In Mo Creatures there are a few eggs that rely on proximity to a torch to hatch, and I've found they've stopped hatching since this mod changes the torches. Is there a chance of a patch for this?
When I use the improved first person mod with this mod, the hand holding the lantern model is being held in the hand. Is it possible to fix that?
I can add a config option for more animals to drop fat, but the improved first person thing could take some time to fix (assuming i ever get around to fixing it) if i do, i'll try to add it by the next update

Pelep, can you please change the recipe for the lantern handle so I can have it installed with other mods together?
This three iron Ingots are just creating items from other mods they I`ve installed.
I`ve about 81 Mods installed. Maybe you can add an Option to Change the recipe(s) of this mod in the config file?!

hmm.. you're not the first one to report an incompatibility with mcpc. sadly, i don't use bukkit, so i'm not very familiar with its inner workings. when i have the time, i'll look into it and see if something can be done. but right now, you'll just have to use a regular forge server if you wanna play on smp
The funny part is I've had this work on another 1.5.2 server pack I've put together based off Big Dig and it works fine with MCPC. However this particular version has the bug I mentioned earlier. I'll have to do some experimentation but the bug could be related to another mod and not MCPC at all
EDIT: I appear to have islolated it. I used an older version of MCPC and now the mod works perfectly.
For other users I used build #533. This isn't to say that other builds won't work but I know the latest dev builds do not. In the process of updating to the recommended build to see if that one works.
I have fixed both of my issues. I installed DynamicLights and removed item 50 from the lighting up, and then the timers went away when I got rid of the PLC thing.
If you have some time over, how about adding candles? Candle wax would be made of oil and candles would be made of candle wax and string. They would also have dynamic lights like the awesome lanterns and the torches.
why though...? they'd be exactly like the torches except with a different recipe..

the only way the unlit torches could give off light is if you installed dynamic lights (or some other lighting mod) but didn't follow the instructions i wrote in the op... and the pcl has nothing to do with the timers.......
I can't light my lantern either. In creative it works but not in survival. I have a tinderbox and flintsteel with a fully fueled lantern and when I try to right click nothing happens.

try checking your config file. check "Igniters-Lantern" and see if flint and steel's id (259) is there. if it's not, add it in. if it still doesn't work, try downloading or redownloading the latest version of the mod. if it still doesn't work, i'll need a bit more details about the lantern. is it newly crafted, refueled, etc?
I tried what you said and it still doesn't work. It was newly crafted but I also tested with a creative spawned one, which still didn't work. It was fully fueled and I had flint and steel, tinderbox and firesteel, and lava in my inv and I still can't light it.

pm me the forgemodloader-client-0.txt file (make sure it's fresh by playing for a bit first) and your config file. also, were you playing on smp or ssp?
To make the candles different the light they emit would be weaker and they would last a shorter time.
I've thought of a crafting recipe for them as well.
1 lantern oil can be crafted to 2 wax. 1 wax and a string would make 4 candles.
So, my idea is that the candles will be easier to get but they won't be as good as torches.

I like that mod, but i think you should add to config the choice to activate dynamic lights while you carry a torch or a lantern. Or maybe let the player to change the update rate because your mod reduces a lot frame rates.

I have a simple question! Is it possible to disable the unlit torch part of this mod and only use the lanterns? I used to use the Lanterns mod from HyperNerd, but its inability to be placed anywhere except for on unsightly wall hooks was, in my opinion, a pain in the posterior. Your lanterns both look worlds better and can be placed in more locations, hurrah for street lamps!

you mean the green bars in the inventory? you can't. it's what this mod does.... if you mean the numbers on the torches, press f3.
