2 weeks ago with Galacticraft-1.6.2-a0.1.40.704 (which used Basic Compnents) you could craft all the machines in survival w/o cheating-all the materials are obtainable.
Now with Galacticraft-1.6.2-2.0.0.752 the machine recipies use Compressed Plates/Wafers.
On a new survival world (starting with nothing) you can craft the Circuit Fabricator no problem.
But to craft anything that makes power to run the Circuit Fabricator, you need Wafers.
But you can't craft Wafers without power.
So how do you get started? Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't power the Circuit Fabricator to make Wafers so I can craft a Compressor to make Compressed Plates to craft all the other machines.

that Galacticraft-1.6.2-2.0.0.758 adds "3. Add bronze and steel ingot recipes to the compressor."
which are from Basic Components.
but from #737 "3. Remove Basic Components items." and "10. Remove BC assets."
When I look at all the recipies in #752 or #758 usnig NEI, there's no Basic Components/Basic Component recipies.
Should the Basic Components still be available in Galacticraft 2? The Mods list fro the main menu in my MC 1.6.2 shows them as active. And the BasicComponents.conf file has everything set to true. And the Galacticraft core.conf shows:

Nice on the quick releases, though bronze and steel still won't compress here on 758,759 or 762. Not sure if that's just me or what since no one else seems to be mentioning anything with it (apparently people made mentions on the other forum).
On another note, the 2. Improve BC energy calculation, anyone know if that mean the wires'll carry mj or the panels'll make mj or something?
edit: Apparently the steel's compressed iron and coal, on CraftGuide so some stuff don't show up, though still no clue why can't just compress steel into it.

I can't get the 1.6.4 version of the micdoodle core dude, when will it be released?
And if it is out, then why do I get a 1.6.2 version of micdoodle core and a 1.6.3 version of galacticraft planets when I click the download links for 1.6.4?
1 - First, I can't find how to block ore generation... I went trough the config :/
2 - Line B:"Generate other mod's features on Moon"=false doesn't work, Thaumcraft 4 Aura Nodes still show up and so do Minegicka II altars...
3 - Ingot Compressor NEI recipes are missing starting ingredients (Not all, but a lot - try Compressed Steel)
4 - Coal Generator outputs power to the left... I played with UE back in Voltz and it was back, quite bad for hiding wires. Ok, I know why is this xD
5 - Coal Generator not accepting Coal Coke (Railcraft) or Block of Coal (Vanilla)
6 - There is no Basic Components mod in my mods folder. Installing it does nothing and generates blank config.
7 - Ores generated are not accepted by Tinkers' Construct, Ender IO SAG Mill, etc (so I guess they are not in Ore Dict?) but they will smelt in Alloy Smelter which is strange....
And I just started, so is there anyone that can clear some of those for me? Does micdoodle read this? Bug reporting link on site is broken for me... Thanks 0/
777's a sizable improvement in server tick, about 2x improvement on average. Dual steel also works for compressed steel now, as for the rest, no clue without further playing but the oil lag fix is pretty well appreciated, thanks.
Hi, i've been using your mod, but i have a problem with it. I can find all the minerals and stuff but i can't find a way to power up my machines, don't have any energy or a way to put fuel in the diferent machines.
My wishes have been granted! I can disable oregen Thx Micdoodle Now onto the next one, configurable solar panel output xD I would rly like to get advanced ones on par with Ender IO Photovoltaic Cells, yours look so cool I would need to bump them to 1MJ/t BC power, which is 2x from what they are now iirc...
EnderIO cells generate power at night though, and probably while raining as well. At any rate it's not good to homogenize everything, it makes life infinitely less interesting.

I think you misunderstood me, Ender IO Cells are 2x better atm + all you said. I wish to bring GC ones on par so that I can get cooler looking ones (much larger tho) without losing on much power. For coolness, size is a price to pay
If you've got forestry you can hook up the panels to electrical engines, each one will run quite a bit of them generating 2MJ/t per engine. On the downside, you'll need a bit more spacing for the panels which already take a bit, the aluminum wires to the engines, plus whatever wiring you're going to use out. On the plus side you can make nice looking reactor rooms (was a lot nicer before the capacitors). At any rate, the panels have far more output with forestry alongside than photovoltaic cells, just not in the rain, or night.

Thanks for the tip, I had no idea Electrical engines work with UE... Off topic, that thing can actually fly with no problems? 0.o I Might have underestimated Balkon...
It's just a platform mainly for drilling oil, with the panels, the converters, 4 tanks, and some storage in case I feel the need to quarry. Wouldn't say no problems, but no major ones.
-The panels may need to be taken down and placed back up after you land, don't think they produce power after they recompile, or when the server restarts it'll fix itself too.
-BC Facades don't rotate properly, won't affect operation though also won't matter if you use EnderIO
-Need to dismantle and replace a single capacitor block in the set for the whole thing to register, server restart will probably do that for you too, probably some other way for it to toggle grouping as well.
Other than that, fuel doesn't disappear which is the main thing, capacitors also retain their charge, nothing that can't be fixed in a minute or less. The main base however requires bit more care, some mods can crash Archimedes, but that's not really for here.
Loving the airlock btw, just no clue how to make a toggle for both sides, probably some sort of complex Redstone logic gates.
edit: nvm, took 2 min to figure out once you start looking, but still more room than I can afford
i have a few small requests:
1. allow railcraft plates to be used for crafting. (or use the ore dictionary if you haven't)
2. add a config option for a meteor spawn multiplier. basically if you set it to 2.0, twice as many spawn, you set it to 0.5, 1/2 as many spawn.
3. add seal-able ME cables.
