In case you were wondering, Fancy Glass v1.0.4 IS compatible with Minecraft 1.5.1. (And should be through all the 1.5.x)
Ah, so you're making use of Forge's "version independence" feature then? Very good.
Eventually, when I have the time to do so, I'd like to add some sort of indication to which mods are version independent on the list. This will be helpful for both me and the community. For me, it would mean I can simply copy and paste all those mods to the new list generated by MC releasing a new minor release. For the community, it would let them know that, as long as Forge itself has been updated for it, that those mods don't need to be updated to work on the newest minor release of minecraft.

I used to maintain the Minecraft Forums Mod List. However, life has stepped in the way of that. Perhaps later...
Still using tons of Block IDs?
Well, you could try using NBT data and a custom block renderer...
I could help you with it... but this mod isn't open source so... yeah :/
Using NBT - and thus TileEntities - for building blocks that might get used in massive amounts isn't really a good idea, I don't think.
There's a good reason why metadata only supports up to 16 different states.
Correct me if I'm wrong
Well Eloraam uses TileEntities for microblocks...
Other than that I was thinking about using meta for facing and NBT/TE for color...
Anyway, I thought you ment shrinking everything down to 1 Block.
Using NBT for color is a very good idea…either that or use it for facing and metadata for color…
I was actually thinking about including different texture variations in the style of commonly used texture packs (Such as sphax and dokucraft). If that's a popular enough idea, I'm willing to do all the mindless texturing work. If you use something other than Sphax or Dokucraft, be sure to let me know and I'll see what I can do. If you would like to assist in texturing for the texture packs, feel free to pm your stuff. You will receive credit for your work.
I´ve a question, why do so many ppl use 2k+ ID`s??
Every 3rd mod use ID between 2000-3000 and i must fix them all ...
and other question, is it possible to give them IDs like this?
" 500:1:1 " ?
At least that's a thousand ID range. I find it much weirder how MANY mods put block in the very last few IDs [4900+]. Every time I add a bunch of mods at once and get a crash while loading MC, I say "I bet there's a mod trying to use one of the 4900's block ID", and I'm right half of the time.
To the author: shrinking down the number of block IDs used would be great, if that's possible. It makes it that less likely to create a conflict AND make it much easier to change the IDs, if a conflict occurs.
Still, we got a graphical glitch as you can see on the picture below. The black lines between the glass and solid blocks are even flickering when the player moves.
Strange thing is, these lines don't appear between every glass-solid-block connection.
Z fighting is when two textures literally hold the same exact pixel location. And because neither is told it has priority, they jump back and forth between who gets to be "seen".
Darkmainiac, where have you been? Why have you not been updating your mod? Why doesn't this glass crafting table work?
I have answers for you. I've been taking time away from modding because it was wearing me out, but fear not; I am back. I was waiting on Minecraft to hit 1.6 before I jumped back into this, because I want to start from scratch. THIS MOD WILL UNDERGO COMPLETE RECONSTRUCTION. That means it may take more time for this mod to update. I do have a few plans for the future, so allow me to share them with you.
1) I will be removing the stained variants of all the blocks from the main mod, but I will include a optional add-on for download for anyone that want's to use them. The reason behind this, is Minecraft isn't ready to render translucent blocks. When it get's to that point, I will consider re-adding them.
2) Texture's will be changed. I feel I've gotten better at texturing things, so I think a redesign is in order.
3) Block IDs will be changed to make the mod more user-friendly. As I have heard many of times, people are having to change the block IDs the majority of the time.
If you have any idea's for the mod, please share them. I want to make a mod that everyone can enjoy.

Extremely happy to hear that you will be continuing this mod. I use it extensively through out my world. I have a couple questions though, first is about the stained variants. Will you have the add-on for that available soon after the main mod release? I use a great number of the stained variations (I customize all of the textures for them) and was planning to use even more soon.
Second I assume since you are re writing this from scratch and will be using different block ID's that glass we are currently using will disappear? I will have a lot of glass to replace, but if it is a better system I do not mind too much
I plan to have the add-on available along side the release of the main mod. I will probably have to change the block IDs and even attempt the NBT approach for the add-on, and, sorry to say, it WILL most likely make the current glass you have disappear for the most part. However, I will do what it takes to satisfy both the people that think there are too many blockIDs in the mod currently and those that are fine with the IDs and want to keep there builds. If it means having a "classic" version of the mod for the latest version along side the revamp, I try to make it happen.

Yes I did You should be good to go now.
No problem.
If your using v1.0.4, they do now.

Aww, is the glass crafting table only decorational?Or did I do something wrong?
Ignore me, I missed the message that it doesn't have a GUI yet >.<
Make it open source so we all can help...
