I can't remember what you said to adding packs. How would you do this? I have a few packs I would like to add.
If you know hot to use eclipse and have an extremely basic understanding of java you can pm me I can help make you use the new code I added to make a pack.
Hi, where can I download more record packs? Or are these 4 songs the only ones which are available at this time?
At this time in 1.6.2 there are only the 4 default songs. Prior to 1.6.2 there are 3 packs that I plan to update in time. These 3 packs can be used in versions prior to 1.6.2 however the installation is a bit different. The versions before 1.6.2 do not require a core.
I forget if this has been brought up before, but it seems that the names for the vanilla records are hard-coded into the game and can't be changed even via the Language files. Any chance that at some point in the future you could create a Config file that lets you change the names of your records and of the records in vanilla? I've only just started learning how to create Resource Packs and it's bugging me that I can add new songs but can't change what names they have.
Also, it'd be nice to be able to use a Config file to turn off specific records, so that if you hate a song it doesn't even show up in the game (and that whenever the mod adds a record to a chest etc. it chooses only from the records that are activated).
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
My YouTube channel is currently on hiatus, but I hope to get back to it at some point. Content is fairly random, but can be enjoyable, and is mostly game footage (mostly random Minecraft clips) from my nephews and me. Most popular MC vid so far is the one Vechs laughed at on Twitter!

The way vanilla has the records is really stupic, they have a bit of text that you put by the record and that name sets 3 things, The song file name, The song name in the tooltip and the song name in the jukebox gui when played. With my records I extend on to the record the code and in my extension I have it so everything can be different, Its actually this new code that makes it so I could change how the installation is done in the newer versions. I have considered adding a config to change the names for my records but that would mean around 7 lines of code per record extra and I don't want to have my code filled up with config checks.
As for a config to disable a record, That would also be a fair amount of more code to add in. There is however something called the ForgeLexicon that would let you switch between the records. I am also adding something similar to that in the new CrystallusMod
these take up alot of memory compared to 99% of the minecraft mods out there... hopefully it wont lag
also is there a specific date when the 1.6.2 version of the eight bit pack will be out?
Yes the file size is huge because I have full length songs in the mod. Sound files are much larger than code files and last time I checked the sound files make up most of minecrafts filesize. One thing to keep in mind is that the filesize has nothing to do with how much lag you will have. The only possible downside to huge mod files is that they take longer to download depending on your internet connection and they also may take longer to load when you first start the game.
I know how that goes - my mod has 11 records in it currently, and the file sizes are already huge. I'd rather not add any more simply because the files are too big.
Excellent work on this mod, though. I downloaded the 1.5 version with 20-some records. It was an awesome mod. I think the Autotune enchantment is very imaginative indeed, too. Excellent song choice, even better execution of this mod.

I see someone is interested in getting you to add Kirby Songs. I wanted to check how the Zelda Soundtrack is coming. If you need help, I can give you the Entire Skyward Sword Soundtrack. Go to the following link If you want to download it. I had to split it into eight parts so that I could fit all of them onto the site. http://www.mediafire...4l6/Soundtracks

Glad you like it. New packs will be implemented as soon as I find time

Prior to 1.6.2 there is no core. The packs do not need it.

Forever protecting Hyrule with the power of the Master Sword, DragonMaster16.
I agree it is sad that there are not as many packs. I have a pack completed I am just working on fixing some bugs with it.
As for the typo in the faq, thanks for the find. I will fix it later on.
Not sure if that music is under copyrights
