I wouldn't worry about PC being quiet for a bit. This is far from a six month silence (cough cough - RedPower). Direwolf20 just started a new season and there's plenty of major mod authors being a little inactive on the forums at the moment. That's usually a sign that all the big players are about to drop the updates on us.
Do Sewers have a bug or an orientation? I have 4 in a circular shape like so (where X marks a Sewer with a diamond upgrade):
OXO XOX OXO
After I place them, all four collect sewage, but they stop working soon after. I'm on MC 1.5.2 with Forge 7.8.1.737 and MFR 2.6.4.
EDIT: There are plenty of grown up cows above each of these.
You only need one sewer for a massive area above it. They take upgrades in the corner of their interface. A sewer (if I'm not mistaken) only scans the single block above it normally. It can be upgraded up to an 11 block radius over that. If you overlap your coverage with extra sewers (also using upgrades), they won't work. I'm sure that's to prevent resource abuse. Because the poop is the key to all the powa!!!!
The reason for this is that a single sewer, though it can collect from all animals above it, can only output at I believe 100mB/second, which means that even if they collect from 500 animals, most of it will be wasted.
I think it's 1000. Regardless, you setup a couple of sewers over 30-40 animals, and it will produce enough poop to fill a 7x7 railcraft tank pretty quick. Slap two composters to that and the fertilizer will just pour out. Throw THAT at a decent sized farm (say 9x9) with potatoes, wheat and carrots growing and you will have insane amounts of ammo for the bio fuel generator. it won't take long before you have a self-sustaining power plant to keep the lazer drill running all the time. Then you can work on whatever you want in your base while the diamonds and emeralds (and everything else) keep streaming in.
Pro Tip of the Day: zCasting3000, if you're new to MFR and getting your farm setup, here's a couple of solid tips (since I'm on my 5th base setting up the machines): The first thought most folks have when setting up cow/chicken farms is to expand past the 5x5 area. You don't need it. It takes around 5 mins for animals to be able to breed again (after eating) while it takes babies 20 mins to grow up. That means 6 adult cows will kick out a TON of offspring by themselves (as long as the breeder has wheat). The biggest problem people run into when setting up breeding farms is this: The babies constantly try to get to their parents. And the parents are trying to reach their babies. This will form "a wall" of babies and parents trying to reach each other. Sometimes the Chronotyper doesn't have any ROOM to actually place the baby because of this "wall". So it ends up setting the baby on the side with the adults. This causes an endless loop of "trying to move it back and forth" until it grows up. Then it ends up stuck with the adults. So suddenly you end up having way more adult animals then you intended on that side of the Chronotyper. A very easy fix for this is to simply place a few conveyor belts down on the babies' side pulling them away from their parents. This will give the Chronotyper enough room to constantly set down more babies in the correct area. A lot of folks complain about cows/chickens/pigs running loose all over their farm area, but it's not really MFR's problem. It's because the Chronotyper runs out of valid places to place animals when moving them. Hope that helps. It almost drove me crazy with my first couple of animal farms.
hey, i have a problem with the sewer. i have 4 set up with several cows around them. they all have bronze upgrades but for some reason they arent making any sewer at all. even with the cows right on top they arent making anything at all. they are connected to liquiducts if that matters

any help?
Sewers cease to operate if there is another sewer in their operation range, extended due to upgrades or not.
Does anyone know off the top of their head if MFR's Mob Essence is equivalent to Immibis's Liquid XP and if I can convert the fluids between each other?

It is not, one bucket of mob essence is one level, while one bucket of liquid xp is a certain amount of xp points. AFAIK you can not directly convert the liquids.

Hello! I and my fellow minecraftians on my server lately have had an issue, probably always been there as we have never tried this but we've attempted to drink both Milk and the Mob essance from buckets and it only places it, if we face far enough away to where it doesn't place it and hold down the use button/right click it does not function properly, No animation, sounds or effects occur, Anyone know how to fix this?
No one's 100% sure when PowerCrystals will update, there is one theory floating around this thread that PC is waiting for Thtermal Expansion to update first. I believe there is a test 1.6.2 build of MFR on Forgecraft 2 (Direwolf20's videos) but I can't personally remember for sure.
just listened to the list dire reads off in the first episode of FC2 S2E1 and if they do have MFR for 1.6 it's not mentioned and not in the mods list.
and while we're at it, i doubt power crystals is really going to abandon his work so readily, i wish you all would stop the rumor mill churning, if he hadn't decided yet, you may just drive him off with that talk.

i keep making the same mistake, i think "oh, i've given them a few months, surely it'll be fixed by now" THAT is why i seem to ALWAYS be angry to some of you, my advice is to get the lead out.
there were nice things here, until the mod author threw a tantrum.

Damn. Ah well.
I have only found 1.1.6 and 1.1.8 (I am using the recent 1.1.8)..I don't know where to report this.
http://pastebin.com/Txv5KAEH
I appreciate any help as I can't really understand these crash reports.
EDIT:
MC version 1.5.2
MC Forge Build 1.5.2-7.8.0.736
MFR version 2.6.4-975
PowerCrystalsCore version 1.1.6-107
NetherOres version 2.1.5-76
EDIT2:
I may have fixed it. I removed forgemultipart and it seems to be working for me again
