There's an old version for 1.6.4 on our website here! But please note that we don't support old versions; if there's bugs or crashes or conflicts, we won't be fixing them. It should still work okay though.

I can sometimes be rude and sulky, sorry about that. "each update", you say... every update, I assume, doesn't really contain much things, so it's not that hard to through everything. You can try it by yourself, too.
Well, the only thing that I can be sulky about here is that I don't see my showcase in main post...
Like, it's not on English yet, so I think people who can only Speak Russian can be happy. I also spent so much time... *Ironic Me* *monologue time* but I still wonder if you really care... like what is it for you? some random people just spent some time for you getting popular... *don't even fkn try to reply to it, I won't like it*
The reason your showcase is not up in the main post is because you're frequently passive-aggressive and self-entitled towards us, implying that we don't care about the people who play our mod. Alyx complimented someone on the work they had done, and you came in and made it about yourself, again. Frankly, I'm getting really sick of it :/ Besides, I haven't added ANYONE'S videos to the post for over a month, I haven't had time to work on it due to my new job.

Kinda! I got a job, which has been taking up a lot of my time, but the main reason I've not been around is that I've not really been enjoying modding Minecraft lately. I don't really play the game itself any more, so it's hard to maintain an interest in creating content for it. So yeah, the mod is on hold for now! I'm not ruling out updating it in the future, but for now, probably not. If Mojang added a proper modding API that might tempt me back, but I think hell will freeze over before they bother with that....
Sorry to anyone who's been waiting on the update, I feel really bad for leaving you all hanging D:

I sure would hate to see a good thing go away that added so much more to a game that is seriously lacking.
Yeah, I'm not ruling out the possibility of coming back to it, and I may update the existing version of Still Hungry to newer versions of Minecraft some time.

I even have a food stand/bakery planned just to fit your food in my world. Gotta feed those hungry villagers.
Just posting the message here encase this is easier, also I think others might like a few ideas I've come up with.
if I could code I would do some of this myself.
For sandwiches instead of using 2 whole loves of bread to make a burger or jam sandwich maybe add a kitchen knife (with durability?) which you put in next to a loaf of bread to make 4 or 6 slices of bred. With sliced bred you can than butter them which will be used to make an egg in a hole or grilled cheese sandwiches.
I would like the cheese to be like the cheese mod linked below perhaps the cheese you use could just be the melted cheese.
Improvements for making cheese could be right clicking on it to open the cheese container, in the UI you would see a liquid bar [will post below] on the left for the milk and after it randomly selects a type of cheese the different types of cheese would show up in the container to the right, perhaps allow it to hold 4 slots of items?
Sense this would add a knife you can chop up beef and make say 2 ground beef, which than can than be used with cheese and tomatoes to make a lasagna... maybe add pasta too. You can add or change the taco recipe to use 1 ground beef and any 1 cheese.
There's a mod called Extra Utilites which has a bunch of RF power generators, one of them uses food to generate RF. I'm going to test your food on my own but if it doesn't work I was wondering if you would be able to some how allow the Extra Utilites mod to use them?
[at the 5 minute mark you see the liquid bar I'm talking about above]
Related to Extra Utilites I would like to see a stove that doesn't run on coal but instead on RF energy, it would be nice if the stove can store an amount of energy in it say equal to a stack of coal.. or through experimenting what you think would be fair.
Stove recipe: I would like to have a Pot that could go in place of the pan, This pot could act like a bucket holding different liquids such as milk or water depending on what the recipe calls for, The pot would have durability where buckets don't. you can make Macaroni and Cheese with it, Ramen, Butter, boiled eggs, rice, home made chicken pot pies, or even something called Japanese beef hot pot.
Some other things you could make are Brownies or Fudge both use sugar but brownies has flower.
Other foods: banana pancakes, banana bred, and Carrot Bred which gives you night vision for a short time. only problem is you would have to add a banana tree for the bananas.
I would like to see a blue Recipe book spawn in the game when you start a new file or type "/SH Recipes" in the command window. This could be as simple where you hit next page to go through the Recipes or have tabs on the right side of the book that would be grouped based on the spoilers in the Still Hungry! page. Also as in the cheese mod typing a command like "/still hungry!" to make you hungry would be awesome.
There are non magical crops in the "magical crops" mod which I think would be nice if they could be integrated in Still Hungry!. it adds Black barre , blue barre, chilli, cucumber, grapes, raspberry and strawberry, sweet corn and tomatoes. I think there are ways to make it so their barres make your jams just replace the equivalent barres. sweet corn in your oven could be made into popped corn and I'm sure there are things you can do with the chilli such as mix it with the tomato and make spicy sauce/paste.
I had no idea I had so many ideas for this mod. I do understand some of these may be very complex, mainly when looking into having it work with other mods. even if you just add the recipe book it would be nice.
oh I forgot about my idea of adding a juicer. you could put fruit and veggies in the top and have the bottom hold 1 or more mugs so you can drink juiced food. perhaps have the juicer hold 1 bucket of water or something.
PS: awesome mod by the way. will be using it when I start playing Minecraft again.
I appreciate the comments and suggestions That said, I would direct your attention to a few posts above where I mentioned the current state of the mod's development:

