It couldn't hurt. I only said what I said as a personal opinion - there's always a use for storage blocks as building material if, say, you are using an army of CCTurtles to pillage the landscape. Maybe there could be a recipe in there for "X Reinforced Bricks" that uses ingots with the various stones (yay cross-mod features!) to create new aesthetic options or blast protection. Maybe give the bricks some kind of proximity bonus like health regen or crops growing faster when placed nearby, I 'unno. A config option would be great.

When i cook Mithril and Vendrite i gives me hotdogs and glazed carrots
You have Item ID conflicts. You need to go into the config of my mod or whatever food mod you have and change the Item ID's to something different, I'd suggest a number at least 1000 more/less than the other.
Update will likely come out this Saturday, Been quite busy with work, plus we've got a guest at my house, but good work coming along. What do you guys think of the reinforced blocks?
Oits, have you thought about changing the original textures of the nether ores? They just seem out of place comparatively to the overworld ores...
Edit: I thought I might suggest instead of just using vanilla emeralds, you could just rename the mystic gemstone Agate or Alexandrite. I'd also suggest changing the name of the blue gem to possibly Tourmaline (could also use Agate here, as it's also blue). I suggest this because a lot of big mods also use sapphires, redpower 2 coming to mind, and by using conflicting materials it makes some people conflicted on which mod to use. Compabilitity is your friend. Also I give you kudos for bringing Thaumcraft compatibility.

It certainly could be considered! What would you like to see them resemble? More like a nether-ore? Perhaps with the nice ore design my overworld ores have? Would this be wanted as a config option or quite simply a texture pack patch?
Perhaps the outer edges of the soulstones could look like netherrack with the soul faces still intact (perhaps darker hues of the current colors?) in the middle of it, much like normal ores would look like in the overworld. Bloodstone would be the same as soulstone, just with the blood stone textures in the middle of it. Currently from the screenshots they just don't blend with the world well enough, in my opinion. Also I edited my other post for more content concerning the gems. If possible you could instead with the soulstones have the outer edges look like soulsand and have it spawn only adjacent to soulsand, with bloodstone being the netherrack ore.
I'd like to note I find it creepy that the last three posts were all posted at the 56 minute mark of each hour. ._.
Edit: Didn't realize posting a new post after one you wrote combined the two... I ruined it. xD
I love the suggestions, they are my current plans working on new textures for it all, and will need to figure out how to do the soul sand worldgen, but know it's possible (like mods that spawn sulfur ore next to lava).
Out of curiousity, has this been tested with Buildcraft Mining well's, quarries, Computercraft mining turtles, etc? To see if they'll pick up Mystic ores, etc.

Yes and yes. They take the block and emulate a player breaking it, so it gets whatever a player would get from breaking it.
For future projects with the Mystic mods, you may want to consider mod support for Balkon's Weapon mod, and perhaps even take a look at Jade Knightblazer's Harken Scythe and Asgard Shield mods for items made from Mystic materials. I help Jade with ideas a lot of the time too, as I think his mods will be going somewhere. Considering Mystic mods doesn't add that much in concerns of materials (in comparison to say... metallurgy 2 - they want to add support to balkon's but that's a DAUNTING task considering...).
I'm glad to help this mod too, as it's always been a mod I've wanted to use, but it stopped being updated when I got into modding my Minecraft. I'm really glad you took up the reigns and are very active with it, as other modders weren't as active with it... though I think that's more due to taking up so many other discontinued mods than anything.

Thanks, yeah, as far as Harken Scythe and all those other mods, the upcoming update will let them do whatever they wish with my mod because all my ores/ingots are added into the MinecraftForge ore dictionary, so they will have no problem using my bars/ores/gems in their mod.
Not sure if you are aware but it's possible to get infinite gems from the mystic powders.
It takes one of each gem (4) to make 18 powders, but it only takes 1 powder to make any gem. This lets you make 18 gems from just 4. We just use a 5 powder:1 gem recipe instead and it seems balanced.
This is on a small server with 60+ other mods (mostly tech mods), so it could be related to that maybe?
Oh and I'm also curious about the update, I like the reinforced blocks and await the day I can finally dust/pulverize all these ores that I'm hording.
(And thanks for keeping these mods alive!)
Hrm, well I may make it a config option then

Please do! I'm working on new textures for several things, as well as agate and tourmaline changes (in-code and in-game)
