Well, I've been on this site a couple of times to get mods, but this is the first one that made me want to create an account in order to thank the creator, and talk a little about it.
So, Thank you WillDaBeast509, this a fantastic mod. With having gunpowder, but no guns, I have wanted firearms in Minecraft for a long time and unlike many other mods, this one fits the ethos of the game.
While I love this mod, I do have a few nitpicks about it.
1. Holding the guns. In the inventory screen you hold it like it's a cookie!
2. I feel the revolver is a tad overpowered. It only needs an extra iron ingot to craft it over the double-barrel flintlock, while providing three times the ammo capacity. Leaving me with the question; "Why would I use a different gun?"
A way I feel this could be remedied is by needing a piece of paper in the construction of loading a shot like with the hand cannon, to make a paper cartridge.
3. The pistol isn't a flintlock weapon graah nash complain complain! (I guess it could be a percussion cap revolver)
Like I said, these are all minor issues I personally have with a fantastic mod, and I look forward to what you have instore next.

1. Already is fixed, will go out in the big update I have planned. I noticed it too while.I was playing, and that's definitely not how you hold a gun!
2. Is also being addressed in multiple ways. I like your thought about using the paper.
3. Well, zombies don't really come out at night, so we can bend history a little bit in Minecraft this mod is also going to be more later-era flintlock guns, up to early 18th century.
So, this is the first time I've had a mod during an update. (1.5)
I've installed the update and updated modloader, but when I have this mod in my mod folder, minecraft pops up with a message saying somehing wrong. Do I need to wait for an update from this mod here? Or am I doing somethig wrong?

I do not know yet if modloader or Minecraft has changed enough to affect the compatibility of the mod, I will test it tonight. Unfortunately that will have to be the first priority over working on new features. We'll see how it goes.
Holy creeper, this update sucks. Much code has been changed with both Minecraft and ModLoader, but I'm doing my best to figure it all out. I've never had to update a mod to a newer version of Minecraft (this is the first mod I ever created, and it was written first for 1.4.7), and it freaking sucks. Sorry for those who want to play on 1.5, please be patient. At least you have new redstone toys to play with
Due to the minecraft update, how long roughly will the mod update be, if you have any idea?
P.S. How about featuring 2-3 diamond in the revolver crafting recipe, like minegunner? I found that it balanced it perfectly!
A 1.5 compatible update will probably be up tonight, along with some features that were finished but planned to go out in my big update.
As for the revolver, crafting is now more balanced as of the update coming tonight, and a system is in place to utilize valuable ores and gems in your guns in the big update. That's all I'll say about that now.

Has something happened to the Sulfar Ore blocks? I've just started a new game with the mod and have been playing for 3 hours, but I haven't seen a single one. Do they now only spawn at a certain depth? Or has something gone wrong?

Hmm. It shouldn't have, but its possible. It should be quite common, and I didn't change any of the probabilities or anything for its spawning. I'll look into it though and see what's going wrong. Until then, you'd better start killing some creepers
I've started another new map, still couldn't find any ore. In an older saved game I *think* I've found a stack of sulfur in a chest, but it's bugged out.

I had to change the ID of sulfur because it was taken by the new redstone comparator. That's probably what messed it up; I'll check that out too.

EDIT: Okay, I see the bug now after watching the video.
I have an idea for the stone pistol. How about it is loaded with coal/charcoal rather than gunpowder? Because gunpowder is a little hard to get so early in the game, and to be honest, I haven't found ANY sulphur ore yet. Then again, I haven't mined much recently.
I like that idea, I'll look into it. Also, there seems to be a bug with the sulfur ore generating. I'm looking for a solution, but it seems alot of other modders are having the same problem.
