The Sod Mod is a mod that adds sod, a dirt-like-brick-thingy, to Minecraft. It's basically a nicer looking substitute to dirt, making living in a large plains biome much more cosmetically appealing.
I plan on updating this mod a couple of times, until I think it's perfect. Suggestions are welcome.

Maybe make like ground-up sod, from 1 sod, and that allows you to grow ANY plant by one stage in minecraft! So, eg, sugarcane grows 1 block, cacti same, netherwarts grow 1 stage, same with wheat, carrots and potatoes, saplings fully mature but require one more ground-up sod to grow!

Are you saying using it as an item (like a fertilizer) or as the block to grow it on (like tilled or something)? I like the idea of connecting Sod with food.
But I would prefer to use furnace rather the craft to get the bricks.
And you should use the term "terracota" too and bricks should not be very solid
To finish, maybe you could add a terracota flower warehouse to get another type of warehouse
I like the idea of smelting, since it makes it a little bit more expesive than just regular dirt.
I use the term "sod" becuase i feel like more people are familiar with it, and it sounds pretty good. I kinda based the mod off terracotta brick in actually. Could you explain this warehouse concept a little more.
Thanks so much to everyone for the quickest first 25 downloads I've ever gotten! Special thanks to oOcantiOo for making a video review! Special thanks to everyone who has left me a reply!
Seems awesome! Also I am a builder/modder/scientist of Tekkit so do you mant to make some sort of a project? I am also a YouTuber and I will review your mod, it looks awesome!!!

haha do you have any suggestions? sometimes i find being creative is the most difficult part.
Well maybe some things that sod can be used for, like new plants to grow or tools and armor. Make sod USEFUL
But not yet
Okay, I think I may have a new direction to take the mod in.
Thanks a lot you guys! Evan, you can always edit the textures if you want btw

Haha, Forge is the best. No question
This will help with my chests chock full of dirt.
I'm glad it will! I plan on using this mod to make dirt a much more helpful concept, along with making it look half way decent as well!
I would love that! It will probably be updated fairly regularly also. I'll show any videos made here on the forum!
