you can download the mod on the first page, and the sorcecode is minecraft. also, people have already updated it to 1.8 and such, we just want the newer versions as well. GuntherDW has 1.8, 1.9 and 1.9.4:
Seeing as Kabo's been offline for such a long time, and multiple 1.7.10 unofficial versions exist. I think I should just publish the 1.8 version I made a while ago.
Just a note though, if Kabo wants this post and/or the forks deleted just PM me and I'll do that ASAP.
It's kind of a port of his mod to Liteloader as well, so you can just install it like any other mod.
The "SMP" folder contains the bukkit portion of the code, but I had to work with an older version because the svn repo wasn't updated.
I did however add multi-world support, as well as compressed packets to it though.
It however wasn't really meant to go "public", so I just kind of took a json from one of my other mods/plugins for use on our server. So excuse the "blatant" advertising in the "author" tag though.
The OpenGL code could use a bit of refining, but it's on a bit of a low prio at the moment.
I included the source as a external zip so if anyone feels the need to actually fix the code to make it less glitchy go right ahead :P.
I did however move his "configuration" to a more liteloader-esque fashion, on the LiteLoader panel. http://wrongplace.be/files/2015-01-15_11.50.06.png (The slider show the correct notation now though)
Debug mode just spams the lines that it gets from the Bukkit mod onto the client's console window.
EDIT: I did make a couple changes to the plugins though. The plugin actually requests/sends the server a nice packet on login to actually get those packets, which in return makes it easier for the Bukkit plugin to see who is actually using the clientmod. It doesn't just rely on the permission any more. It should also just support any "multi-verse" esque plugin, seeing as we don't use Multiverse on our server but a custom plugin for our worlds.
Just showing villages in singleplayer (and multiplayer ofcourse) should work just fine though.
I suspect if someone were to see what changes needed to be made for the new API, Eruvanos would be happy to handle a pull request so we can get this mod up for 1.11.
Even better if someone is able to take the LiteLoader mod and have the Villager Marker GitHub project hold all the "moving parts" and create both "halves" of the equation. If anyone is going to contact Eruvanos directly, please be kind and patient. I'm finding quite a few "I don't play Minecraft anymore" former developers. I'd prefer we not give them reason to stop checking their inbox.
Just an FYI : I reported here a couple months ago that I was not seeing the sphere around villages. I finally worked through the problem. If the Dot Size in settings is Large, I do not see the dots. If it's at Small or Medium, I do see the dots. I have sphere density at the max of 5856, because I can. Lower density does not affect the dot visibility.
I'm running v1.10 snapshot rB840010-b4-4 with Spigot/MC 1.10 over Win8.1

https://dev.bukkit.org/projects/villagemarker/files is alive, and "should" support 1.11. I'm running 1.11.2, and I plan to send a tip to eruvanos in gratitude for the 1.11 update and to request for the 1.11.2 update. Throwing money in the direction of a developer is cheaper than me trying to learn all of everything to do it myself.
I will fetch the 1.11 LiteLoader mod in single-player, but I can't test the server plugin as I'm already on 1.11.2.
Just came back to this thread to check for updates, sorry.
I've been running a 1.11.2/Spigot server for months - no issues at all with VMM and LiteLoader for 1.11.2 from the new/current launcher.
I am trying to test it in 1.11.2, with both forge and liteloader in the background and it just wont load in. Nothing in the liteloader side panel. What did you do to make it work?
Edit: Just saw Romaq's post, found the 1.11.2. Crisis averted.
https://dev.bukkit.org/projects/villagemarker/files has LiteLoaderMod-for-VillageMarker-0.45 v2 at the top of the page. It downloads as a .jar, just rename that to .litemod and you are good to go. I *think* that and LiteLoader are all you need for SinglePlayer. If you are on a Spigot server, they will need the "VillageMarker-0.45 for Spigot 1.11.2" .jar a little further down the page.
I posted a request for code changes on https://dev.bukkit.org/projects/villagemarker. It would be really skippy if extended Bounding Box information were folded into this project with LiteLoader and for SMP use.

Does anyone have a pointer to the source code? Is there a license for it?
https://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/villagemarker/ is the link to the download
https://github.com/eruvanos/villagemarkermod-bukkit-spigot has the source.

Not at this time, and nobody with the skill to do it appears interested.

Yup. I figure I will need to learn how to update the source myself and publish it, but that will take some time I don't have.

It sure makes village detection from a distance easy, but the "debugging village mechanics" is so useful, especially when building a village breeder.

Wasn't there a 1.11.2 Liteloader version at one point? If so I can't find it anymore.
Howdy!

You are most welcome. I really wish to see Village Marker more in use. It's a great tool!
I made a post on http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/2345401-bounding-box-outline-reloaded-mod-for-minecraft-1?page=6 which discusses the hope of having the code from irtimaled's fork of VillagerMarker in Forge applied to expand the SMP Spigot Plugin and the LiteLoader client with @eruvanos's fork. I prefer using LiteLoader, and the eruvanos fork has the VillagerMarker only Spigot Plugin code. A collaboration of the two projects would really help both, in my opinion.

A Sponge version would be nice, as well.
Villager Marker Mod is up and live on https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/villagemarkermod-for-liteloader for 1.12!
Works Great!
