First of all, really, really great mod! (you can see now down in my signature)-v
However, I'm somewhat stumped on how to make an ingot cast. I am using the 1.5.2 version in FTB Unleashed, and I can make every other cast. However, when I try and pour material around various ingots (iron, alumite, aluminum brass, copper), the molten metal simply will not pour. Is the ability to pour an ingot cast not implemented in that version, or am I just using the wrong ingot?

No, for some wierd reason, the ingot cast must be made by making a blank cast, and then putting it in the stencil table, then pressing next pattern. IDK why it wasn't updated too.

For backwards time travel to be possible, wouldn't every instant in the universe have to be stored somewhere, or time to be something physical you could travel through? Either way doesn't work with the current laws of physics.
Sever lag when close to/using smelter.
(Has been reported a number of times before by others).
Log is full of messages that the server cannot keep up, but no more details
And if I save world and then try to reload world without restarting MC, MC crashes. I guess server load is so high that client never have a chance to start.
Using MC 1.5.2, Forge 735, Optifine D5, TC 1.4.1.7, Natura 2.13, and a lot of other mods
Hi, I've been thinking about your mod and I wanted to test it a really hard way : use ONLY this mod as a metal processor.
Now from wood only we can make our way to stone tools. But then we can't move any further because of the lava we need for the smeltery. This lava must come from a bucket which cannot be made without iron which could not be made without the smeltery applying the restriction I've made.
Nothing comes out of my mind except maybe to use coal as lower tier source of power for the smeltery. As lower tier, this should let us smelt a low amount of metals (like iron, aluminium, copper and tin). If this is doable, we could then use it as an hardcode mode where all vanilla tools would not be usable (still craftable for other mods such as Buildcraft's Quarry using a diamond pickaxe)
A last resort would be to explore and find a dongeon and hope for iron ingots or buckets. But I'd like to avoid that.
I believe the version of Magic Farm FTB pack that Jadedcat is testing has a solution to this (including changing other mod recipes to allow for disabling vanilla tools entirely)
Hello, could you please remove the lines from the glass panes? Either that or make them somewhat less noticeable? I got all excited about clear glass and decided to use it in my house but the lines seem a bit too noticeable...

Also, I've flipped shovel textures for Tinker's Construct and ExtraTiC for a more realistic-looking animation, check here: http://www.minecraft...hovel-textures/
hmmm, not sure if this is a bug or just something that I'm missing, using the latest dev build 23 for 1.5.2 I can't seem to put molten iron into an ingot cast, works with other metals, just not iron.
Found a bug where if you try to look at the last chapter, or scroll to fast in "The Mighty Smelter" on lan or single player it will instantly close Minecraft (version 1.6.2).

Zedner: Clear glass panes are made by pouring molten glass into a casting table.
xMoltenX: There actually is a 1.4.7 version of TConstruct. It just doesn't update properly; I had to take it down.
janus: A height of 16 is weird... I'll investigate. The Smeltery has a max stack size of 1; Extra Utilities should not be placing stacks of a size higher than that in it. Blocks on the corners are not part of the structure.
FatsackTony: The intended patch vector algorithm fluid pipe thingy is 1.5.2, yes.
Sir_OMG_123: You have a mod that is displaying tool data wrong. What you're seeing is a percentage of durability.
MoonCutter2B: Numi should be registering their shovels with the proper mining level. Axes too.
iananderson: That... is weird.
Dodge34: You want the latest version for 1.5.2. Don't think I'll stop supporting 1.5.2 just because I've moved on.
Themanwhogreifs: My tools are coded so differently and Mojang's code is so awkward that adventure mode with my tools is never going to happen.
Lfty: Need the armor gui? Press "O"
Zelitor: Liquified emerald still has its uses... as a moat.
Trailblazer57: I could break your heart better by saying I'm not interested in new features for 1.6 either...
Grimlyy: You can find iron from zombies and buckets in dungeons. Flint is markedly better than stone for weapons. Seriously, just drop a few iron ingots in the vanilla furnace and make a bucket.
Zektiknight: No error and your version is outdated.
1EnderMiner11: All you see right now is early game.
einsteinsci: Unleashed is a bit behind. You make ingots by pouring a blank cast and putting it in the stencil table, or you update and do it properly. ^^;;
Rathburn: Your version is outdated. Make sure you're updated with development versions before you post error logs.
When playing around with In-Game NBTEdit I changed the render handle and head tags on a wooden bow to 2.
This caused Minecraft to crash whenever I tried to use the world.
I did use another NBTedit program to fix the problem though, but I'm still posting this anyway.
Edit: I learned that the handle equals the string on the bow, but it might be a wise idea to just set the value to 0 instead of crashing; it might prevent somebody from deleting their world or posting this crash again.

