I don't like that the entire box is shiny when you have an enchanted item. Could you add an option to disable that?
Also I'd like the ability to have the custom HUD, but default damage bars (just a plain bar). Maybe an option for that, too?
Yea, I can do both of those, I actually had it in previous versions where there was no option to fully disable, only the option to disable the bars, so they became vanilla again though I removed it when I allowed the HUD to fully disable.
I have another text problem, this time for the jukebox. Also, something weird happens in the chat when I take a screenshot, but pressing 't' fixes the text in the chat, but not the jukebox text.
One more thing: When using TukMC, Rei's Minimap doesn't properly enable the entity radar or cave mapping on an SMP server. It has something to do with the chat, since the way that's enabled is by inserting a special string of characters into the login message.
Can you think of any possible conflicts being created?

I had install the input fix in server so I could use § in chat without kick away from the sv.
but there seems no way to add § to the list

Moving HUD Elements is coming in 3.0 but I can push it back as I feel necessary.
It should already be in the list, check maybe the 4th page or so...
Found a random bug and not sure if its Tukmc related or Twilight Forest related:
If you spawn a block of "Carminite Debris" in creative mode and place it on the ground, and then "point" at it for a few seconds with the TukMC block tool tips turned on, the game will crash.
This only seems to occur with Tuckmc tool tips, and not NEI tool tips.

Ok, finished making an update checker. Will be in 1.9 for sure. Added ability to use default status hud (food/xp/hearts/armor). Fixed block under cursor display freaking out with certain mod blocks (I think). Might be more stuff that I can't remember, will update this post with full details when 1.9 is up.
EDIT: I captured everything in the post Might push 1.9.1 so all of you can get a glimpse of the update checker, mainly because I want to add functionality so you can view the recent changes without having to restart minecraft (configuration menu button)

I have some bugs/fixes I think you should check out.
1. In the item bar, any black/dark item in it will appear almost fully black which is very hard to see . Example: obsidian, black wool, nether brick, coal
I think you should make the background of the items clear or a border, just a suggestion.
2. When pressing the command key (which is in the controls menu), a slash won't appear in chat (just a little thing that bothers me lol)
3. When choosing an item in your item bar (like with your scroll button on your mouse or number keys), the item name doesn't show up (an essential thing for some servers I play)
I hope this helps you out, I want this to be the best HUD mod out there since it's already amazing

3. Are you using 2.9.x? Any 2.9 release should have this option, I think last page of the config.

Are you running the latest version? Try re-downloading 2.8
