I just tried it out in my singleplayer world, I couldn't craft the copper, tin, etc essences, and NEI didn't show recipes for them. I have Thermal Expansion, so I do have copper and some of those other metals.
I tried redownloading from the wiki since it said there was a quick fix for recipes not showing up in NEI that was released a while ago. After installing it and trying it in SSP I did get Ardite seeds to show up and a couple others, but thermal expansion seeds still are uncraftable. I sure hope this gets fixed soon, I could really use some ferrous and platinum seeds!
hi I am not sure who to go to for this issue so I figured I'd start here. I try to get extracells mod and magic crops mod to work together, but when I go in to a world. the recipes for both mods form together and I lose the ids for extra cells. I am not using FTB because it will not download for me. any advice is appreciated
It's an instagrow on magical crops, so yeah it's pretty good. If you got ways to turn gold into diamond you can even come out ahead, depending on how you have the modpack set up.

Okay. I'm not sure if it's just me doing something wrong or if i'm actually having compatibility issues. Magical Crops isn't working with Thaumcraft 4.0.5
Whenever i open the creative menu and try to go to the second page, the game crashes and closes. It's rreally bugging me cause i tried downloading the both recent mods (didn't work) and i even tried to use from the ftb modpack Magic World 2 (which works on the ftb)
What i'm saying is that MCrops and Thaumcraft aren't working. Plus, the seeds from your mod are showing the "missing texture" (a purple/black checkered square) and crashes the game when planted.
Both mods seems to work just fine by themselves alone, but together, nope.

I believe Magical Crops uses Thaumcraft's API, and you're a version behind on Thaumcraft. Magical Crops is using the API for Thaumcraft 4.1. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that will fix your issue.

But here's the problem: I tried both mods on their recent stages but the game still crashes.
Also, the versions of the mods i'm using are from the modpack "Magic World 2" from the FTB pack. I played with it and i had no major issues (it was slow, but playable and didn't crash). Therefore, i don't think the versions i'm using should conflict at all.
Sorry about the lack of updates and communication, extremely busy at the moment, haven't got the time I use to have, unfortunately family and money comes first and hobbys second, hope you understand, I am working on magical crops when I get some time, just will have to be more patient. Thank you.

I take in all suggestions and comments on my mods, even if I don't reply I have logged it somewhere.
I tested and it was Optifine to blame, not Thaumcraft. Maybe it has something to do with the version i'm using or something.
Anyway, now it's playable but i'll need to turn optifine off.
Quick question, been trying to find this on google...do I need to hydrate the dirt for magical crop seeds or does it do nothing? I have atm a MFR set up with magical crop seeds and no water source to hydrate.

Original Post: I keep getting seeds with metadata on them. I'm using the MFR Planter/Harvester but even manually farming I find them. Problem is they are proving to be a cheat. I had a coal seed that had :11 on it, when planted it was fully grown. In only about 5 minutes the MFR setup had turned it into about 30 seeds from the extra seed drop but kept getting back the one with the :11 on it. I noticed a few more times that I've had them only because my itemduct filters would not be working and I would see metadata when I hovered over the filters' item.

Yeah, unfortunately that's of long standing, but the quick harvest on planting the seeds with metadata I think is new.
Really hoping it can be sorted out. Using metadata to differentiate between seed/essence type could in theory let the mod have less of an ID footprint, though that's obviously not going to be so much of an issue as it goes into 1.7 and beyond.
Any way you could add in a config and bring back the old recipes to gain stronger essences? Really not to keen on needing a diamond to even get started with anything. Trying this on a modded skyblock.. yeah... cant do anything aside with what rarly drops.
I run this with both Forestry and Buildcraft (among other things).
For various reasons, we decided to get rid of Buildcraft.
The moment I took it out, Magical Crops started throwing errors involving fluids in the Forestry api.
Without magical crops, it ran fine with both and with either one of the other two alone.
I'm confused... is buildcraft necessary?

Whenever i open the creative menu and try to go to the second page, the game crashes and closes. It's rreally bugging me cause i tried downloading the both recent mods (didn't work) and i even tried to use from the ftb modpack Magic World 2 (which works on the ftb)
What i'm saying is that MCrops and Thaumcraft aren't working. Plus, the seeds from your mod are showing the "missing texture" (a purple/black checkered square) and crashes the game when planted.
Both mods seems to work just fine by themselves alone, but together, nope.

But here's the problem: I tried both mods on their recent stages but the game still crashes.
Also, the versions of the mods i'm using are from the modpack "Magic World 2" from the FTB pack. I played with it and i had no major issues (it was slow, but playable and didn't crash). Therefore, i don't think the versions i'm using should conflict at all.

Curse PremiumI tested and it was Optifine to blame, not Thaumcraft. Maybe it has something to do with the version i'm using or something.
Anyway, now it's playable but i'll need to turn optifine off.
Original Post: I keep getting seeds with metadata on them. I'm using the MFR Planter/Harvester but even manually farming I find them. Problem is they are proving to be a cheat. I had a coal seed that had :11 on it, when planted it was fully grown. In only about 5 minutes the MFR setup had turned it into about 30 seeds from the extra seed drop but kept getting back the one with the :11 on it. I noticed a few more times that I've had them only because my itemduct filters would not be working and I would see metadata when I hovered over the filters' item.
Really hoping it can be sorted out. Using metadata to differentiate between seed/essence type could in theory let the mod have less of an ID footprint, though that's obviously not going to be so much of an issue as it goes into 1.7 and beyond.

Retired StaffI run this with both Forestry and Buildcraft (among other things).
For various reasons, we decided to get rid of Buildcraft.
The moment I took it out, Magical Crops started throwing errors involving fluids in the Forestry api.
Without magical crops, it ran fine with both and with either one of the other two alone.
I'm confused... is buildcraft necessary?
