We have started our own private FTB: Infinity server and are using your FE beta2 release, we have tried your beta4 and 3 but with issues, beta 4 crashes the server entirely and beta 3 will not install modules. with the beta2 release it is stable with our Infinity server except it is removing our ability to use chat url's.... pre FE install they were working, post FE install they do not. we can not seem to find a setting in any of the configs for chat url's or we are just missing it entirely. got any information about that ?
Try and open the jar file with winrar/7zip and open the zipper folder named libraries.zip you see there, open the 'mods' folder and remove/delete the WorldEdit jar file you see there.
Turns out all I had to do was delete the worldedit jar and configs. I expected FE to just reinstall it but I guess it's only installed the first time, when FE configs are written.
Also, I just ran into a problem with the afterlife module in beta 4. The items you loot from a grave don't stack with new items you pick up, including basic vanilla stuff like torches and cobblestone. I'm guessing there's some NBT in the looted items that makes them different?
Edit: dropping all of the items I looted and picking them up again seems to fix it. Not sure whether I should go back to Gravestone + AromaBackup, since those are the only FE features I'm using.
This looks really amazing, but I have a request. Can the command "/getwallet" be replaced with "/balance" please(and all variants thereof)? Also if the player uses said command, it should be possible to get the sender of the command, have it automatically apply for said player. With your player wallet, defining player jobs will not be so difficult. All you need to do is allow there to be a config to set job types, as well as the rewards for said job. I would also appreciate a way for plots to be contained in towns, and towns being inside of nations. There will be a mayor, who is ultimately responsible for the town. Admins will be able to choose a new mayor In order to take advantage of your economy system, towns should be able to issue taxes and charge for plots. I`d like a little something like Towny to be implemented if possible. Thank you for your amazing mod, I am very glad that mod exists.
MyTown2 works well along side of forge essentials for what your asking...still in early stages but does just about everything your talking about(or will soon) link: MyTown2
What adding player jobs into the mix? I can`t just configure every task the player does to provide experience. Can I have the deobf package to add the features I want?
Quick question though. When using the multi world feature, how do i get back to the primary world from a secondary created world?
Thanks!
*edit* Actually, I have a few questions about the multi world feature. Are secondary worlds running even when no one is in them? So if I have a few, will that bog down my server? Also, can I generate a new world from a template? Say I have a world created and set up that is named "Island" and I want a couple different instances of that world created by a command block.
I'm new to minecraft and even newer to server stuff but it's the only way my family can play due to mojangs authentication rules (we don't have full time internet access)... This mod has opened up sooo many doors for us, thanks for the effort you have put into it!
This is exactly what I've been looking for! I'm testing the latest release: 1.4.0-beta5. What modules need a database to work?
Another question: Where can I find the default value for each permission for the three predefined groups?
Yet another question: Do I need a database for the authentication module to work? I ask this because there's something wrong with this module on my experimental server. I'm running a minecraft forge server on my computer to test this mod and some others I want to install on our real server, and the authentication module spams "Login required. Try /auth help.", but it won't let me type anything. Whenever I hit T my chat closes instantly without letting me type.
edit: The issue described above regarding not being able to type because of the Authentication module seems to have been solved with the beta 6 release.
I have a new problem. I can't put a sign in game (just a simple normal sign with the letter 'a' written on it) or it crashes. Here's the crash log:

This mod is simply beautiful. I can't understand why its thread is so dead. Is there another place people have been using to discuss this, like its own forum?
I've started a server and in setting up the groups, I'm finding that I can't give access to the fly command in any of my groups.
For instance, I have a "Member" group and have allowed the fe.commands.capabilities permission node. In the CommandShortcuts.cfg file, everything is set up correctly. However, if I type "/fly true" from the Member group, it says I don't have permission to use that command. Alternatively, if I type, "/capabilities", it allows me to see what commands are available, but won't let me do "/capabilities Digwood allowflying true". It only seems to work if I ALSO provide the Member group with the permissions for fe.commands.capabilities.others.
But, if I let the Member group have BOTH of those, anyone in that group can just drop people out of the sky at will :/
so i cant get prmissions to work on 1.7.10. well i can get it to ether block you from every thing or not that is it. i need some help. i have done permissions before on bukkit so i know how they work but i cant get it to work.
Quick question though. When using the multi world feature, how do i get back to the primary world from a secondary created world?
Thanks!

I need to know how to set zone permissions, like protecting an area from mob griefing. I know it doesn't work by setting a global permission, because mobs are not part of a user group. So how is this done?

How can I disable cross-dimension teleporting in beta5?
Thanks

Wow 27 GB??, you should post as much information as possible, sounds like a very serious issue.
Let operators place schematics with this WorldEdit please.
