You could try deleting the entire chunk by using http://dinnerbone.co...ls/coordinates/ and then just deleting the corresponding region file in your .minecraft folder. The coords can be found in your crash log, but if your smeltery was right next to your base, I'd just start over and cheat in everything I lost. Obviously, you should back everything up before hand.
I found out why my world was not appearing in the worlds list, for some reason my level.dat file was missing. I luckly had an old backup that I swiped the level.dat file from (which allowed me to load my world in both minecraft and MCEdit). Then using MCEdit I deleted the seared bricks and minecraft stopped crashing. My position in the world and my personal inventory was changed but nothing of significance was gone (yay!).
I was curious so I did some basic testing, minecraft crashed not because I placed the seared bricks in The End but because I placed them at y=0. I tried this with both the overworld and the nether and the same thing happened but most of the time my level.dat file survived (but not all the time).
Can anyone else comfirm this bug?
Minecraft crashes when a seared brick is placed at y=0 of any dimension (the lowest point a block can be placed)
For completeness the mods I am running are:
Tinkers Construct 1.5.2.4
Thaumcraft 4.0.5c
Thaumic Tinkerer 2.0-47
NotEnoughItems 1.6.1.8
NEIPlugins-1.1.0.6
DamageIndicatorsv2.9.1.6
Item IDs are shifted down by 256 because of Notchcode. Most config files use the unshifted ID. Just add 256 to whatever ID you put into the config To convert it into the range most people use.
First was TConstruct, next was Natura, so.... Perhaps a sequel to InfiBlocks might be coming next? Hmm? Hmm?
Yes, as long as you can update it yourself. ^^;;

Also, I've flipped shovel textures for Tinker's Construct and ExtraTiC for a more realistic-looking animation, check here: http://www.minecraft...hovel-textures/
With all the mod greatness, my oppinion, it is misses the firearms. It couldd be really little more reasoned, to craft crossbows, muskets and blunderbusses, instead of iron bows, and so on... More then that, it could be nice one more little tool station, responcible for ammo crafting...
Yes, there is a balkon weapons mod there, with musket and blunderbuss, and i have it in my head, while writing this all, but as all the weapons from BWM is a hint, pointer to what it comes in TC (compare BWM hammer and TC hammer, as example), so there is firearms theme could be developed further in TC)
Isn't it?
And Merry Cristmass everyone)

I wouldn't object to crossbows, but I feel the rest would ruin the feeling of the mod.
Hey, I've been playing this mod a bit, and I am having one problem with the smeltery. When i wastch the yogscast play, they can throw the object in from the top and whatever goes in is incorperated into the smeltery. However, if I throw stuff into it, it'll just float there until it despawns. On top of that, if a mob falls into their furnace, it takes damage and forms blood. However, in my smeltery, I have dropped villagers, zombies, chickens and pigs into it, and none take damage or form blood. This is a shame, since I wanted to make a Pig Iron frying pan. Anyone know what might be going wrong?

Just updated. It fixed the furnace not killing things, but it's still not picking up the dropped items. Also, I've noticed that when I die, my hunger isn't restored on death.

In my opinion, bows a re ruining feeling of smeltery... well, you know: that feeling of italian renessance, when it was a lot of about smelting, tinkering, crafting, arts, dueling and firearms. Smeltery is too much technical to craft bows with it, if not firearms - it could be some,,, pneumatic potato guns, spring-powered guns, steam dispensers.... Somehow people's fantasies limited by existing stuff, when it comes to RANGED armament)
Too much technical to be assotiated with bows.

What Tinker's Construct version are you on? I know the Yogscast have a slightly outdated Tinker's - the latest version actually works with the forming blood - not sure if the tossing of item still works :/
Fun mod.
The shortbow causes severe FPS drops though.
Holding the showbow in hand cuts my FPS 50%
Drawing the shortbow back cuts my FPS by 80%
Hard to shoot @ 10fps
"To get your metals back into the tank, have a smeltery drain facing backwards. Make the side with the smaller hole face inside this time (in other words: place the Smeltery Drain while you are inside of the smeltery), and hook your pipe or tank to the outside face of the smeltery drain. It will fill the smeltery back up again; no more wasting that half-ingot worth of manyullyn!"
Somehow I'm apparently doing something wrong. I reversed the smeltery drain with the small hole pointing inwards and tried to connect it to the tank with molten metal, and whatever I tried I didn't have it drain back in. I do not have a mod that adds pipes, so can anybody explain to me how I can achieve this with just tinkers materials?
Given the current problems with bows, I'd much rather see ninja stars.
Aaaand if we talking about TINKERING - it is something like spring-powered, shuriken shooting gadget)

Did you put on the faucet? I remember a faucet last time I tried this. . .but I forgot the process again. It's been a little frustrating figuring out. . .
I guess I could live with the tank and drain gymnastics once I remember once and for all how to get it right. . . but I wish basins and tables could be drained back in if you right click on them before the metal hardens. . . which is forever if you didn't have enough metal.
Maybe I just haven't found the correct way to deal with this yet. I wouldn't be the first time that my frustrations were my own fault.
So I'm googlin about, but I still can't seem to find out much about the exo armors. Are they something you find or something you create and how or where?
All I'm finding is people talkin about suggestions for the mod. Also, people asking how you get them, but I never saw an answer.

I've had the problem on multiple occasions that a smeltry was just swallowing my ressources and not giving me any molten metal.
Destroying the smeltry block and placing it again was fixing it, however it happened multiple times again.
And then there's this:
