This is a mod I created with the MCreator application took awhile, there are still some things I am unable to do but the mod is still very fun to use.
CURRENT Features:
- New generation at depths of 0-40 hard stone appears can be broken to hard cobble and crafted into hard stone bricks
- Emerald tools and armor
- Hard stone versions of ores including diamond, iron, coal, and new ore Amethyst
- Amethyst used for decorations (amethyst block = x9 amethyst) single amethyst in bench creates 4 purple dye
- New hard ores and hard stone, cobble and bricks can be mined with emerald or diamond
- Emerald is slightly worse than diamond less uses (750 all tools) and slightly slower
- Hard coal drops 2x coal
- New emerald generation
- Wood > Stone > Iron > Emerald > Diamond is the new order to get better tiered tools
Things I want to add in the future:
- Change generation of the hard stone block so that it covers all area instead of being somewhat patchy
- Increase depths of generated worlds
- Include new generated structures (volcanoes, creeper dungeons in lower areas after increasing world depth, and finally underground areas like Ice caves, underground jungles, and possibly and maybe underground rivers)
- New furnace that allows for multiple stacks (2 most likely) to be smelted at once using new blocks and items to be crafted
- New uses for the amethyst currently included
- Achievements
Next Update:
- Fix Emerald armor texture bug
- Nerf emerald sword so it is less powerful than diamond
- Possibly, more uses for amethyst
- Achievements?
- Possibly more, stay tuned!
To install use Forge and install in mods section in your .minecraft folder.
The mod may be compatible with modloader as well but hasn't been tested (use at own risk)
IMPORTANT: In the current version there is a texture bug! to get the texture to show correctly place the mod files in your minecraft.jar instead of the mod folder! this will be fixed in the next update. thanks for your support
Thanks for putting the video here and btw do you think adding something to the hard blocks like droping more stuff like the coal one or making a hard pickaxe to mine them or something that will be great! I can't wait to see what are you going to do with this mod
i was thinking about something but i wasnt sure what to make them do because having them drop 2 items to me seems overpowered, coal not so much since its just a fuel. do you have any ideas on what you think would be good?

To get new generation you will have to create a new world, it may appear in newly generated chunks but i'm not certain.
