AS I said, all depends if he's using the 1.5.2 version and/or running FTB Unleashed.
this is for an outdated version that is not supported anymore. the latest versions for 1.5.2 have the nitro creeper in natura and not tinkers and the following is from the latest 1.5.2 version of tinkers which does not have that config option https://github.com/mDiyo/TinkersConstruct/blob/15current/mods/tinker/tconstruct/util/PHConstruct.java
curiously what version is in that pack, and what version pack. The FTB team is aware of the update the other day to the 1.5.2 version.
Am I the only one who saw Natura and TConstruct "talking" to each other in consoles
TConstruct: Natura, what are we going to do tomorrow tonight?
Natura: TConstruct, we're going to take over the world!
Just a little fun thing i found.
This is not possible, as every single combination of material, and modifier would need to be registered with computercraft causing extreme amounts of additional resources needed, not to mention this would be EXTREMELY OP.
This is a literal translation of what I asked and not a rational one. To get around it first you limit the number of types of items that can be used, say only to Pick Axes as a hatchet will work on any tree.
Second, you define the best type of pick axe to be used, so lets say Cobalt as it is hard to find as is diamond.
Third, you define that only cobalt pickaxes and all their parts made of cobalt can be used and not cheaper cobalt heads with wood bindings and halfts, that way you have a single type of axe.
FINALLY, you omit modifications. Tools turtles use right now do not take durability damage so diamonds and emeralds are not necessary. A turtle can only take an action every .5 seconds so red stone is out. Technically a turtle COULD use Smelting, but many people with turtles would use the smeltery so smelting a single ore into a bar is not much use and is out. That leaves Silky and Lucky. I could see both as you have to spend materials on them and would never get the tool back. SO with plain, Silky, and Lucky, that means only three entries needed to add compatibility.
AS FOR OP...OP is relative, the turtle with the many programs out there is already OP. There is a program called Swarm Quarry, with 11 turtles I can clear to bedrock a 60x60 area in under an hour. I think I did it in like 40 minutes. It is not like they can be made any more OP. Simple fact, any tool that lets a user have access to develop and program their own code to do things will be OP by nature.
So... you want a substitute for a diamond pick, which will act in the exact same way as a diamond pick, with the same difficulty of obtaining as a diamond pick?
Found glowstone modifier effects in the textures...interesting. From what I've seen, it only goes on a select few weapons.

Also, I've flipped shovel textures for Tinker's Construct and ExtraTiC for a more realistic-looking animation, check here: http://www.minecraft...hovel-textures/
Hey Don't know if this is a bug or intended but if you use a hammer on a silverfish egg (block) it doesn't brake that block and it brakes the blocks around it but leaves the egg block.
As a note I don't know if you've seen this bug....
i am playing in the stable recommended version for the 1.6.2 and the durability is showing percentages instead of the correct durability...it was changed before to show the correct durability, did you change it back to percentages?
So... you want a substitute for a diamond pick, which will act in the exact same way as a diamond pick, with the same difficulty of obtaining as a diamond pick?

Why not just use a diamond pick then?
Because Diamond Picks, from my current experience, do not mine certain higher quality ores that are in Tinkers Construct. And as it is, the turtle will instead destroy the ore instead of mining it.

For example, if you've got a Turtle mining operation in the Nether (not sure if turtles will make Nether Ores ores blow up, never tested it) and you're trying to mine Cobalt or Ardite, diamond cannot mine either and will destroy them. But if you use steel, alumite, or Manyullyn, it will not be destroyed. Not sure if that really cleared it up.

mDiyo: I was wondering if you could please add compatibility for your base tools (Picks & Hatchets) for ComputerCraft Turtles. I am asking because your tools are in many cases better then the Diamond tools from Minecraft and are needed to mine many of the materials with out destroying them. Please?
I've been wondering about making a compatibility mod for computer craft that will add a slot for tools instead of crafting it into position and making the "turtle.dig()" command take the appropriate amount of time for the tool in the slot and damage the tool - thus making a turtle more like an Auto Steve than an eternal machine.
Also there would be a tinker table peripheral (if Tinkers Construct is installed) that would allow you to program automatic addition of modifiers/ingots for repair.
I have yet to make any mods so I don't know how good I'll be, but I do want to try and this seem as good a mod as any to start on.

As far as I know, this has been discussed by the computer craft people and they are working on something similar. Turtles will have "peripheral" slots in their interface that the player can drag items into. The downside side is they also plan to give turtle durability loss on tools as the turtle can just use a new command (turtle.swapRight for example) to change out tools they may have in their inventory. But this is a bit of a ways off since last I heard it was discussion and not dev path.
Till then, it is up to mod developers to add compatibility, if even in a limited fashion.
