Just wondering if anyone has actually tested if the blocks work with Archimedes ships yet on 1.6.4? I only just saw the update now and won't be able to try it out myself till tonight. My players will be pretty stoked if it does work though! Used to just cause the server to do weird things.
Carp blocks is still one of the coolest mods for MC. Our Atlantis themed world would not look nearly as awesome without all the slopes and angles!
I upgraded Carpenters Blocks from 3.2.8 to 3.3.0.1 and now all textures are missing. Not only in inventories, but also when you place the blocks. How can I fix this?

This is usually a bug caused by other mods. I'd first start by running Forge + Carpenter's Blocks alone, then add on from there until something weird happens. It's best to rule out Optifine and MCPatcher first.
Do custom bed textures etc work in a resource pack folder structure or only putting them in the jar? I ask because I forgot to add them to the latest update on our server and messed up our beds in the world. It would be easier to add updates without having to re-put the texture back into the .jar.
Source is linked to on the website. Each block will have to be done a little differently depending on how data is implemented.
Man you weren't kidding on each one being different. I got the barrier by following what was done on the bed and thought sweet, this will be easy. Started messing with the carpenters block/slab with it's six directions and my eyes got crossed. Math is not my strong point...

It seems that optifine causes the most of the missing textures indeed, but without optifine still one of the textures is missing. I'll post it there first though. The thing is I already had optifine when it worked fine, and I didn't upgrade optifine yesterday. I did however upgrade forge, so maybe that has some influence too?
I excluded Ice as a cover because I couldn't use the built-in render methods to make it alpha transparent - it was easier to disable it instead. I can make it work, but it's not a big priority at the moment.

The Carpenter's Block is an older implementation before I started using ForgeDirection for everything. I will probably add the missing support myself soon, if it's not done by then... I wouldn't worry about it.

Try a different version of Optifine. The version of Forge I test with is only a couple of versions old. It's essential that you grab the version of Forge that Optifine is built for (it's usually noted somewhere).

In the optifine thread someone advised downgrading forge to build 1130 for a similar issue, and that has indeed fixed the problem. Downgrading Optifine wouldn't really be an option as I used that same version before without any problems. It was after I upgraded forge that the issue appeared, so downgrading that made sense. For anyone else having the same issue, here is your solution!

Hey I was wondering, will Carpenter Blocks for 1.7.2 ever be updated again? I know on the downloads page it says its final, however some of the additions being made for 1.7.10 are kinda awesome(illumination for instance) and I would like to have them in 1.7.2 as well. I find it kinda strange to have certain versions having special additions while some versions are left alone. As far as I'm aware, most mods update as a whole, not just for individual versions.
The final versions receive bug fixes only, not new content. This ensures they're kept more stable than even the latest build, and I can focus all my attention on adding new things to only a single targeted version of MC and Forge.
Hey Mineshopper, have you thought about adding a block that acts like the Garage Door but the block is placed on a horizontal plane instead of vertical so that you'd have a retractable floor or roof?

I peeked at the cactus code, but didn't see any immediate reason for this to be happening. I will look into it.
