Attention: in 1.6.2 version 5.0 of the mod there is a portion of code I mistakenly left out when updating which causes you to be able to obtain an unlimited amount of bottles of exp. Please download version 5.2 to fix this.
Tired of dying and losing all of your experience? This mod is for you!
Bottles of experience or BOE for short will let you store your precious levels in bottles for later use when you want to attempt to get silk touch on that diamond pick.
With the newest update you can now change the amount of levels you want to be stored in your bottle! This mod can not be abused like some other exp mods. This mod takes your actual experience and places it in the bottle rather than your levels.
So if you want your bottle to have 10 levels then it will hold the amount of exp required from 1-10, if you want it to hold 100 it will hold the amount of exp needed from 1-100.
You can change the amount of levels you want it to hold in the configuration file.

Known Bugs:
Upon taking an insulated bottle out while Extraction is in progress will make the extractor stay 'active'
This mod works great. One thing though- it gives less exp levels if you drink it when your levels are already up. I counteracted that by enchanting items in stages instead of drinking several bottles at once. So my experience levels stayed below 10 or 20.
I recommend Enchanting Plus to anyone using this mod because you can disenchant as well as enchant.

Yes it doesn't give you levels it gives you exp. If it gave you levels it would be unbalanced. 1-10 =170 exp 20-30=484 exp
Sill a great mod, but I think the recipe is expensive for most people. I ended up going into creative to stock up on bottles. Also it's disppointing that it gives you back a glass bottle instead of a bottle of empty. I also think it would be cool if the bottle of empty looked slightly different than a standard bottle. Maybe the glass could be the same color as experience? Kind of a green glow.
Just some suggestions because I like the mod and don't know why it hasn't had any new posts.

Thank you for posting I will take your suggestions into account on the next update!
This is a very nice mod however I feel it is a bit too expensive to utilize until much later in the game where the need for storing XP is much less needed as one can have various ways of quickly building xp. Perhaps you could change (or allow via config) the recipe to better suit the early game when xp is most likely to build up?
edit: having the mod return empty normal bottles mean a constant source of slime balls and lapis, which again would be later stages in the game. I would suggest simply using plain old bottles and perhaps changing the extractor to use 2 gold ingots, 1 pearl, 1 diamond and perhaps 1 obsidian with an iron ingot. Still relatively expensive but much more manageable. If you would rather use a custom bottle perhaps make it return said bottle vs a normal.

It doesn't return an insulted bottled upon use? I thought i fixed that in the last update.
This mod is great, thank you for making this, It is useful early game to store exp when you cant use it, and late game its very useful because I am using the enchanting plus mod, that allows me to choose my enchantments, and I can do enchants which cost 80+ levels, it takes a very long time to get to lvl 80, and if you die on that high level, you lose massive exp, with this great mod the exp is safe.
I also use it to give exp to other players, this is realy great.
And if you have alot of digging to do or something like that, I use cheap enchantments on pickaxes, but if your high lvl, 5 levels is stil expensive, with this mod you can always use the first cheap levels for enchantments, instead of the higher levels.
also, does anyone have a texture pack for this? 64px+ If not, il probably make one quick, not many items anyway
