Good catch there b00marrows. I hadn't actually considered checking whether they were using Cauldron, since it's been said so many times recently that TiCon and Cauldron don't play nice...guess that's what I get for assuming that someone has done some light reading before posting an error. I should've recalled how many people have posted errors with Mantle missing...
You should have recalled how many people complain about being fooled by the 1.7.2 link.
keeped getting a error msg when I go and download the coremod
where's the error report?

is there a new stencil mechanic, my stencil tables always have a tool rod pattern in them and don't have any buttons to change the pattern?
Yes, instead of cycling through all the patterns, there's now a button for each individual pattern. Are you using a custom texture pack, by chance? That might make those buttons invisible somehow.

Hi, I'm Zach the DualVission, designer of Resource Pack Crayoncraft. I was wondering if you have any policies for or against resource packs made modifying your textures as to make it flow better with the pack. Sorry if this sounds very computer-y but I want this message to be as easily understood as possible.
Anytime i hold a tcontruct tool i get MASSIVE frame drops, is this a known bug? And would somebody be kind enough to show me how to change and customize the textures for some of the modifiers?
Tinker's Construct 1.6.0d40 crashes upon initialization, apparently due to the TinkerArmor class not being found (references to NYI stuff?)

I cannot get liquid to pour into the casting tables for the life of me. However, if I replace the casting table with a casting basin, the liquid will pour fine. Does anyone know what the problem may be?

My apologies for asking a newbie question or two, but thread search doesn't seem to be working.
Does Beheading mean a weapon has a chance of a one-hit kill, or does it just mean that if I do kill something with the weapon, it's more likely to drop a head? And if it does do one-hit-kills, does it still work on mobs that don't drop heads?
What's the swing rate of the different weapons? Or to put it another way, what weapons are better at DPS damage and what ones are better at burst?
Are there any plans to bring armor-crafting back? At a bare minimum, to support using the Tinker's Construct ores to make vanilla-style armor and/or to repair and enhance armor using the Tinker's Construct table?

First question: Beheading is where you get the chance to get the enemy's head as an item drop for killing it. No insta-kill unless you have an absolutely metric ton of Quartz on it.
Second Question: Cleaver is the slowest for the swing rate, having given you Mining Fatigue when wielding it. Fastest is probably the rapier. Rapier doesn't do much damage without a bunch of Quartz, but it does complete negate the opponent's armor.
Third Question: There is already something called the Traveler's Gear, and if it's any indication, and if mDiyo really likes the end results once he's done with it, there should be more in the future. I have no clue about the rest of the the questions for this one.

Beheading just means you're more likely to get a head from the mob, it has nothing to do with how many hits it takes to kill them, that's all in the attack damage.
I think they're all pretty much the same, with the exception of the cleaver which is very slow indeed but as a trade off you get a lot of damage and it comes with beheading, the other tier two weapons may also have a slightly slower swing speed because they're bigger and heavier, but if they do it will say it in their description in the materials and you vol. 2 book (put a materials and you vol. 1 book which you can craft with a piece of paper and a blank pattern in the crafting grid to get it).
There is armor right now, it's called the traveller's gear and it's pretty good, it has awesome abilities and gives full protection if it hasn't taken any damage, the protection does seem to go down as it gets more damaged. Also mDiyo has said that he has plans for higher tier armors in the future and we must simply be patient, you can't rush perfection after all =P
Really, though, all of your questions can be answered simply by reading the books in game, if it's your first time it's a good idea to read all three cover to cover.
Anytime i hold a tcontruct tool i get MASSIVE frame drops, is this a known bug? And would somebody be kind enough to show me how to change and customize the textures for some of the modifiers?
Well minus 4 or so seconds, which brings me to this bug report: When attempting to add the following Modifiers to any piece of the Traveler's Gear, the game crashes-Obsidian Plate. Necrotic Bone. Lava Crystal. Additionally, it also deletes the item upon re-entering the world.
Also adding a Ball Of Moss seems to "work", but displays a square consisting of pink and black instead of whatever piece of armor you modified. (this is a texture error, I know)

Do you have a cast in the casting table?
EDIT:
I figured it out, I did not have the correct liquid pouring out to create a cast.
Does Beheading mean a weapon has a chance of a one-hit kill, or does it just mean that if I do kill something with the weapon, it's more likely to drop a head? And if it does do one-hit-kills, does it still work on mobs that don't drop heads?
