Could I get some help? I have optifine installed and I am trying to use this mob with optifine by going into the config file but there is nothing to turn to true. There are a lot of confusing symbols and such and I read through and eventually found text that reads, "Turn this to true if you have Optifine installed." Then there are just a bunch of confusing symbols after that. If someone could help me with this it would be greatly appreciated. I REALLY LIKE THIS MOD!
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR OPTIFINE USERS:OptiFine seems to cause an unusual rendering bug that causes items to render in a slightly higher position, so to fix this, there is an option in the config file to enable a fix for OptiFine so items render in their proper positions.
I'm not sure if I'm looking at the right config file or not but I found a config.class in the zip file, and I don't understand how I'm supposed to change it so I can fix it. I'm not sure how else to explain it so I'll just do a screen capture.
Is there another place where this specific config file is or is this the one? If it's the right file how do I edit it?
You should program it so that the color of book that is placed corresponds to the first letter of the book title.
example:
Book Name: A Hidden Story.
Book Color: Red
and the colors could go in order with the Alphabet sort of like a rainbow.
Also you could make it so that enchanted books have a darker/lighter line across the spine and Written books are just solid colors across the spine, or something like that.
I can elaborate more If you don't understand what I'm saying.
The Bibliocraft config file is in the .minecraft/config folder, and you can edit it with word pad. Make sure to save after editing and always make backups of stuff you are changing. Thanks everyone!
I don't see a search option, and it's 4am, so I apologize if this has been asked. I run a heavily modded server (Based off of the Direwolf20 pack from FTB), and want to know if adding this mod to the server would make us restart our map. I noticed I had issues loading up previous maps in single player after adding this mod. Thanks for any and all help :3

When the sun goes to sleep, something else will awaken.
Love this mod, it's so easy to display all my items and armour - I would love to see this implemented in Vanilla if there was ever the chance.
If I might ask, would it be possible to make shift+clicking a 'book and quill' that's open on one of the desks actually bring up the text input screen? It would be cool to be able to go up to a desk and start writing in the open book.
i have some issues with flintcraft tools and armor on the tool rack and armor stand. only the pickaxes from the mod will go on the tool rack
You should be able to open the BiblioCraft.cfg file located in your .minecraft/config folder with wordpad or notepad++ and add keywords to the tool rack section to add more items.

No doubt this would be pretty cool and pretty doable, but that would also mean that if each book were to have 26 colors coordinated with the alphabet I would need basically 26 texture sheets with all 16 books, that is 416 book textures. if enchanted books have their own look than there is at least 1 more texture sheet with 16 books, plus there is all the mod books. There is a better way to do it of course, but I would have to rewrite a lot of render code plus add a lot of new render code to go through all the checks. The workload from creating tons of textures aside, I think there is a potential to cause render lag with this idea. I do like the idea, but will mostly likely stick with the old mantra: KISS.
Great mod! Love it. Always wanted to make an real library with actual desks and stuff like that. Keep up the great work mate!
Only bad thing is that my Divine RPG armor doesn't show up on the armor stands :/
Some of the armor should work (The newer armors I think, which is between 1/2 and 1/3 of the armor). I plan to support all of divine RPG armor in a future update.

Nope, there should be no issue with loading this mod into an SMP or SP world that have already been started. There is no world gen or anything added that would effect any worlds. In fact in the the SMP world I play most, we loaded BiblioCraft into a 4 month old world with no problems.

That was actually the original plan, but I couldn't get it to work so I figured grabbing the book without a GUI was the next best thing.
NightKev no all mods are not multiplayer since 1.3.
BiblioCraft is SMP as well as most post 1.3 forge mods. SMP almost works with zero effort unless you need to send a packet, which is easy enough. It's my experience now that all post 1.3 mods are SMP unless otherwise stated.
Is there a way to define what is a book in the config? I ask because I would like to use this with Mystcraft and Ars Magica.
Yes there is, there is a section for books in your .minecraft/config/BiblioCraft.cfg file. Though Mystcraft and Ars Magica should work out of the box with no extra config stuff. Mystcraft is one of the reasons I started this mod. All those books and no bookcases, I just had to fix that.
A question... If I use a texture pack... the wood and wool things will look like my pack?
Nope, not at this time. I may mess with this after 1.5 and the change in the way textures are handled, but I am not sure I can get it looking real nice. If I can get it 1/2 decent, I'll most likely make it a config option so you can use either the main set of textures or texture pack textures. The included textures would be default. It does depend though on how it looks. So, time will tell.
Captain Sparklez showcased your mod and our server unanimously agreed we had to have it! Thank you for curing the pains of our OCD. Our workshops, storage sheds, and Grand Library will now be complete! Thank you for this!!!
the only config file that i can find is config.class.

I got it right after I posted this. I was trying to edit the wrong one. Great mod <3

Will this be available for multiplayer at some point?
So awesome!, Thanks for letting me know.

I was thinking about doing this in a future version, so this may just happen.

Awesome work!, Looks great! I'll get a link to these added to the OP soon.
