It's not really that easy for people that aren't looking for them to find them
I completely disagree with this point but I can respect the design decision.
Unfortunately for me, I actually like my Redstone to work properly and the additions made in 1.5 so am playing on 1.5. Secret Rooms is or 1.4.7 so I will have to wait quite some time. When they do update - it will likely be for 1.5.1 now, something I tried to upgrade too earlier but for some reason I couldn't get to work so had to downgrade back to 1.5

Version 1.2 is out, check the first post for the link. Version 1.2 changed crafting (again), added a lot of configuration options, and introduces 3 new items: Book Button, Brick Button, and Nether Brick Button. Also there was a pretty big render error that would keep the torches from showing up all the time. I'm surprised no body said anything about it. If anyone finds errors please speak up so I can fix them.
It's not really that easy for people that aren't looking for them to find them
I completely disagree with this point but I can respect the design decision.
I had a change of heart (figuring this mod is not only for SSP/SMP, but also potentially for some adventure maps which might benefit from hiding the levers base), so there is now a configuration option that will do that, keep in mind that for now at least it's a client side only configuration (I haven't implemented a packet handler yet), so in multiplayer people might see different things.
I think now that this has non-torch lever items it needs a name change, rather them me picking some and having a poll, I'd like to get suggestions and then poll everyone. So what should the new name be?
I'll suggest Concealed Switches, or Adventure Components.
If I'm going to ask people for their opinions I might as well ask where I should go with this mod. My current criteria for adding to the mod is:
1) Would you find it in Scooby Doo, and
2) Is it NOT possible in vanilla MineCraft...
but I'm thinking of other stuff now.
I'll suggest either I should stop adding to this mod and work on a newer cooler mod, I should add things to improve adventure maps, or add more redstone related things.
I'm looking for suggestions at this point, so anything you want to say please don't be shy.
This mod is turning out really well. I love the new features. As in to this mod as I am, I have not downloaded it yet lol (waiting for one other mod to update that adds world gen before I upgrade)
I love that you took my suggestion and added timers on the buttons, And love all the new types of buttons you added. Will be very useful.
Not very good at coming up with names lol, So unfortunately will not be able to assist you there.
As far as where you "go" with this mod. I think your current direction you are going is great, With adding "mechanics" for use with doors and such, Hidden and secret passages. If anything just continue on the way your going. (without ripping off the "secret rooms" mod)
Like stated before by another user, Levers really should auto reset to the "off" position (Pull lever down, sends redstone current. X amount of seconds later the lever returns to its up(off) position)
I think this is something you should focus on IMO, Because if I run into my room, Pull the lever and expose my secret room, All is pointless if someone just comes up from behind me and see's my lever pulled and my doorway exposed.
And to be honest if I am going to use a mod that adds these features in, I truly do not want to have to run redstone circuits just to make a lever go back to the "off" state, as it wastes space and resources for a feature that "should" be built in.
Keep doing what you are doing, this mod is great and can only get better.
Edit:
Something else you could consider is maybe something to do with pressure plates?
Hi I have made a Mod review in German for this mod
What other mods do you have installed (and what version of forge)?
I fixed a big render bug in V1.2, but you seem to be having some other issue. (The torches and buttons aren't showing up). I'd really like to fix this, so if you can please let me know what forge, and other mods you're running.

Thanks; I suspected Optifine.
Unfortunatly adf.ly is down right now so I can't get Optifine or TooManyItems and do a complete test... but it looks like there were reports of custom blocks not showing up in the Optifine A builds, and it looks like it's been fixed in B1.
Honestly I don't know. I'd like to change redstone torch levers, and have some interesting ideas.
I want to improve the "concealability" of the hidden buttons/torch bases by changing the lighting values on the sides, and changing the side textures to blend a bit better.
I'd like to do some cool things with paintings (right now I'm trying to beat some technical challenges there), and have two directions I might go with that.
I might introduce something to conceal items, I have an idea I really like for that. If you're as "old" as me, you might have played Stonekeep and can guess how I plan to hide items.
I'm starting to regret all the visibility options I've added and really, really want to change the way book/brick/nether brick buttons are configured. It's fairly difficult for people to configure them, I'm thinking of trying to write a program to automatically calculate where the buttons should go, putting the responsibility on the texturepack maker, and/or providing a small texture pack database for popular ones that will have the configuration options built into the mod. Also if the better graphical options are as good as I'd like, I'll probably get rid of the ability to hide the torch lever base, and instead add a new type of torch that has no base, but costs quite a bit more.
I'm also starting to think about long term goals and am drawn to the idea of adding tools to help people make adventure maps, but I'd like to keep everything balanced for multiplayer.
Those are some ideas, but like I said I honestly don't know, and I might go with something completely different. And thanks for asking it gave me the opportunity to organize my thoughts.
Just wanted to report a bug. This happened on an SMP dedicated server shortly after pressing the bookcase button. It happened twice but I've been unable to replicate it on my own. Here's the error itself, hopefully this helps!

