Speaking of that, Any plans to adjust the piston issues and include Wallpapers in your mod?
Sigh. As much as I would like to say "no," I am interested in making both. I don't edit vanilla blocks, so the piston issue will be resolved with my own version (plus it would give me lots of freedom, kind of like More Pistons mod).
The wallpaper/carpet addition would actually be the same block, just placeable on any face you choose.
Granted, both of these are only in the planning stages at the moment. The piston might require a bit of work, and for carpets I need to study entities.
So since pistons utilize three separate block IDs in addition to a tile entity for tracking.. yeah, I can put my time to better use making cooler stuff. Carpets are definitely in, and I figured out a cool way to do them. Sadly (but for the better) I have to expand my data size.. and I have to do it without breaking old saves.

So this new block could be placed, lets say on the floor. And then be able to place a table on top of it so there is no bare floor?
Nice to know that pistons might be coming later down the line, I wouldn't mind seeing a carpenter hammer customizable one where you can right and left click a piston to set it's length or other settings. (that's just too cool)
Good luck being able to fix your data size and not cause issues.
Hey weren't you supposed to be taking a break!?

Yay for getting code working, that's always a plus.
And (lol) at pistons. Well, maybe later down the line you'll come up with a non aneurysm inducing way to make it work
As soon as I figure out a way to keep my 1.5.2 install intact and use 1.6+, i'll convert the texture pack for resource pack usage. (i hear multi MC could work but dunno if they updated yet) I'm sure it's just moving things around to the right directories, so if anyone wants to do that, go ahead and post it on the BDcraft forums and i'll put it up on the OP.
Oh and you're also the ONLY mod that I use that's updated to 1.6. I guess everyone is not too eager to move up just yet. (oh wait so is REI minimap, ok the second)
Yes you can make a grass covered slab. Place the carpenters block, click and make it a slab cover it with grass block if you like OR you can cover it with any block and use the seeds to place a grass overlay on it

Yeah you can make ANY slabs as long as the block is supported. (as automatically determined by the code)
One thing to keep in mind is minecraft does NOT support plants on slabs. Not sure there is a way to work around that because of the way plants grow on grass other than placing a full block to put your tree, flowers, whatever on. Or remove the slab and put the plant there. This option would work well for saplings as after they grow, you couldn't tell it wasn't on the half slab.
excellent mod! realy blow my mind with all the possibility , pity it with conflicts with furniture mod, having the same recipe for carpenters block as outer item. Keep it up!

This mod looks pretty awesome. Can you walk up the sloped blocks?
One thing I wish Minecraft did differently was create the world with diagonal slopes, the "staircase" hill look is so un-immersive. And having to bunny hop up hills is silly as well as annoying.
I assume this is compatible with any texture pack, since it inherits it from the block you cover with? Going to have to install this when I get back home.

You are going to have to supply more information then that if the problem is going to be resolved. Mainly: Name of the mod, version of the mod, recipe it conflicts with by name, and any other details that may be important.

Yup slopes work as you would expect them to. Would be kind of silly otherwise if you couldn't walk on them.
Textures are independant of this mod, so yeah works with pretty much anything 90% of the time. (some blocks just don't work due to the way they work internally)
<bleep>, my "vanilla only in the overworld" philosophy ... do I move to a mystcraft age, and live there, or ...
Gonna install this one. Decorations FTW.
p.s. Oh yea, slopes during world gen ... please, figure out how to add that, as a configurable / switchable on a per-dimension basis, then get a mystcraft "slope" symbol ... please, PLEASE ...
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
I don't have a lot of experience with api integration - especially with something like world gen. Blocks are easy.. they all connect to each other; slopes, on the other hand.
Glad you all are enjoying the mod. I've been having difficulties with a few bugs brought about by the new covers. In my persistence though I've taken a second look at redstone propagation (weak power) for the Carpenter's Block and was able to include this functionality. The difficulty of fixing the current bugs is... dizzying. Definitely no ETA.
Speaking of Grass Slabs, here is a story of my epic fail:
I needed to build about 700 for a large build and forget Grass Blocks existed. So I spent about 3-4 hours making a slab, placing in dirt, and adding seeds to it as an overlay.....XD
That reminds me: Carpenter's Liquids? General Idea: Set a block (works even better with animated blocks) and it cycles through a line of texture to produce moving animations as liquid you can swim through. Imagine the things you could do (because I can't think of any!)

You're getting the idea. However, it's not a new block, and it's not an entity either. It's super secret.
Already fixed, and working great! Have some compatibility code that will need to be removed at some point, maybe a few versions down the line.
Pssh! Not doing pistons is my break.
SUSPENSSSSSSSSSSE!

Which mod is it conflicting with?

Those carpets/wallpaper look totally awesome btw.
