Oh, I probably wrote it badly. The problem I have is with recipes that left/or produce output to the original crafting matrix - e.g. a saw from redpower.
EDIT:
So either crafting handlers aren't called (GameRegistry.onItemCrafted) or the output crafting matrix is ignored.
Crafting handlers aren't called because of the way the thing works - they need a specific 3x3 grid of the materials used to craft, which I do not have. I guess I could assemble a fake one? But that makes it even more CPU expensive than it already is. What mods are broken? The RP2 saw I specifically tested and it works because it's not a crafting handler, it's just a flag that says "damage this item when crafting with it".
Forge added the support for that mode, as I recall, but I don't remember what the fields to set it actually are.
I'm not going to say never on crafting handler support, but as you're the first person that's asked me (and for something that can be fixed by using the stuff Forge provides), it's fairly low priority.
An issue I found with this in the Feed The Beast Ultimate pack v.1.0.2 is that you can supply the Mine Factory Reloaded machines with as much BC power as you want at any given time. It seems that on servers, providing more power than the machines need bogs down the server. I almost crashed the server I played on a couple of times by providing in excess of 300MJ/t to 2 Emerald sized farms. When I reduced the power provided to little more than 100MJ/t it stopped the server wide lag.
I am having a problem with the compatibility modules. The mod loads fine and functions correctly(as far as I can tell), but the compatibility modules error out when loading.
I was playing in my 1.5.1 test world with the latest MFR and a beta build of buildcraft (BuildCraft-1.5.1-3.5.0-75) and I cannot get biofuel from a bioreactor to flow into a combustion engine. It should work right? I also am using version 2.2.0.2 of forestry. I know things are goofy with sirsengir changing biofuel to ethanol. Any chance this is just a bug you can fix or do I have a version of buildcraft that wont work? (using that version so that I can use the latest logistic pipes.)
hey um I have 1.5.2 and your post says its updated to 1.5.2 but only the core is and I thought everything would work fine but im trying to figure out why I cant start a new world or anything and some error say things like this :

any ideas or help? it could be that I have to wait till the modder updates the rests of the mods but I dono if its just me but I thought they would work but maybe not I am just a bit confuzzled but yeah does the modder have to update the rest then ?
Which is what I just said, sort of. But because forestry came before the bio-reactor, most people would expect it to be balanced around that. The bio-reactor is only overpowered in conjunction with... any mod that can burn off biofuel, except for MFR itself. That's why I proposed that the bio-reactor would produce maybe half the fuel, but the BioFuel generator would generate twice as much power from a unit of fuel.
I'll.. look into this, but it's not high priority. I understand where you're coming from.
Hey awesome to see we can finally move on without RedPower in our lives. I love this! So much functionality...
Only one thing I wanted to ask is, is there a "Timer" function in your rednet stuff? So it can pulse regularly every few ticks/seconds etc. ?
Yeah. Square wave mode; period is in ticks. A few pages back someone wrote a really detailed guide to PRC-as-timer.
I wasn't able to find any such flag in the Item class you're describing, but if it's just a simple "damage this item if used in a recipe" then your statement isn't correct. You can't do with this item which loses durability each craft, but when it's about to be destroyed it transforms into other item. Or if you want to place into the crafting matrix entirely different item(s) (byproducts).
Whoops, you're absolutely right, I didn't understand you were trying to do that. My apologies!
As the mod have been adding a bunch of cool decorative building blocks, i want to know if stairs and slabs of those blocks are planned or not. And if there will be sandstone bricks (they would fit well on 19th century style buildings, with some smooth sandstone and regular bricks.). And as you are adding some white and black stone, will there be other colors of it? it would be a nice and cheaper replacement for construction foam (IC2). (and be able to dye the white one with bone meal, and not only sugar)
Yes, it's just a suggestion post.
Stairs/slabs: use Immibis' microblocks.
Foam: Uh. Maybe? I've never seen anyone actually use it.

I've never heard of this, but FTB's version is ancient by now. Unless you can reproduce this on the latest version, I'm not going to bother investigating it. Sorry.

Your Natura is either too old or two new. MDiyo keeps renaming stuff so we have to keep up with him, with the result being that stuff gets out of sync easily. Not much that can be done about that.

Ugh, yeah, Sengir's changes broke that, didn't they. I'll look into how that works. Meantime you can use the Unifier to turn biofuel into ethanol and just burn that instead.

Those are harmless - it just means that MFR can't set up harvesting (for example) IC2 crops, because IC2 doesn't actually exist. It's just informing you of that fact in case you wanted IC2 to work, in which case something broke.

Thanks for replying. I'm going to assume that somthing similar is going on with Biomes of Plenty as well, as the comparability module for it was having a similar error.
I'm using Minefactory 2.5.4 along with a large number of other mods in Minecraft 1.5.1, and my Minefactory rubber tree saplings are growing into oak trees if I let them grow on their own. If I bonemeal them they are fine. Is this a known Minefactory bug?

I guess I can make that configurable..

e: or possibly sooner, since I've just been yelled at in IRC for that being too far away.

You can't install 1.5 mods in 1.4.

To 1.5.2? They don't have to be, they work in both; only core actually needs to be updated.

You can.
