yeah, close it.

also, a fresh reboot might help. Restart your computer, then the first thing you do is open Minecraft. Don't even open anything else (except the file browser, if you need to browse to Minecraft)

FYI: I will be updating to both 1.8.9 and 1.9 whenever MCP comes out. I'll also "fix" the rendering on older versions, finally. (I got a new graphics card and I see the problem now)

By the way; good job capitalizing the "A" in "Also". Although, you should probably learn to spell the numbers sixty four and five, since that's what you are supposed to do when writing a proper sentence.
"thats not fun.its being a cheater": Again with the lowercase letters? And no apostrophe (')? You are supposed to put a space between the end of one sentence and the beginning of the next! Capitalizing the first letter of the first word in a new sentence is a must! Do you think that a potential employer would even consider hiring you if he (or she) saw that, on your resume, you forgot (or was too lazy) to put capital letters where they are needed? No! The "its" that you used in this sentence is the possessive "its". You would use this in a sentence like this: "The dog chases its tail." The "it's" you should have used is the contracted version of "it is". Also, you this is not a proper sentence; you should have said something like "it's called being a cheater". One last thing! PUNCTUATION IS KEY! You'll notice that in my example sentence, I forgot to put a period at the end. This is an example of what NOT to do (except, of course, the rest of the sentence). ALWAYS PUT A PERIOD AT THE END OF A SENTENCE, AND A COMMA WHEREVER IT IS NEEDED!

But seriously, if you aren't going to download a mod because you dislike or disapprove of it, don't post a stupid comment about how you aren't going to download it, or how you "consider it a hack mod" (all mods are "hacks" in the sense that it adds things to the game (or removes them from it) or changes the game in some way that the developers never intended (or had intended to put in a later release)). No one gives a flying rat sh*t (the rat is flying. Not the sh*t. The sh*t is completely stationary, unaffected by gravity, or any other force of nature. (The rat is flying because someone thought it would be fun the throw a rat across the room. (little did they know, the rat would soon return with an army of bloodthirsty demon-rat-horse-platypodes (platypodes is the plural for platypus. As is platypuses, platypi (though this it technically incorrect), and, simply platypus.))
But really. In all seriousness, this comment is meant as a joke, and should be taken as such. get rid of the "b" at the end. you only need "-Xmx2G"

get rid of the "b" at the end. the reason you are getting this error because java doesn't use the standard "gb" abbreviation for gigabytes, it only uses "G" ie you only need to put in -Xmx2G ( I would also recomend changing your minimum heap size, by putting in -Xmn1G (you can also use -Xmn512M to only use 1/2 GB of RAM.))

I actually already have gradle set up on my computer. I'm just getting used to this new workflow.

Also, I'm going to release a 1.9 version soon since Mumfrey pushed out the 1.9 liteloader.

Finally, got the time to finish 1.8.9 version.

I tried disabling VoxelMap but that didn't help.

My mod currently doesn't light the blocks, you'll have to find another way to light the blocks such as increasing your monitor's brightness, editing the gamma value in options.txt to 100, or using Gammabright.
