And to all of those who are here begging for updates to 1.8, I hope you know I could get you all infractions for that. If you don't have anything to contribute to the thread other than inane comments about wanting an update, better not to comment at all. I understand the difficulty I wouldn't have asked if not for the fact that hippo does the animations through joints and so he would have to add more to do so (technically with this mod you have a custom player model) I never said it would be easy
I understand how adding fingers to a model would work. I've done the same for miniature Minecraft animations or screenshots quite a few times. I also understand, however, that fingers require a lot more fine-tuning to make them look decent than other parts. Even the slightest tweak incorrectly for something like rotation limits can make them look weird. Not to mention, a lot of detail would be lost, considering how often you would be seeing them.
There's also to consider that with the already cramped skin images, where would you put the section for fingers? And how would you attach them to the hands? Just sticking them on the ends of the arms wouldn't do, because that would look weird and unnatural. Having them indented somewhat and removing a portion of the arm would cause a plethora of issues with various skins. It just takes a lot to figure out how you would even begin to get it sorted out, let alone the actual coding and implementation.
That's not to say I don't want to see this in the mod. By all means, I would love it if my little Wither Skelly fingers could finally wrap around the hilt of my Genocide Edge. I just don't see it happening, given the amount of effort it would require to get working.

this is true however with the update of improved first person right around the corner the fingers would be rendered the entire time.

install bksprs core alongside it and it will run the compatability issues have been known for a while

i did a comparison with this mod and the mobends mod check it out i think you may find out what make the other mod so great
