It's kind of hard to ascend a hill because when you jump and sprint against a single block, you jump backwards and die. Maybe make it so you can only wall jump against a two high wall?
Here's a funny idea for the config:WALL JUMPING SKELETONS. I would like a bit of challenge, so this would be a funny thing to see; skeletons shooting you as they wall jump up a cave. Maybe they should have less accuracy when wall jumping. It's easy to ignore a pack of skeletons in a ravine so this would be fantastic for a far future update. As someone with very little AI knowledge, I would find doing something like this very hard.
Not even mentioning the fact I would need to edit base files, which is always something to avoid if possible.
Hey I posted an error log a while ago. I found the mistake. You said the mod, that it has to look, if "SPACE" gets pressed. But I have my jump button on middle click. The mod cannot assign the changed key to the SPACE button. That's why the error comes.
Can you change it so that the mod responds when *pressing" jump once again while in mid air instead of "holding" space while in midair?
I find it troubling to explore whilst jump sprinting if at every cliff i turn around. The repeated-motion of actually having to press space also makes more sense as it is a last resort effort to escape; such a task would require at least some concentration or strain on the player.

Hmm... It's a tough one. It would be more complicated that way, I wuld have to create probably a significant amount more code in order to be able to do that, but I'll give it a go.
A great mod, could see myself using it a lot, however can you add a button you can press to enable/disable the walljump feature, I find myself walljumping a lot without wanting to in caves.
This mod works in SMP so I jumped down a ravine on a HG server and wall jumped, took no fall damage then wall jumped out. I would also like an easier way to get out of water. thx
The game gagues how much fall damage you take by how far you fall, and it doesn't seem to recognize the wall jumps as stopping your decsent; thus all of the various distances you fell after getting off the ground are added up. This probobally doesn't help much, just explaining it for all the confused people.

You should make a config option to where if you want to wall jump you have to hit jump twice (Once to leave the ground and twice to jump off the wall) because I hate being randomly flipped around when I try to climb a mountain.
Or maybe have a option to hold shift while you're on a wall to stick there but these are just suggestions! (Based off of the Shadow armor In megaman X6)

Should work just fine, I've tested with a friend and everything seems to work, although Bukkit servers, I think, are a different story.
