I'm going to say that probably wouldn't work. You'd be best to post a question like "How do I configure the compass for a block with different data values for different blocks?" or something on the Finder Compass thread. From what I've seen of the config file though, you would set the damageDropped value to 5 and use the block name TConstruct:SearedBrick as normal.
Ah ok, right, thank you ^.^
-edit- Woohoo it works! Thanks a ton ^.^ Sorry for the attitude earlier ^ _^;
Maybe it was still TiC that added that feature but it's not working with the tools made from the Smeltery (which is what I meant, not forge)
You might have that feature disabled in the config, which you can do but would be odd since I'm pretty sure it's on by default, still wouldn't hurt to check so off you go.
Hey folks, i may have run into a bug for tinkers in 1.7.10
It seems when you add modifiers to a tool in the tool forge it will give you the new "modified Tool" but will not use up the original tool or the item your using as a modifier, its not causing a crash though.
I was checking my mods to see which ones were current, and I noticed mantle-1.7.10-0.3.0.jar has in its mcmod.info that it is for mcversion 1.7.2. Is this just an oversite and the correct one is uploaded without an updated mcmod.info? Or is the 1.7.2 mantle, mislabelled as 1.7.10?
Smelting dusts is part of Ex Aliquo, not Ex Nihilo, though Crowley is considering adding that into his mod since everyone seems to use Tinker's with his mod.

really? how annoying... does it add any worldgen? im assuming no since its a skyblock addon mod.
Also does it work with IC2 dust/crushed ores as well? would be nice ot have a fully 100% automated super refinery linked to a 64x64 quarry, that auto smelts then refines every type or ore, dust, ingot, stone, block, and everything else in the game.
Uhhh, my smeltery isn't working. The steel is in the smeltery, the item casts are in place. I right click the faucet which is secured onto the drain which is secured onto the smeltery- nothing. Mods: Archimedes Ships, Buildcraft, CodeChicken, EnderStorage, Forge Multipart, Iron Chests, JourneyMapper, LiteLoader, This mod and Mantle, WorldEditWrapper, NotEnoughItems, and Redpower-World, -illumination, -base.
Is anyone else getting this graphics glitch with the pattern chest?
Yep.
Tangle, are you sure there's nothing in the Smeltery structure? If you are in a biome where it snows, you might want to cover it.
Also, I got this crash log with the latest 1.7.10 version:

Trying to set up a Forge server -- I'm afraid I'm new to Minecraft modding. Was testing compatibility between Thermal Expansion and Tinker's Construct; tossed a bunch of silver and gold together in a smeltery. As expected, I got the Molten Electrum alloy. However, the Molten Electrum layer did not appear to have any graphic on the Smeltery Controller screen -- the tooltip would display if I hovered over it, but otherwise it was invisible. When I attempted to produce an electrum block in the casting basin, the client crashed. Crashes every time I try to load into the server currently -- I'm guessing it doesn't know how to handle residual electrum in the casting basin.
Here's what was printed on the server, for what it's worth:
And the installed versions:
Forge 1.7.10-10.13.0.1207
TConstruct_mc1.7.10_1.6.0d39
ThermalFoundation-[1.7.10]1.0.0B1-6
ThermalExpansion-[1.7.10]4.0.0B3-11.
I don't really care about the world; would just like to troubleshoot this problem.
Sorry for the general question. Is there any end to the updates in the foreseeable future for 1.7.10? cause I have like 55 mods installed and coming on this site to download every single mod update every week or so is a hassle...

*edit sry i did a qick serch and it has alredy been answerd going to see if i have the latest vesian
Im trying to set up full automation using buildcraft, TiC, industrialcraft, and other tech mods, but when i break down ores into dusts using ex nihilo they wont smelt in the smeltery, also this: http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee63/gubaguy/fubar_zps23c7337d.png
Smelting dusts is part of Ex Aliquo, not Ex Nihilo, though Crowley is considering adding that into his mod since everyone seems to use Tinker's with his mod.
What version are you using? I'm guessing 1.6 just cuz you have item ducts in that picture but it's always good to specify.
Found my fix for this folks, turns out i was using version 1.6.0d31(what a direderp i am) and updating to version 1.6.0d39 fixed the bug.
1.6.4 sorry, and it looks like its becuase i needed another mod i didnt know i needed... kinda annoying
