Also, thinking about it, serious question - the way NetherOres is set up now there's no easy way for me to tell what a given ore macerates into, because a mod might register their ore with the ore dictionary before setting that up. What would you expect the macerator to do if you placed in things like lead or nikolite, disregarding what it used to do? Double surface ore blocks? Quadruple ore dust? First isn't too difficult, but if your heart is set on the second I'd like to hear your feedback.
I'd rather have quad dust, personally. Most forge mods use Ore Dictionary, especially GregTech. For instance, if you macerate nether diamond ore, it macerates into diamond dust because of greg tech. What I wouldn't mind if you had a special furnace to smelt nether ore into ingots or diamonds if macerated. For instance, you get nether gold ore. You macerator it and you get 4 golden nether dust. Then you can have a "Nether Furnace" which can be used to cook the dust into there ingot or gem form. Maybe this nether furnace and only be powered by lava.
/me starts dancing about in circles with a mad grin on his face
Seriously, welcome back! Always loved your mods and now you're maintaining them again, not to mention all the new features and compatibility! Epic Win!!!!!

Define Cute (choose 1): A) Creepers Aerbunnies C) Herobrine. If you chose A): You appeal to destruction and to stereotypes. If you chose C): Please leave the planet now before you set off a nuclear warhead--no one enjoys mass murders, however nice they might seem to you.
Ugh, did that change recently or something? I can make it break the whole plant instead, that's not terribly hard, but that's weird.
Yeah I realized this might happen. I think the grinder might actually be too cheap power-wise unlike everything else for what it does, I'm not sure.
Huh, that's actually supposed to work. And sugarcane can only be planted if there's water so that's not even a bug Also I'm fine with doubleposts if it keeps this thread actiive!
Uh. I'm a moron and didn't actually set FBR to depend on core, so it loaded first and then exploded. I'll get a fix for that out shortly. Kinda curious why it loaded in the correct order for me but not you, but oh well, FML is strange.
I don't have a lot of experience with RP2 so Im not sure if that is new to PR6.
Well if it is not intended for the grinder to be used that way you could always make it damage the player. I'm not sure about the power consumption since you haven't fixed it yet By the way, are you supposed to get sick if you get behind a harvester?
I meant planting sugarcane is pointless too, it works properly as noted. Oh, also cocoa just for other people if you have any trouble. Throw down a block of jwood in the center and 4 at opposite corners (outside the 3x3 box) and the planter will plant 8 cocoa. That is the most efficient you can get. Some crappy ascii art: (top down view, x is wood, = is air, and planter is under the center X)

Sounds like way too much needless complication (of course since you use GregTech you obviously like that ).
I wouldn't mind it being an option for those of you that like that sort of thing but I would hate it.
Power Crystals, maybe you should consider not turning the update notification by default. When I saw it up there I kind of panicked, wondering which mod was warning me. Or at least post a warning in the chat too.

Yeah, the power values aren't finalized. I'm just running around dealing with these bugs and trying to get powerconverters 2 going instead. One thing at a time...
And the boiler makes you sick. You're burning industrial plant waste, what were you expecting?

ldog's opinion is basically mine - I know there are plenty of people that like GregTech but I'm not one of them. If he wants to screw with my macerator recipes I won't care, but I don't want to add that kind of complexity to NetherOres - it's just "ores in the nether", I don't want to add a furnace or such.

Wait, what? It's supposed to tell you which mod has an update. Where did you get a notice without a mod name?

I presumed it was your mod only because I saw it updated from 2.0.2 to 2.0.3, but it seems it was not cause the message its still there, even ater I updated. There is an annoying update notification on the top left corner of my window.

Sweet. Looking forward to new powerconverters as well.
Oh, I didnt realize it was the boiler since I would notice it when I was checking on a particular harvester, but yeah, the boiler was nearby, herpaderp
Maybe something like that for the mobgrinder as well, just no instadeath please (I cant tell you how many times I have offed myself with powercraft lasers while I was troubleshooting my perimeter back in the 1.2.5 days). Wither effect or even setting you on fire would be good enough to dissuade me from putting them around my base.

That... is not part of my mod. The hell? Can you screenshot that for me? Mine prints a line to the console, then two lines to chat ("[MineFactory Reloaded] A new version is available: 2.0.3" and a description). Nothing in the corner.

Then people would use grinders offensively, which is an even worse problem
It flashes white/red and it does not go away. I get no chat log. Btw, this screenshot is taken after I updated to 2.0.3. Also while I was on 2.0.2 I turned off the update notification in the powercrystalscore config but the message remained there.

I havent ran into that. Might help you narrow it down to look through the crashlog I posted earlier (look through the 96 mods I have and see if you have any that I dont). Damage indicators was behind, but it displays in the console like most mods.
hen people would use grinders offensively, which is an even worse problem
Derp! I only play singleplayer so I tend to overlook that kind of thing.
Considering what it does even the power consumption for it now is worth it. I hate animal farming in vanilla almost as much as I hate fishing.

Thank you so much. I have been cutting down mods trying to find what it is. I am going to use your list to find the culprit.

And that's why there's a bunch of animal farming stuff
Can we get an API adjustment where we can properly assign liquids to mobs in the rancher? Currently it isn't possible as far as I can tell. Your method only check against your own liquids and milk when passing a liquid as an ItemStack.
edit: Also, can postPlant in IFactoryPlantable get the planted ItemStack as a parameter? I'd need this to make my Omniplant work with your machine.

Liquids: getting the thing to be aware of all liquids is something I want to do but it's low priority. Plantable: Uh, I guess. That's not something I expected anybody to ever want or need, but it can be done. I'm guessing you're using that to set tileentity data?
Both will make it in, but after powerconverters 2 comes out. If nothing else I don't want people going "OH GOD ANOTHER UPDATE" this often now that it actually tells you

Yeah I need it to feed some data from the seed to the TileEntity.
On my personal server I got STDERR java.lang.Classnotfoundexception: pamsmods.common.harvestcraft.corn.PamHCCorn coming from MineFactory Reloaded .modhelpers.Pam.load <Pam.java 76><Pam.java:39>. I looked at the code on Github and you have a try catch where you try and register but have the catch print a stack trace. It occurs because I do not have harvestcraft installed.
The server then continues to load. The client also loads and is able to join the server.
Any chance you could test for that mod and print out a more suggestive message such as "Pam's Mods not detected; continuing to load" or something simliar with wording dependent on how important you think that mod is for minefactory?

None of the mods are important for MF. The stuff is there for compatibility if you use those other mods with MF. I don't use Harvestcraft or Extrabiomes so I get the same info as well, it's benign.

Yeah, all of those addons need to print a more useful error for ClassDefNotFound (or whatever it's called, I forget offhand) rather than always dumping the stack trace. That's a low-priority issue though, so it's on the list for 'after powerconverters'. Meantime if it's really annoying you you could just blow away Pam.class since it's actually a separate mod from MFR proper.
I know you said it is temporary, but add in macerating ores as soon as possible
Please add in macerating ores for nikolite directly, as you have to smelt it and then place and break the ore in the world to get the nikolite dust
Add in the option to generate different versions of the ores. By default, I believe factorization ore is spawned. Please add an option to make it into redpower silver, for example
Maybe add in other ores, like Forestry Apatite, and the redpower gems. This isn't necessary as there are already plenty of ore in the nether now, but it might be nice
