In video games, you get rekt. In Jurassic Park, you get Tyrannosaurus Rekt.

This type of thing is difficult to troubleshoot without a lot more info.
Q1) Is Galacticraft installed alone stuttery on your machine, or only when Galacticraft is run alongside "dozens of other mods"
Q2) Please specify OS, Java version, JVM parameters, full details of your mods. 32 bit or 64 bit Java? Single player or on a server? Server on same machine, LAN or online?
Q3) My best guess is this could be a memory issue. Galacticraft is a large mod, so it needs around 50-100MB of memory. If your other mods are already using up 80%+ of the available Java memory, then adding Galacticraft could take it up to 90%+. This means the Java "garbage collector" has to do a lot more work. When the Java garbage collector is working, it can make for stutters.

Please post your fml-client-latest.log somewhere for me to look at. Another mod has registered entity 155, but not done it in the correct way. I'm not sure which mod, maybe look at Orespawn first. If your modpack is available as a zip file to download, please also give a link to that so we can test with the exact same mods and configs.
It keeps crashing with my mod pack because of conflicting item IDs. How do I change them in the Config file?
If you provide a copy of the crash report, and details of which exact version of Galacticraft you are using, someone might actually be able to help you.
hey micdoodle8 I was wondering if you wouldn't mind possibly adding a excellent idea for the next version of galacticraft which will be a custom Spaceship builder which would be great I can only guess that a few of the people who love this mod are huge Star Trek, Star Gate, Star Wars, or general space/sci fi fans who would just love to have that idea of creating your own space ship added into galacticraft 4 I know I would. I you have a long and hard time with adding a custom space ship builder added into minecraft I pretty sure the Creator of Warp Drive or Archimedes ship mod will help you out. also ad in like a anti-gravity modular system which can be turned on or off via player or redstone signal. I see it as a wonderful idea. I can only do is ask for a few great ideas if not then bummer.

I've been dealing with a really annoying problem and thank god I back up my saves!
I'm working in the space station dimension and can make as many edits as I want, save the game and close it without any problems. When i log back into Minecraft, I return to the same space station i saw when I left it. I do my work in creative mode.
However, the same can't be said for when I make edits in creative and switch my game mode to survival to fall to Earth. Once on Earth, i switch back to creative, setup my launch pad and launch a rocket back to the space station. When I see it, it looks like it did 5 days ago, losing hours and hours of work!
I can only fix the problem when I delete the level.dat file for the dimension and replace it with a backed up copy.
So question is, how can I fix the problem properly by launching to my CURRENT pace station rather than my ancient one?
@mcfilmmakers AFAIK this is not an issue which has ever been reported before so it does not seem too likely that Galacticraft is the cause - certainly it is not designed to work in the way you describe. I can't think of any way Galacticraft could even access your "ancient" space station. Minecraft only keeps one copy of a world's block data (region files) and that is the current one. There is no historic block data in level.dat.
Some questions which may help throw light on this:
1. Which other mods do you have installed?
2. Are you playing on a server - if so and if it's a Cauldron server please also list the plugins.
3. Please give any information at all relevant to your world save settings - for example is something set to autosave at intervals, can you see world saves in your logs?
4. Switch on Galacticraft debug logging (setting is in core.conf) and post up from your log a full section covering the time between when you go to the Space Station and when you go back to the Overworld - if you have debug logging switched on, it should be obvious what I mean here.
As with any other significant support issue, the best place to get more in-depth help is really at the official forum - link in my sig. That is where the experienced players hang out, not here at MCF. I strongly suggest you should register and post your issue there, with any follow up in response to my questions 1-4. It also means you get your own thread for your issue instead of being mixed in with random questions from other players...

No uses yet, some uses are coming soon. Currently the Communications Dish is obtainable only in Creative Mode. You can use it to decorate your Overworld space center, we think it looks great. The way it moves is a "placeholder", in future when it is fully functional its movement will be smoother.
