Just wondering if it's normal to have an absurd amount of lag if you have way too many bottled entities in your inventory. Looks like anything above 9 of them gets really laggy here, but only for me and my player.
The server is running on a normal computer that isn't anything too special, and I tend to get a bit of lag every now and then as well because my internet connection isn't too great. It's just a server for a few friends.
Hey guys. I finally figured out what to infuse the crafting table on to, but my upgrade tome did not go to Tier 4. I've used: Force Nuggets, Claws, Sugar, Force Logs, Lapis, Fortunes, Force Pack Upgrades, Flint, Exp Bottles, Glass Powder, Cobwebs, Arrows, Spider Eyes, and finally the Crafting Table, but I'm still on Tier 3 with nothing else to infuse. Any help?
I wanted to make a suggestion for an upgrade for Force Flasks. I figure since Ender is a tier six upgrade, this isn't too OP.
I'm, of course, suggesting Sender Flasks. At the cost of a lot of magic power, the Sender Flask will send the bottled entity to a preset location, much like the Rod of Return will if you use it.
It could be useful for late game animal transport if you so happen to want to capture an entire biome's worth of walking bacon factories (I know I do!) without needing a large quantity of flasks. Of course, the downside is that Sender Flasks can't actually contain an entity, and therefore, you cannot make Baconators, Mob Chunks, or Soul Wafers with them. I would also think since that one of the most useful functionalities of a Force Flask is bottling entities for making chunks, that the ability to capture hostile entities should be disabled for Sender Flasks (Although, if they're not, I can see Sender Flasks being a fun way to send some particularly fun and patented "Huggable Green Care Packages™" to your unsuspecting, and grateful friends.)
I seem to be having an odd problem. My Force Engine has simply stopped producing power, it continues to pump when a redstone signal is applied however it doesn't output any MJs or use up any of the Liquid Force, even when broken and replace (I've also tried multiple throttles). It's tab just says it's not outputting MJs and it's not filling the battery it's attached to......
Edit: It's now outputting power, but it still says that it's got neither throttle or MJ output....
I'm not able to progress past Tier 3 on my upgrade tome. I already unlocked all the upgrades in Tier 3 but it won't show the silhouettes of the next tier or allow me to use next tier upgrades. I'm using Dartcraft Beta 0.2.13 on Resonant Rise modpack. Any and all help is appreciated, thanks!
Wow guys, that's a lot of stuff to get to! Truth be told I've been taking a bit of a break from Minecraft for sanity's sake and I haven't worked on DartCraft in about two weeks. Anyway I'm getting to work right now to remove some bugs I think I can fix and add some serious config options. Hopefully I'll have Beta 14 released in a day or two, stay tuned.
So it's apparent there's no longer a place for Refined Iron in minecraft; because of this I am simply going to remove all references to Refined Iron in DartCraft, which of course also means no additional recipe for Iron Fences (honestly I just forgot to remove it earlier.) Whether or not I add some sort of replacement is still up in the air.
The new spoils mechanic is apparently not configurable enough, so look forward to several more options in regards to that.
Some of the descriptions in the Book of Mudora are probably not too useful. This is not on purpose, however it is caused by the fact that I have written them myself and I may have unintentionally assumed certain knowledge of DartCraft. If any specific changes are desired please feel free to post them in a polite manner.
Also in the spirit of cooperation I'll add an option to disable the Force Hammer, mostly for users of GregTech that want that extra "challenge." I should point out that I do not actively use or test DartCraft with GregTech, so any changes made by GregTech to Minecraft as a whole could possibly have negative effects on DartCraft and even "Minecraft as a whole."
darknat76 and jcmatese both seem to be having entity issues. Change the EntityIDs of DartCraft entities to appropriate values (I do not know what these are) and these issues should no longer persist.
CNCRaymond - I need a crashlog or I can't do anything about it.
frostthejack - Thank you for your error report. I believe I have found the issue and I hope it will no longer plague you.
KenLong - That's not a duplication glitch, it's just an inventory syncing glitch that has popped up in vanilla minecraft as of 1.6.4. Try to move the item that was left in your inventory and it will turn into whatever it actually is avoiding a crash. I'm not sure how to overcome this, but I've spent time on it and come up with nothing.
Just my opinion: I really really enjoyed Dartcraft on 1.5.2, why you may ask? It was easy to get into if you didn't have alot of force gems. Now, you need a full double chest or so it seems to even begin. I loved force armor! I just don't like the fact that every piece or armor, tools , anything isn't worth it unless you have the liquid force in the armor in tools. I'm just not a big fan of the whole " use liquid force for everything or it's a waste" type thing. The only thing I really seem to like is the whole infusing thing. It's basically the same thing as 1.5.2 except some tip addons. that, i don't mind.
Well, that didn't take long. Beta 0.2.14 has been released. A few bugs have been fixed and a bunch of config options have been added. Notably Refined Iron is no longer used or referenced in DartCraft and in its place Dart Iron has been added. For full details see the changelog. As for new features none are planned for the near future, but at some point I've got a list of them to get through.

