Version 1.1 is up! I fixed the name of glowstone, fixed shadows on stair blocks, added an optional creative tab, and added two basic panes:
I changed pane rendering algorithm so that it's easier to make textures. They will no longer be cut off in the middle in some cases, and top is properly aligned with side texture.
Wendigo101: From me? Zero. Texture packs can easily override mods' textures so you can go and bug someone to create those textures for you.
robplaysminecraft: In future versions I'll probably add corner stairs.
RS_OP_DRAGON: I don't think I want to do this. If someone contibutes some beautiful chiseling table texture, maybe.
I really like the potential for this mod but sorry to say but these aren't original. These textures are ok to use its just they aren't "Unique" Please if you can get someone to texture them for you or make some textures yourself, that would be great

There really isn't any need for "Original" textures. These come from the painterly pack, to give people a starter, but being textures they're open for people to modify as they choose. (And if this mod gains popularity, I'm sure we'll be getting a number of new "texture packs" for this mod that are either self-made or other compilations.) [Additionally, if YOU don't like it, YOU feel free to make your own textures! No? Thought so.]
I personally LOVE they they're from painterly, so I find your suggestion rather horrid, actually. No offense to the mod maker, but I don't have any blind faith in him or others making textures for this mod as the default ones and them ending up better than painterly textures. That could end up with us all having an end product we aren't happy with. And since I'm personally too lazy to go in right now and change 50+ textures, I'm happy with having perfectly pretty textures from that texture pack that I KNOW are good textures.
I ran into an odd interaction with Chisel and Buildcraft (built from github sources for 1.5.1):
NullPointerException

It seems that when scrolling through Buildcraft's entry in the creative tab, it results in a crash once it starts seeing more of the chisel blocks. It appears BC was actually generating Facades for the Chisel-based metadata. Without Chisel, the creative screen was fine for BC so it's an interaction between the two, perhaps you could look into it as well?
GSValore: could you post this to Buildcraft thread? It's their code throwing the exception...
MrRyuss: There is a new tab for all chisel blocks now. At the top of your creative inventory there should be an arrow pointing right. Click it and you'll see the tab.

I intend to, it seems to have something to do with the way facades create entries for new blocks and it chokes when finding the Lapis Lazuli blocks in Chisel (because the metadata doesn't extend to 15). Which results in Chisel returning no texture (variation) for a request metadata and Buildcraft basically crashes at that point. Just thought I'd let you know what I found out... not sure if there's a remedy for it.
I was going to make a mod similar to this one and have a collection of over 200 more textures I scavenged from out of date texture packs. Feel free to look at em and use em.
Great mod, allows for some really great buildings! I think you should give some credit to painterly pack for the textures though. Other than that, amazing work.

I Made a mod spotlight for this mod I definitely love it. I hate thought hat people think Im copying captain sparklez :/ Hope you feature it and you update it.
You create the Chiseling Table with a Chisel (C) Any Wood (W) and Iron Ingots (I)

Did you figure it out from the part of my post where I mention the painterly pack?

They do.
Sorry, didn't notice that before. Edited my post.
