Would you be able to modify your fences to treat solid blocks above them like more fences? So that for example, the top of these fences would be flush with the roof. Thanks, and this mod is a amazing :-)

I'll add it to my list. It has about 8 tasks on it, ranging in difficulty from easy to time-consuming.
Speaking of which, here's a shot of my progress today:
Stair code completely rewritten, and two vanilla bugs (yes, not my bugs) fixed that affected smooth lighting and texture alignment.
I forgot to mention.... I cannot remove any covers with the hammer/shift click. It only ends up repositioning the block. I shift/ left click, right click, any kind a click doesn't seem to remove anything, only changes position. I have to actually destroy the block if I what to change the cover. Which can be kind of painful, but I have learned to test a look before completeing. It would be nice to shift/place with another block to change the cover more easily. I use chisel mod that adds 40-50 blocks by itself and my other 59 mods to boot. So I have alot of blocks to look at and see if I like. And If I can just shift/click with another block to change it faster, than destroying and replacing would be great.( I wouldn't care if I lost the block/cover).
You all shall keep guessing on the super secret feature.
painter - It's working on my current dev build, but I may have changed something to fix the problem you're having post-update. I don't remember having issues removing covers during testing though. i get error with fence gate, when i place fence gate on ground, then remove and place again on same spot minecraft crashes... or it happents when i right-click on gate.
So guessing from the screens, since there's no snow stone yet....
are you able to put the snow on the top and the stone on the side???
which then renders snow on the side as an overlay??? ó_Ò
I know I'm sucking balls with this slab-questions xD but it's so important to me :/
It would save me so many ID's and coding in CS2 when I could implement simply "Blocks" and not more, to gain slabs, stairs etc. from yours...
Maybe a small update only adding the slabs lol
btw: the 64x Resolution Texture is nearly finished, probably finishing it today, will link the sphax-thread here
I'd prefer not to rush out any updates just to get slabs out - for now just keep doing what you're used to. My list isn't that grueling, but I will be gone this weekend and I have two days of finals + work this week to tackle. So ETA: maybe next week? Unless I get the stuff fixed really fast. I have a placeholder for slabs but no actual code yet.

Found and fixed, thanks for reporting it.
Right-clicking on the fence with nothing in your hand will cause this (though for some reason I haven't noticed it - weird).
EDIT: Ah, it's actually already fixed in the current dev code.
BTW in the next update the states for stairs have changed. It used to use about 16 states with pseudo-corners, but now uses 24 states with permanent corners. So, your existing stairs will likely face random directions upon updating. All it will take is a few whacks with the hammer to fix it though.

Sorry I'm not sure what you're saying. Should I redownload the latest and try (because it was fixed post-release) or wait for next update.
EDIT: I did try and redownload the mod and installed it to no avail. Shift/left click with hammer in hand does nothing to remove covers. Just repositions the block.
I was worried that your list of stuff to do might be shrinking, so here is another request :-)
Would you be able to make a new variation of the carpenter's barrier, that is similar to the current picket fence, but instead with the double beam being at the top/bottom, and only single beams in the middle? More like a real fence, also less annoying to look through on an angle.
Fantastic mod! Absolutely love the additions to the 1.3 update.
Can you make it so players can use transparent textures with the carpenters blocks? Ice works fine, but glass and mod added variants don't.
Also, would there be any way for the blocks to also take the color of the texture used on it for minimaps? It's not a major concern, it just throws me off sometimes when I look at the minimap and see oak-colored blocks instead of whatever I was expecting.

I had planned a fence like that, but I ran into some minor complications in connecting pieces. I will consider taking a second look at it.

Glass just looks plain ugly on most of these blocks except for Slopes. Plus, from what I've seen most texturepacks just make glass totally invisible (which I hate). You should be able to use glass as it is, but it's just not pretty. Unfortunately, I can't do anything about textures that aren't pretty. If you're trying to use a block that won't work as a cover, it is because it's being filtered out for a reason.
Regarding minimaps: nothing I can do, sadly. If the mods pull textures directly from the blockIcon field or similar, they will completely bypass my methods that return the cover texture.

The Minecraft glass doesn't work with it, although it may be because another mod I'm using alters it or something; it moves it from the Minecraft default tab of construction blocks (in the creative mode block menu) to the mods own tab. Other than that, though, I don't think it changes the glass at all. It's not a huge deal, it'd just make my diagonal windows look a little better. Personally, I don't care much for the default Minecraft glass, the texture is odd; the pixels make it look dirty or streaky. The mod I'm using (that may or may not be causing the problem) adds a number of glass and glass pane variants, though, which makes for nice variation instead of the same thing on every building.
Ah, ok. I thought it might be dependent on the minimap, but figured I'd ask just in case.

Use sneak and hammer click - it's likely that your sneak key has been remapped to something other then shift (the default)

I'm a pixel artist who makes pixel things and maps! I also do line art occasionally.
I have two work in progress resource packs!
This is the second one!
And of course, by "work-in-progress" I mean "will never, ever be completed".
Known and fixed - sorry for letting that slip through.

Still working on the new feature. Fun!
And yes !! You should definitely say 'sneak/click' for dumbasses like me
