Um, did you ask permission from the author of Factorization first? Seeing as this is nearly a direct copy of his mod, with a few extra features.
I mean, cool mod and all, but I'd feel better using it if I knew that he didn't mind spin-offs.
Edit: If you're going to talk about "innovation", your mod doesn't have much. You don't improve on the interface, the textures, the idea, you just add a higher tier barrel. At the very least ask neptunepink first, so that he knows you're using his stuff.
Btw, don't give me all the "intellectual property patent/copyright shouldn't exist" crap. It doesn't matter: you copied him directly without even asking.
How about you read other peoples comments BEFORE asking the same question they have asked. And yes i know this is old stuff.
i like the barrels..., but i cant use them with this amount of items, especially with such a big setup of machines, i hope he can fix it
Dude I'm acually really sorry the barrels are having trouble running on your machine. I can't fix it if I don't know what the problem is. All I know is that it lags on your machine witch is not a sufficient ammount of data.

as i've written above,
holding 2500 stacks of items in 8 barrel means (at least it seem so, when i have a look at the performance) that there are 2500 stack of items rendered all the time instead of only 8 stacks.
i think this is the main "problem" i don't know your code, so i just can suggest
You know this is a really nice mod does exactly what its meant to do. But there is a thing I liked about the factorization ones, they were compatible with Applied Energistics.
Thanks in advance
if you could make these compatible with ME network that'd make it a lot better
Need4Poop402, feature already has been suggested in beggining of year, but I want suggest implement feature one more time:
In world where used many mods (specially many ores) often hard find proper barrel by item image. Maybe possible add (optional)
show item name under item image at barrel side. This can help a lot when need find proper barrel.

Is there a setting to make it so the items in the barrel don't stick out of the block? also it would be nice if the upgrading process could be done without making a new barrel.

the configuration already exists. Set in the render part renderIn3d to false
Hey nice mod, is it fine with you if i use this mod in my modpack
I can't ******* believe it. A few posts up, there was a discussion if having bright red text to make users open their eyes was needed. AND that a tab called "licence" couldn't be more obvious. I guess it is needed. Although, on other mods that a post to state that somebody's using the mod in their modpacks is mandatory, there are MANY more requests then on the thread + my PM's. Thats discluding people just ignoring the requirement. (When I made a mod pack that encouraged me to make this mod I had mods there that required some 'heads up' that I'm using the mod and redistributing it in my own methods but it was private so I thought, "who is going to know!?') Most people seem to have working brain cells. Congratz!
I honestly never ask permission. If you put it up for people to download at will that IS your agreement to use it as you wish. Also IMO using adfly breaks the "do not distribute for profit" clause in the Mojang TOS. One could also argue YouTube as another valid TOS violation. But seriously tho If you put it up for download then I no longer need permission as it is made public at that point.

Hmm. I guess Any mod that has adfly links are breaking the law so that means just about ever minecraft mod. Mojang said this: "Any tools you write for the game from scratch belongs to you. Other than commercial use (unless specifically authorized by us in our brand and assets usage guidelines - for instance you are allowed to put ads on your YouTube videos containing Minecraft footage), you're free to do whatever you want with screenshots and videos of the game, but don't just rip art resources and pass them around, that's no fun." They explicitly said youtube guys can put up ads (The youtubers whosecareers and incomesolely on playing Minecraft are just Pathetic. Not a way to make a stable living.). But they never said anything for modders. Setting up ads will make mods violate the TOS. I just realized that almost every mod is breaking the law and yet when I released this mod without ads people complain that its illegalbecause I copied some idea that he does not have a patent for. How much more ignorant can these people be; the entire minecraft community?

I thought that the Mojang ToS only protected against source code being re-distributed and being put behind ads, but I could be wrong. However, since Notch said mod authors can copyright their mod, again, as long as it doesn't use minecraft's base code, then technically you still do need permission. It is in the public domain, but you would still need permission to re-distribute it. Again, I could just be talking out of my a** here, so sorry if I am, but that is what I thought the ToS included.

Considering most of the minecraft community is made up of 9-11 year olds, it will only get worse. In my opinion, you should just say no. If people are that ignorant and stupid, just f*** them. I know that can be hard to do, because then they would use it anyways and unless you want to go to court, there isn't much to do about it, but at least it would help a little bit.
New update coming out tomorrow! This is the 3.0 update. Yes, I skipped like 1000 versions but this is a BIG update. The biggest one so far.
Gameplay:
- Barrels now don't let you break them instantly when you click out an item. It will give you a one second buffer. That means that enchanted exes don't demolish the barrels when you try to take them out.
- You can now fill your inventory with items. Just take out one stack then switch to another slot and click again, that will fill your inventory.
- The barrel would report one stack extra of items when the barrel is near full. That means your logistic pipes networks will now report proper item counts
- fixed item duplication/deletion when a barrel is getting accessed and a save was going on in the same game loop
- more languages
- blocks will orientate smartly if a machine placed them
- is some rare cases barrels would not update the player inventory now they do.
- barrels can now be reorientated (with something like a buildcraft wrench)
- When taking items out, the barrel will fill non-finished stacks then start filling empty stacks
Graphics:
- fixed artifacts in 3d item renderer
- fixed support for high-definition texture packs
- fixed memory leak with high-definition texture packs
- the item glimmer effect is now has the generic look of what minecraft has (I have not done this before because of a bug with 3d renders)
- special renders are now scaled correctly.
- fixed crash when mods have items that render with an item entity
- Maps now show after a world reload
- Performance improvement with item glimmer effect and maps.
- Compasses don't go haywire when you move. Its like how item frames work
- When the item count is too big (the text is about to to off the barrel) it will be replaced by the infinity sign.
- fixed flickering issue when items tried to render on the same axis as the barrel texture
- items are placed correctly on the barrel if a mod was doing some weird stuff
- fixed flickering when item had a damage bar
- items don't suddenly disappear if not viewing the barrel directly.
Networking:
- packets are a bit smaller
- avoids sending packets if not needed
Configuration:
- added option that makes the barrels display the item name under the item - the error warning that tells you if you messed setting up block ids are more helpful (gives you a suggestion on what block ids are free). - texture packs now have control over when thebarrel looks like on the face that stuff is getting rendered on - fixed interaction configuration
technical: - initialization on servers are faster - barrels now have 2 slots according to inventory managers
How about you read other peoples comments BEFORE asking the same question they have asked. And yes i know this is old stuff.

MOD PACKS:
Look under the 'Licence' tab.
Is this needed?
If you're getting tired of answering it you should.
