Hello Mineshopper. I'm SenseiKiwi, one of the developers for Dimensional Doors. DD allows you to connect different locations by using doors with portals in them. Normally, we use wooden and iron doors from regular Minecraft, but several people have asked me if we could support using Carpenter's Doors so that they could decorate their portals. I want to implement this, though I'm not sure of what would be the best way. Would there be any way to contact you to discuss this?
Contact me any way you want, but the new forums only notify me if I visit the webpage. You can always open up a new issue on github if you'd like - the link is available at the bottom of the op.
As for adding support, I would suggest checking block.getUnlocalizedName() against "tile.blockCarpentersDoor"
Like I said, just open up a new issue on github if you'd like to approach this a different way.
EDIT: If you meant actually making the CB door a portal, yeah that might require another approach.
Is it possible to place two blocks inside 1 blocks space?
A good example would be ForgeMicroblocks, what I'm asking is, is it possible to place two slopes inside one blocks so the block can have two textures an angles. The attached image highlights a particular block. For example I want to make the top of that block a seamless with the black basalt on an angle.
If this functionality isn't possible I would like to make a request for its implementation.
Since you know how to manipulate blocks and create slopes, etc. In addition to possessing the ability to create facades on blocks, shouldn't it be possible to do that in the case of a block that can accept two different textures. For example you make a block called the 'double-block'. Its components are two slabs or two slopes, or by placing two slopes/slabs adjacently this new block is created. the player then would be able to rotate the block and place a total of two facades on each of the sides.
For visualization, place two different types of slabs together. But in this case, this can be done with different sub-blocks to create full ones, e.g. two slopes, 1 oblique interior + oblique exterior, etc.
Hi. My daughter has been trying to make a door that looks like log bark and she cant get it to work right. The bottom half of the door looks like the bark, but the top half looks like the cross section of the top of the log. Anyone know a way around this? Id really appreciate it. Thanks
Aim more up or down so the pitch is greater than 45 degrees or less than.. umm... -45 degrees. I should probably put that into the tutorial.
I won't get around to changing the original post for any reason until they fix the editor bugs. It's not currently possible to change even the simplest thing without undoing most of the formatting.

Ok, I will try that. Thanks
LOVE this mod, by the way. Its so nice to have all these options!
Just for fun I'm backporting v3.2.5 to MC 1.6.4. Took a few hours to fix compile errors, now I need to weed out ALL block declarations, because pre-1.7 there's no such thing as Block.air, only NULL!

Help! I'm using Carpenter's Blocks and when I try to modify how blocks look using the Chisel, I get these black and white colors. Are there any fixes for this?
P.S.: I used Skydaz to install this mod, could that be the source of the problem? And it's Minecraft Version: 1.7.2.
My attempts to put grass overlays on the carpenter's stairs seem to be failing. The right click occurs, but the seeds remain unused and the stairs don't wind up with grass. Latest version, 1.7.2
Does this work with mods? Like mod blocks? It should, you could have a config file that takes block IDs and texture paths to force support for mod blocks.
Is it safe to use with 1.7.10 or should I downgrade to 1.7.2?
Even if it loads, it will eventually crash as some code changed that doesn't exist in 1.7.2. I have a dev version posted for 1.7.10, but I'm getting ready for release of the next update anyways.

Only since the beginning. If for some unforeseen reason a block does not work, just type the display name of the block into the config file and it will.

Sorry, I posted before I knew for sure. Bets mod ever... XD

All aside, this is a AWESOME mod!! Thanks for all the hard work!

Just for fun, give the new dev version a shot, v2.1.3. And of course run at least Forge build 964, or 965. I test with 965.
EDIT: Why let me reply to buried post without saying who I'm replying to? Sigh.
Ok, I will try that. Thanks
