If I had to guess, it may be conflicting with another mod on your system. I haven't gotten any other crash complaints. Make sure you're running the correct version of the PML for your version of Minecraft as well. See the original post. I've got versions for 1.4, 1.5, and 1.6.

It has always been 1.6.2 and I never installed a new mod. My problem was a buggy chunk. I force cleaned it then tried to run it with the same mods. I was forced to delete out the region manually. When I tried running the game again...even before it reaches the title screen, the game shuts down. When PML2 is not installed it runs fine. Too bad...I really liked the mod.

Scratch that... It seems Treecapitator recently updated and is the one interfering. Is there any hope of getting them to work together? For now ill just swap them out depending on which I need. THanks man and Great Mod!
My minecraft crashed when i installed this mod i have the latest forge mod loader thing and this was the only mod in my minecraft it used to work but it wont work it just crashes this is the crash report please help me

Any chance this can be updated for 1.6.4? Im looking for something like this so i can mine out a hangar a lil easier since the TNT is reliable on its blast size.

Make the industrial-craft one. Its more portable. and tweak the industrial-craft recipe to be made with vanilla stuff. Like a diamond for the focus of the laser, a button for the trigger, iron and gold for the casing, maybe the handle. Then have it run off of fuel, which would be coal and charcoal, lava, and other burnables.
Not here to tell you what you should do with your mod or anything, just throwing that disclaimer XD.
I noticed you said you never tried this with multiplayer, so I decided to throw my hand at it, and see what I could find as I would love to have something like this on my server. The problem seems to be that on single player, it works perfectly fine. However in multiplayer you cannot craft the item. If you manage to get it into your inventory through Creative mode, then it simply vanishes as soon as you attempt to place it.
Obviously, you're busy, but I wanted to see if this was a possibility to implement into a Multiplayer setting? Especially if it's a simple fix. If not...well then I have no problem using this just for myself *maniacal laughter*

Honestly I haven't even tried yet, but I've seen enough requests float by that I'll give it a shot.
instead of more intensive recources it should take time like 1 block per second when digging out the shaft
that wont make it that op...
I haven't used this mod yet but I really like the idea. I do have a couple of thoughts though just from what I've seen on spotlights.
I tend to like "realism" in minecraft so I do agree with the OP concerns. I personally really like the idea of it taking a specified amount of time to burn through blocks and possibly even take longer on harder materials.
Contrary to what a few have suggested I think the fuel materials are a good choice. It should be a little expensive to dig so easily/quickly.
I do like the idea of a visible beam for aesthetic reasons, but there are VERY powerful lasers that are completely invisible so it still makes sense to me.
And finally, I believe someone said it doesn't hurt mobs. Is that true? If not, I was wondering if it is possible to make it so. Not to be used as a weapon but to simulate a "dangerous working environment" requiring great care to ensure nobody/nothing is standing in front of it (assuming it ends up working for servers).
I think all of these could be adjustable in cofig. options as well. Just my thoughts. Like them or not, just thought I'd share.
I'll see if I can get it 1.7.2 compatible today... also try and figure out how to make it multiplayer compat after the big version jump I wanted to wait for a lull between upgrades.
Can't seem to find a download for Minecraft Forge 1.7.x yet, won't be able to update the mod until it comes out. Not going to invest the time in getting multiplayer to work for the 1.6 series if I'm going to have to redo it for 1.7. Once MF 1.7 comes out I'll get everything current.

Is there any chance you could make a 1.7.2 version please, And one that works in Multiplayer?
If its not too much trouble.
