What version are you using, and/or what modpack are you using? Because some older versions have this "unimplemented feature (programming joke)" and does not place the block in the carpenter block. If it is not the most recent version, I would recommend updating to the most recent 1.7.10 version for all the mods. I haven't heard of this bug in months, interesting that it is reappearing.
Now I use mods:
Carpenter's Blocks v3.3.7
appliedenergistics2-rv3-beta-6
industrialcraft-2-2.2.821-experimental
I tried to update the Carpenter's Blocks to v3.3.8.1, tried to remove modpack, this does not solve the problem.

I am BEYOND hyped to hear this is being updated! I honestly stopped playing MC for a while because after discovering this awesome mod in an FTB modpack, I didn't want to play without it! Thank you so much for continuing support on it! I look forward to it greatly.
Appreciate the supports peoples. I'm trying to work on a proper rotation system for rendering that I always wanted to have in place for 1.7.10. I'm currently trying to generate side covers on-the-fly and it's working 95%. Until I can get that last 5% working progress is snail paced. Plus I'm taking a short 1-week vacation coming up in a few days.
As always, whenever I make a major breakthrough I will update this thread.
I just wanted to say thanks for working on a 1.10 port. This my #1 favorite Minecraft mod, and I'll be glad to finally be able to use it again. Keep up the good work!
Carpenter's Blocks together with Chisel is THE ABSOLUTE BEST that happened to modded Minecraft in the building area. I just wanted to leave my praise and thank you for still be working on this! I can't wait for 1.10.2, I think I'm stopping all my future stream projects until you come up with a Beta of it
I changed the structure a bit more, but I can add code to covert it over safely. This is assuming Forge didn't undergo any major changes that affect it.
I hope that it will be possible to update a world from 1.7.10 to 1.10. As you might remember me, I am updating my world from 1.6.4 to 1.7.10 for one year now.. Your mod was in the minority, that introduced possibilities to update an existing world.. I changed many ID's by hand, ironed out many ID issues that came with earlier versions and I changed a lot of block-ID's, but without loosing their tags.. This was really time consuming and tricky..
really? I wish I could just make myself a copy of this mod and port it myself to 1.8
This is the only solution (or the Developer port this for have for free time, which I find difficult for the reason I said in the previous post) if you have knowledge and carry forward, we would be happy if you share with the community

Good work Mineshopper
Looking forward to the next release.
Good job, I hope it doesn't take too long for the mod be released, definitely one of the best mods.
"But how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward." BALBOA, Rocky.
is it going to be in 1.10.2
Try adding it to cover exception list in config file using the block display name.
As for progress on 1.10.2: still stuck rendering side covers, but I'm slowly tackling the issues.
Yes, it helped! Thank you so much!

Here's some debugging in action:

When will this be for 1.8.?
Never.
1.8X was skipped by several Modders, now the focus is 1.10.X. Sorry to inform you of this sad reality!
i died alittle (alot) inside when i saw this is still not ported to 1.10 yet
And I die a lot when people complain about updates and don't realize just how difficult it is to make such updates occur.
