That's why he's probably going to update because of the new 1.6 launcher it basically screws up most of the mods in the pack. And the other people that has it probably got it by downloading and installing it earlier than you, before the new launcher. So it will best to wait for the launcher for this mod pack to come out so there will be no problem with installing it.

Cool! Maybe there might be a mod that would by pass the Technic launcher just to put modpacks into the land generation slot instead of modding or using a launcher! And I would call BetterSurvival simply, Minecraft Survival. This should be vanilla already! All of these modders have really out done themselves. I expecially like Simple Ores, MAtmos, and Weather Mod.