Any plans to put Dart Iron into a Carpenter recipe for Force Ingots?
Also, now that TE's Energy Cell doesn't store BC power anymore, would you consider adding something with similar functionality to DartCraft?

TE's conduits can still output MJ if attached to an MJ-eating machine, y'know.

Also Ender IO has MJ storage. A great mod with many cool features. Multiblock MJ storage being a big one.
It would appear that with Biomes o' Plenty, creeper tots and ender tots don't seem to like spawning in said biomes. Neither do the chu chus. Damn. I like those guys...
We are using the "/enderchest" command on our server, short-cutted to "/ec". If said short-cut command is used, or any other command ending in "c", and have a clipboard in your inventory, it opens your clipboard instead of calling that command to open our vanilla enderchest gui. It may not be a huge bug, it is just more of an annoyance, as I would like to keep my clipboard on the "c" key binding.
I can post the errors if you want,, but I used the DartCraft Beta 0.2.14 version and everytime I start a server/client to test the build I get an error. Even if this is the only mod. It only runs with NEI installed, which is an issue as one of my other mods (not sure which yet) seems to be bugging the crap outta NEI.
Any thoughts? Is this a thing others have noted? I don't know what I did for this to happen. New server + DartCraft Beta 0.2.14.jar = crash report.
Writing from phone for opinion, may post crash l8r, will have to reproduce again.
Also, now that I think of it, have you thought of putting a 'primer' book in on player's first spawn like Tinker's does. I like your use of the Thauminomicon style (not saying they invented it, just referencing) but there's now way to know where to start without checking the forum or a wiki. Which is the same as Thaumcraft come to think of it. I got that book from tinker's and did not have to refer to the site/wiki at all until we thought we had a bug a week later.
Anyway, yeah. Primer books. Just to tell you the 2 or 3 things you should know. Like "make the rod and bookshelf" and "here's how you fill the empty rod". Maybe it contains a story about how you found this useless ore but suddenly you had an idea to put it on a stick. I don't know. I don't write much for good reason. Something that doesn't just say "Build this, then build that, then build 4 of those."
I like this mod and most of the items are agreeable, though the furnaces are a bit shiny to me, but I gotta say, I can't stand this ore. I'm not as much against the yellow as the fact that it has bright grey breaking lines and they go over the shiny parts which seem awfully bright in color. I hated that about xycraft ores myself. I've seen a few people (randomite, though not the most subtle example) manage to use the texture from nearby stone under there ore texture somehow.
It seems that if DartCraft is installed with any other mod that allows survival mode flying (Morph, etc.), it makes you fall immediately after you start flying, as if you've run out of magic while using a Wing upgrade. Just a small bug.

What version are you using because that doesnt happen with me when i use morph and the latest dartcraft.
The wing upgrade doesn't seem to mesh well with IC2-style jetpacks. When you fly with those, it drains the magic meter. Also, when you hit a block above you or hit the space bar twice more, you can no longer move upwards until you've hit the ground at least once. It's annoying as hell and I was wondering if there was any way to fix it.
I'm not sure of the best way to describe this, but I can get the crafting cards to fight and kill the entire process. Here's what you do:
1) Make a crafting card with the CRAFT modifier. Teach it to craft four underground biomes cobble into four vanilla cobble (I'm playing with Resonant Rise pack, with the Underground Biomes cobble).
2) Make a crafting card with the FORGE modifier. Put the same underground biomes cobble into its list of items.
3) Place both inside of a force pack, slots 1 and 2
4) Drop some of the cobble on the ground using the q key. (dropping it via other methods didn't work as well). Then run over it and both cards will fight and the singleplayer instance will die, the multiplayer server as well.
5) If this doesn't lock the game up, try switching around the order of the cards in the pack.
This is the crash I get from a MCPC+ server. Singleplayer locks up too hard to get a crash stack.
I suspect (somehow) each card update was running on a different thread? Is that possible?
As-is, if you do this you can crash any server that is running Dartcraft 0.2.14 by doing this on a character. I don't think the fact that it's using blocks from Underground Biomes is important, but I included that fact for completeness. I was only able to recover from this error by changing the ID number of the "Member Card" to something else so that when the server came back online, the resupply trigger wasn't hit.
