I was really in love with Thermal expansion back in 1.4.7, but alas my modpack is updated to 1.6.2 so I guess I'll see you later old friend. Keep up the great work. I'm watching this post.
There is smthng strange in my neighborhood server: I set skins for me and my wife, we see each other in new skin, but when I run 100-150 blocks away, and return - we see default skin, though I looking new skin for myself.
I like your mod. It works well together with all the other mods on our small private Sever. I hope you will update the mod soon because we want to update to 1.6.2 as soon as possible.

Guys, he doesn't even know if it will be out for 1.7, let alone 1.6.2. Read back a page:
Hello everyone. Been a while.
Just wanted to post something to let people know I'm still alive. Life has been...interesting. There are moments that come along every now and then that just take all of your plans and scatter them to the winds. And when that happens, you get to stand there in the raw confusion and peripeteia of it all and be introspective.
That's what happened to me about two months ago. There are aspects of my life I have neglected for far too long, and circumstances dictate that I should really revisit one of them.
So, I still plan on wrapping up TE at some point here, but I just can't say when that will be. 1.6.2? No clue. 1.7.x? Maybe. The priorities in my life have shifted, and while this mod only filled my free time before, I have much less of it now.
If you are using GregTech then that's his nerf and you can turn it off in his configs.
Do you happen to know the exact config item required? I have to say it really burns me off when one mod author nerfs something from another author's mod or nerfs vanilla functionality. Not to mention any names or anything but, hey, you know, maybe I don't WANT my players to have to industrialize to tier 2 machines before they can make a vanilla anvil?
Ahem. *cough* *cough* </rant>
Anyway, just weighing in with a note that I too am EAGERLY awaiting Thermal Expansion for 1.6.2. It's the one remaining major mod I'm waiting on for my 1.6 private server. Not the only mod, true; I'm hoping for Nether Ores to update as well, and would be ecstatic if Eloraam manages to find time to update RedPower to 1.6 - some of her machines, notably filters and sorting machines, are insanely useful. And I miss volcanoes too. But Thermal Expansion is definitely the major mod that I am aware of no substitute for. Tesseracts, liquiduct, redstone energy conduit, the igneous extruder, the aqueous accumulator, liquid transposers, the magma crucible, the magmatic engine.... I made massive use of all of these.
Why not make this awesome mod opensource and maybe someone can update it? I hate when people don't have time to update and don't let others help them.
Especially when you made mod like this one, with really unique features.
In case you didn't know, KL does, reportedly, have plans to turn TE open source after the next update, whenever that comes.
Direwolf20 said in his Youtube Video Forgecraft2 S2E6 BC Power King Lemming will be Updating this mod for sure but he is very busy at the moment. So i think there is hope for 1.62

There are people helping me, but the entire mod is transitioning into a 3.0 version - that is the majority of the delay. A straight port might not be too difficult and is something I'll consider. Open source only works when the entire mod isn't being rewritten from the ground up.

Never heard of this and haven't seen it replicated.
There is no dev build at this time, nor are dev builds something I'm keen on releasing.
So is it safe to say no TE3 in the next few days? :/
KingLemmingCoFH, I for one would be perfectly fine with a straight up port of the existing TE to 1.6.2 assuming it isn't too much work. Either way, thanks for posting and keeping us updated.

If you have any official statement you ever want put forward here or on IRC just let us know and we will pass it on

Nice to hear from you by the way.
I like it when mod authors are active in their mods forums. Especially when it comes to this kinda of information as well as getting responses from posting bugs.