The mod's been out for 1 month! Yay!
I just tallied up the total downloads for the occasion, we're at 2902, awesome! That's nearly 100/day (though about 1/3rd of them were in the first week), I never thought I'd make something with that much demand.
Just wanted to report a bug. This happened on an SMP dedicated server shortly after pressing the bookcase button. It happened twice but I've been unable to replicate it on my own. Here's the error itself, hopefully this helps!
Thanks for the bug report! I fixed the bug. (In case you were wondering it was with mob AI... the book buttons are resized dynamically based on the texture packs resolution, since the server controls AI and server's don't have texture packs, when the mob tried to look through the button it would cause a server crashing error... sorry about that :()
The OP has been updated with this link to version 1.2.1, the clients don't absolutely need to be updated since only server logic was changed. Hopefully that was the only potentially crashing bug. It was pretty fun to debug, so thanks for that, I do enjoy a good puzzle.
Wow, you work fast! Glad you were able to fix it. Thank you for the update, and thanks for explaining the bug- I've been studying Java lately and hearing about the debugging process is interesting to me.
That mod overwrites vanilla Bricks and Nether Bricks with its own brick items, though the textures remain the same. I'm not sure if it's possible for you to fix this, but if so, it would be much appreciated!
Hey! Love the idea of this mod, but there's a little problem: I get an error that an itemID you used (501?) is already in use by Buildcraft. Could you consider either changing the itemID to something outlandishly different (i.e. 19586) or explain how I can edit it myself? Thanks a lot in advance! Am using version 1.0 (MC1.4.7)
EDIT:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Slot 501 is already occupied by buildcraft.silicon.BlockAssemblyTable@33f33e0f when adding torchLevers.TorchLeverBlock@266f656e
EDIT2 : I resolved it by going to "\Server\config\buildcraft\main.conf", editing that with Notepad++, and you can change the conflicting block ID there.

Exactly! If you'd prefer to change the Torch Lever IDs, there is a config file at (basepath)/config/TorchLevers.conf also. (I'm not 100% sure that was in the MC1.4.7 version though...)
Hey null pointer exception when placing on the back of a Buildcraft engine
NOOOOO!!!!! NPEs are the bane of my existence! Thanks for pointing it out, it should be fixed in Version 1.3, though I can't test with BuildCraft yet since it hasn't been released for MC1.6.
Getting a weird, and honestly rather obnoxious crash. The game loads just fine, I can load a world just fine, I can even run around and play in the world without any problems... I can even craft and use any of the items from this mod.
But upon entering Creative mode and attempting to go to the second page of creative tabs, this happens

I've already tried removing the mods that might be conflicting with it, such as the Unlit Torches / Lanterns mod or Too Many Items, but to no avail. Any idea what could be causing it?
This is MC 1.6.2, to note.
That crash is with the Illusion blocks disabled, enabling them causes this crash upon loading a world instead:

---EDIT---
I've looked into it more in-depth, the second crash is because of the MapWriter minimap mod, probably a rendering error when trying to figure out how to render illusion blocks. Then I'm willing to bet the first crash is caused when you disable illusion blocks; because the icon for the Torch Lever creative tab is an Illusion Bookcase, which wouldn't even be loaded into the game when disabled.
I completely disagree with this point but I can respect the design decision.

NOOOOO!!!!! NPEs are the bane of my existence! Thanks for pointing it out, it should be fixed in Version 1.3, though I can't test with BuildCraft yet since it hasn't been released for MC1.6.
But upon entering Creative mode and attempting to go to the second page of creative tabs, this happens
