Why don't I have the other planets? I have installed all the successful Dev builds and the #69 download, but I can't seem to find any other planets, all I have is overworld and Moon. Any help? Thanks
here is a suggestion, which you may or may not have been spammed with.
Mass drivers- using a multiblock structure to launch packages into space, targeted at a selected planet and coordinates to parachute the package down at the selected point. this allows for quick interplanetary item transport. it will take medium amounts of electricity to power.
MAC stations - a very similar thing to the Halo version. a large floating structure high in a planet, which can launch large slugs at other planets. will require a TON of power, i'd say around 10 MJ or more(the smaller cousin, the rail gun, requires 3 MJ). planet and coordinates can be selected, and it will cause a large explosion at the selected point. it should be much more expensive than the mass driver, due to its offensive capabilities. this allows people to attack interplanetary bases at a high cost. it will also take a long time to fire after receiving the signal to fire.

What do you think?
Sounds really fancy and high tech, and very do-able. Also very endgame. It'll come up in discussion for plans for the future, but not soon. I would envision similar arrays sending materials between solar systems or even sectors of space. As of right now, we don't even have any definite plans for stuff outside the asteroid belt. Bring this up again in version like 3.0 and then I think it'll fit.

yup, but i don't think i will remember
i like the ability to use something like a laser designator, and bring down a tempest of destruction on an enemy. i also love electro magnetism, and this is just perfect! i really hope this attracts the attention of the mod writer
Yep, but it is a pretty cool story. What was the mod's name?
It's called Galaxycraft. It's in thw WIP thread. What's really funny is that quite a few people have mentioned the similarities, and some people say they think it's a copy.
The mod isn't under development anymore, but it's still odd that people are saying that.
Can someone provide me the crafting recipes? The pictures on the main page seem broken, and I cannot find them on the internet. The only ones I found are the old ones. Also, I can not find Titanium on the over world! I am going down below layer 30 but to no avail.I am only finding tin and copper.

Titanium isn't in the mod anymore (I'm pretty sure). With regard to the recipes, try following the link on the new site to the old one, the recipes on the old site are up to date. You could also use NEI, Craftguide, or Recipe book.

Thank you This worked! One more question, how do you acquire steel?

Titanium has been removed for the time being. As for the pictures, I informed Mic of their brokeness an our web guy will be working on it once the wiki is up.

I mean, there are only so many ways to go about space exploration. But definitely not copying, considering those planets were based on fiction, and these are attempting to be exciting versions of real planets. Also might look to a couple ideas you had there, but not outright copying, only inspiration.

That's fine. The planets of Galaxycraft are completely fictional. Not based on real planets whatsoever.
I'm actually gonna restart the mod with new people. I've been working a few hours on some graphics for the topic. Once it's complete I'm going to link it to the banner in my signature.
I have a probleme, I can't download it, when i'am in adfoc.us, i go to "skip" but nothing load, i'have try with lots of versions but nothing
Can you help me please ?
Sorry for my english, I'm french
Jenkins was down, should be functioning properly now.
Hey micdoodle. I have seen your mod and it is AWESOME! I saw this mod called the familiars mod, and I was wondering if you could make me some models so I can make a galacticcraft familiars pack. When I finish it, I will send the familiars mod, its requirements, and the galacticcraft add-on. Thank you!
Seriously, read before you comment. They had the beta build, which contains everything that's been done, including that which isn't ready for release. The moon is not finished, and Mars therefore only has one feature, and it's barely been started.

I'm taking over the model work for GC so Mic can focus on coding and getting stuff out more often. And at the moment, I'm a little up to my ears in work. Once we get a little more established and have the main stuff down, I'll be glad to help you out.

It's K by default, but can be changed in the controls.