that's understandable. real life comes first. I'm glad you enjoyed some of the suggestions.
I do agree that a mod API would be very sweet. There is something called MCreator though I'm not sure how easy it is to use. http://mcreator.pylo.si/

Just a bit of my opinion, using things like that is terribly boring, because it does not require any Java knowledge >_>
Yeah, personally I'm not a big fan of using software to create mods, cause if a bug springs up or you hit a limitation of the software you can't dive into the code as easily to fix it. No hate to people who do like that kinda thing though, just my personal preference is to code stuff from scratch Thing is, the reason I'm not a big fan of there being no official modding API is that it feels like Forge are constantly battling Mojang to keep their stuff working and up to date? Every time a new update comes out the MCP guys have to decompile it and rebind all the function names, and it just makes me question why Mojang don't just give them access to the source or something. Mods are such a big part of what's kept Minecraft popular for so long, and the developers don't seem to care all that much about them :/

I only understand the very basics of Java and C++ so I kinda understand doing it your self would be easier to fix problems and aren't limited to the tools.
even the crowd that did The Sims series realized how much the modding community kept them alive and added a mod folder to their newer games.
my brother says the same thing as you when it comes to keeping mods up to date which is why he generally doesn't use them.
this makes me kinda sad. thanks for the quick responses and sorry for bothering you.

Nah, no need to apologize! I appreciate your input and that you were trying to help and stuff I'm probably moaning a little bit too much, the unofficial Forge API people use to make mods now is pretty good, considering it's done with little to no help from Mojang themselves.
There isn't a stable version of Forge for 1.8 yet. I'll probably do a maintenance update when that comes out though, just to update it to work on 1.8 and fix some bugs.

Well in any case I wish you three the very best! Has been a "great ride" so far!!! Lots of hours to remember. And don´t pay attention to some of the people in these forums; good manners are unfortunately not granted freely. XD If 17 finds some motivation in the future, a lot of people will rejoice for sure.
I´ll stop spamming around now. Thanks a lot for your reaction and good luck with your art!!!.
I appreciate the kind words When more of the more established mods have started to move to 1.8, I'll probably make the effort to do a bugfix update and get it working on newer versions. As much as I don't really have the motivation to add new features any more I'd hate to leave the people who do still enjoy the mod out in the cold.

I appreciate the thought! But nah, I wouldn't feel right taking people's money unless I was actually giving them something in return. If I ever started modding regularly again I'd maybe consider it though!

it would be cool if your barres grew as bushes like in the Natura mod. Grapes growing as vines would be awesome too.