Well, maybe you have a mod that shows durability as a percentage.
It's not easy to help when all you say is "my tools have 100 durability".
Sorry I tested today and its some sort of bug but the numbers say only a hundred durability if u do the show durability. Apparently Tinkers Construct Tools and the Vanilla Minecraft "Show Durability dont play nicely.
So I'm looking at setting up a version of minecraft where the only way to build metal tools involves using your smeltery, that being said it would be nice to be able to make vanilla metal tools using the smeltery either in order to enchant them to use up XP or for other mod recipes. All you'd really need is either a heavy pick axe head cast that takes 3 ingots and then a recipe that uses a heavy pick axe head and 2 sticks or even simpler a recipe with 3 pickaxe heads and 2 sticks to make a vanilla pickaxe.
mDiyo, you're one of the only mod devs that wouldn't stop developping an older version of a mod when starting to work on a new one, I suppose its because new packs on FTB launcher are still in 1.5.2, got lucky there I guess, anyways, thanks a lot for your hard work.
...Well then, I just watched someone enchant a TC pickaxe and hammer using the Enchanting+ mod. Thought you might like to know mDiyo.
It's not a surprise that another mod can mess with how Tinkers interacts with vanilla mechanics. Enchanting Plus had a way to enchant just about anything you put on the enchanting table (which had been removed in a later version, to my knowledge. I was sad). In the end, if someone wants to deal with trying to enchant Tinker tools, when they aren't meant to be, it's their world. They should just know that they shouldn't be enchanting them.
Not to sound rude, but you statement falls apart when you look at the controller. It's just eight bricks in a furnace shape. How does it know how much liquid is in the multiblock structure? How does it know where to find lava tanks? How does it know how large the structure is?
The faucet is actually something of a "smart-faucet." It knows you want to pour only two ingots when making a cast. It knows to pour only eight ingots when making a hammer head. It won't overflow the basin. It can take redstone signal to be automated.
Adding a feature where it only starts to pour if you had enough metal in the smeltery does make sense, and it wouldn't be that far off from the current capabilities of the faucet and smeltery in general.
So, today in the nether I found that TC pickaxes mine glowstone faster, unlike vanilla ones, just like TC axes and leaves... mDiyo, my respect for you gets greater and greater, even with minor details like these
Want another neat little detail? Take a vanilla sword, find a zombie. Spam attack the zombie till it's dead and watch the durability of the sword plummet by 20 or so. It takes 1 durability for each hit, even if it doesn't deal damage due to the 'invulnerability period' of the monster. Now try it with a Tinker weapon. =)
As for the Wiki, Diyo does not support any Tinkers wiki. He believe all information should be given in game, or figured out for oneself. There are a couple wikis out there but none seem to be complete. As someone mentioned, taking the time to read the OP is not much time at all. It should be the first place you check, and is not 'looking around.'
You could be having a couple of issues here. Someone mentioned not having enough material available. Any part considered a 'head' for the tool costs eight material pieces and any part that is considered a 'handle' costs three amterial pieces. You could also have wood/stone/etc. tools disabled in the config. Check your config to make sure mod stone tools (and other materials) are set to true.
The ghost arrow bug is known. As far as I know, arrows don't actually duplicate. If you mess around with them in the inventory, the 'duplicates' should disappear. It's the same problem with other items, whatever problem that may be.
Hi, I've been thinking about your mod and I wanted to test it a really hard way : use ONLY this mod as a metal processor.
...
Don't think of the Smeltery as the only available means of metal processing. I can understand wanting to use only the smeltery for a variety of reasons. However, it is meant as more of an upgrade to the furnace. Don't feel bad about using the furnace to smelt your first few ore pieces. It's almost necessary and is an unnecessary restriction if you absolutely refuse to use the furnace for early game ore.
Connected textures in a later version should fix that. Also: if you aren't happy with any textures then make your own! That's what texture packs are for.
It shouldn't be ignoring the ore dictionary. It uses it. However, the smeltery only deals with ingots and ores. Dusts and other odd forms of the metal don't work, if I remember correctly. (I don't use mods that add dusts and such)
The controller needs a lava tank on the same level for the smeltery to be recognized. Lava tanks can be on any level separate from the controller, but you need at least one at the level of the controller for the smeltery to work. Does this solve your problem?
Hey, mDiyo! I've discovered a bug! If you use a shovel (not sure if it works with other tools) and place ladders, it will not update the inventory and it will look like it is not using the blocks but when you pick up the ladders in you inventory it will update.sooo do you mean that you will be adding stuff for when you get later in the game?yeah it only works for shovels and ladders
I'm using Misa and MCA. I've noticed several new villagers, but they show up as dark robed and pink testificates. If it is just a bug, fine. if it is a conflict with MCA I'll probably just have to disable the buildings. So, I was wondering if it was a bug.
yes, I did. also, i'm using the 1.5.2 version of the mod
However, I'm somewhat stumped on how to make an ingot cast. I am using the 1.5.2 version in FTB Unleashed, and I can make every other cast. xMoltenX: There actually is a 1.4.7 version of TConstruct.
1EnderMiner11: All you see right now is early game.
einsteinsci: Unleashed is a bit behind. You make ingots by pouring a blank cast and putting it in the stencil table, or you update and do it properly. ^^;;
Rathburn: Your version is outdated. Make sure you're updated with development versions before you post error logs.

Sorry I tested today and its some sort of bug but the numbers say only a hundred durability if u do the show durability. Apparently Tinkers Construct Tools and the Vanilla Minecraft "Show Durability dont play nicely.
All you need is the latest forge version for 1.5.2 and you should not have any issues with crashing and looking at shortbows.
The problem is that GalctiCraft and Tinekrs are using the same extra inventory spots, last I heard. I have not heard of that issue being fixed.
Does this solve your problem?
sweetness! I eagerly await you awe-inspiring incoming update, good sir!
I'm using Misa and MCA. I've noticed several new villagers, but they show up as dark robed and pink testificates. If it is just a bug, fine. if it is a conflict with MCA I'll probably just have to disable the buildings. So, I was wondering if it was a bug.
