.1 because I'm in 1.5.1
All you need to do is download Forge for 1.5.1 then, you go into you're .minecraft>bin>minecraft.jar
Open minecraft.jar with 7-zip or winrar.
Unzip/extract forge into another folder and then drag all the contents into your minecraft.jar

I know to download mods but this one always crashes when I shoot the arrow
I absolutely love what you did with this mod. I made a mod spotlight for it and would appreciate if you could feature it on the forum page. Aswell if there is any annotations you want on my video please tell me
Yeah, for sure! For annotations, I would correct the crafting recipe for the ender arrow, which only uses one arrow (only potion arrows and fire arrows with blaze powder use two), and that the splitting arrows can only be *crafted* into 6-splitting arrows, but you can use the command I added to make them split into up to 15.
I don't know what to so after I download forge " recommended " what I do after? And For the Yumi it might be cool if you change colors and craft out bambo ( cane, like the real Yumi )
The recommended Forge version will be for the latest version of Minecraft. If you're running Minecraft 1.5.1, install the version of Forge for that Minecraft version. Here: minecraftforge-universal-1.5.1-7.7.2.682.zip
Making it out of cane sounds really unique, I think I'll do that.
Fixes a duplication bug when picking splitting arrows.
Bugs fixed:
Arrows picked up when a splitting arrow is an arrow of the same item ID with damage of 0. (Now they are the same arrow type with a damage value corresponding to an arrow number of 0, which means it's non-splitting)
Arrows with a damage value corresponding to an arrow count of 1 show up with the splitting arrow icon but no display name information.
hey zaggy thank you for making finally a bow mod which makes sense.but i suggest a typ of arrow with a diamond head and when you hit a creeper with it he'll drop a plate .maybe with 75 % chance or something else.i don't know if its heavy to code but i'd like to see it in the mod.
A plate as in a plate plate? The kind of thing you eat off? What would it do?
I tried searching through the list of mods in there for one that modifies EntityArrow.java, but I couldn't find any. Could you try installing my mod after all the rest to see if that works? (and if it does, try any items that use arrows in your game and see if they crash, and tell me which) Also, do you know of any that modify the vanilla arrows?
I'm giving it a shot now, I'll just keep removing mods until it works xD

D: I removed every single one of my mods and it still won't work, that means that it might be an incompatibility with player api or my forge version. That sucks. Could you disable the model for the arrow for 1.5.1, and make a seporate link or something? Or even make a config that lets you turn it on and off? Understood if it's too much effort xD

Traditionally, recurve bows are around 10x easier to draw than longbows, but they are weaker and don't shoot as far. You have the draw speed switched.Ah, also, the timed explosion arrows have a bigger explosion than the explosive arrows and are less expensive to create. Way less.
Using this on a server is so buggy.
When a player pulls back any arrow, if water or mobs or players are behind them, they go upside down and move around, it's so odd.
Everything else works though.
Edit: I went into 3rd person while using the bow, and then i crashed. Now, whenever i pull back the bow, i crash. The same way when i installed it into the mods folder.

The recurve bows are easier to pull back, and they do shoot less far than the longbow. I have no idea what you're talking about.
The timed explosion arrows' downside is that they don't detonate on impact and they don't stick in entities, making them harder to attack with unless there's a large group of enemies. However, I guess making it a bit more expensive is a good idea.

Wow. I knew about the first bug (I've already fixed the moving around stuff, just have to fix the problem that actually caused it so I can release it), but I didn't see the one with third-person. Lemme try that... You're still on 1.5.1, right?
You have it on a server, though? What server is it?
Edit: Or are you just playing it with a friend?
Edit: Can you post the crash message, too?
uhhh... this might just be me, but the download link isn't working i can get to the adfly, but as when as i press skip now it says "Google Chrome could not load the webpage because accounts.google.com took too long to respond." got any idea why?
edit: nevermind, it works now. must have been a network overload or something... my computer is weird like that...

Don't install it like a normal Modloader mod, put the contents of the mod zip into minecraft.jar *after* installing Forge.
@Mr_boness: Now that I look back, it looks like you did the same thing.

Update your Forge installation, and make sure to reinstall my mod in minecraft.jar afterward.
You definitely shouldn't.

No, you don't need to, see post #93, after the second quote. (Basically, you installed it wrong, it's not an incompatibility issue)

Did you read my post above and reinstall it yet?
OH crap, didn't see that.
Trying it now.
