mDiyo, quick question, with the actual progress with developement, should i be supposed to upgrade to the dev build on an old world or it drastically change something and make creating a new world a necessity?
So far, apart from treasure chest loot, I don't think you'll miss out on anything by upgrading to the dev build.
The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
My friend found that In Dev 60, Shift Clicking Quartz in or out of a tool station when there is also a pickaxe in it crashes.
I don't know why he was trying to put Quartz on a Pickaxe, but he did, and this happened: 2013-06-18 14:01:26 [INFO] [STDERR] net.minecraft.util.ReportedException: Rendering screen

With the 63.2 dev build I was using an ardite tool rod, manyullun hammer head, ardite and cobalt plate hammer. I used it to mine some coke oven bricks and it completely destroyed them, looked like it was dropping filler particles when broken, only the hammer did this a normal pick and TC pick broke it normally.
My apologies for giving these reports so late in the day; I just updated to dev63.2 and got the same NPE as I reported yesterday.
Description: Unexpected error
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
Again, the only thing changed was TC dev57 to dev63.2. The error occurs immediately as I attempt to enter the world.
Okay, so I need some help... I can't for the life of me figure out how to make the blocks for the TConstruct metals (Block Of Cobolt, Block Of Ardite etc.) or any of the new special bricks. I managed to make an Obsidian Brick block by using the chisel on an Obsidian Block, but I noticed that there was a second type of Obsidian Brick that I cant figure out how to make either. Just using the chisel on diamond blocks etc. doesnt seem to work for me, so I don't really know how to do it. I tried using just ingots and ingots with grout and I tried putting the chisel in the crafting window with a block, but none of that worked. I am especially confused by the bricks made of things like slime and bone. Can someone give me some help on how to make stuff like that? I can't seem to find much info online anywhere and the TConstruct wiki is almost completely empty, so it's not of much help... Also, I noticed that we have Silver Oreberries and Silver Nuggets, but no ingots, ores or craftable items, so what's the point of the Silver???
IStoneI: The extra slot has always been there. You've just never noticed it before.
Revemohl: Chisels not working properly is a known bug. It'll be resolved in a day or two.
Durability math works like this:
- Average all the head pieces. Any new material with a cost of 8 is a "head" piece. If there's multiple heads, give it a bonus.
- Average all the handle pieces. Any new material with a cost of 3 is a "handle" piece. If there's multiple handles, give it a bonus.
Apply head and handle modifiers as before.
ObsidianWalker: All builds should be backwards compatible with old saves. If they aren't, I may have broken something unintentionally.
chORANGE: Lack of ore dictionary support, most likely. I'm considering possible solutions to custom crafting tables.
tehdevilwearsprada: NEI has no initialized tools. Make the secret properly. ^^;;
gsgrego: That is unfortunate. I'll investigate why the battleaxe isn't behaving.
FinAndTonic: What kind of modifiers did you have on your tools? I put some restrictions on modifiers some time ago, and it sounds like one of the tools you have isn't loading the icon anymore.
Bouce: You make blocks with the casting basin and the smeltery.
I can't remember which ones I had exactly on my hotbar at the time of the crash, but the following are 90% likely to be there:
Cactus Head, Cobalt Rod Hatchet, modified with a Necrotic Bone and 3 'stacks' of Nether Quartz. This is my main weapon.
Stone Head, Manyullyn Rod Pickaxe, modified with Diamond and 100 Redstone. Speedy tunneler.
Cobalt Head, Paper Rod Hatchet, modified with 3 Mossy and 450 Lapis. Speedy Tree-destroyer.
Restricting certain modifiers from certain tools doesn't seem like a good idea in retrospect. Who am I to say you can't put a ton of lapis on a chisel that can't use it? Or redstone that does nothing on a sword?
FinAndTonic: Try the latest dev version. Things should be working again.
