Nope, it's cause it isn't done, and it's a long way from being done. This is the most changes I'm going to make to the mod since we first made it, it's going to be some time till I can release it. I'm developing it on 1.7 regardless of if the new Forge comes out, will release for that first then port across to 1.8, that way people stuck on old versions of MC (FTB, for example) won't get left out.

So I'm unable to make lamb or beef burgers as the recipe is showing in NEI. Is there an incompatibility somewhere with other food mods like Pam's Harvest Craft or is there something that has changed in the 1.7.10 version that uses some other method of making it?
I don't think that Still Hungry conflicts with HarvestCraft, there are 2 reasons:
1) I played with these two mods and everything worked fine.
2) The burger recipe uses SH's lamb instead of HC's one. So I think, that's bugged NEI?

You're right. NEI doesn't show beef- and cheeseburger's recipe. But you CAN craft it. Put bread and beef in a pattern like any other burger
To get cheeseburger, place beefburger in center and cheese on top of it.
EDIT: I'm stupid. NEI DOES show the recipe. Sorry! So I think it's just you?
I figured out the issue. I'm also using Natura which allows for the creation of bread via barley flour in a furnace. Doing so creates a bread item with a damage value of 1 which the still hungry mod doesn't recognize. The crazy thing is that Pam's Harvestcraft does recognize the bread and will make toast out of it. I can however create bread the normal way and everything works fine.
An assortment of 5AM ramblings is now available on my new (work in progress) blog, including a little progress report on the next Still Hungry version! I'll continue to be active here on the forums of course, but I prefer writing more long form stuff on there because Minecraft Forum formatting is horrendous. Obviously I'll cross post anything relevant to the mod on here though

Can you increase configurability for this mod? I like to combine this with Lots of Food, since both this and that have features that I like. For example, your stove system is FRIGGIN' AMAZING... but, and please don't take this personally, I'm not really fond of Still Hungry's Barrel and Alcohol system compared to Lots of Food, and it was nice that in previous versions that I could disable it.
Speaking of Barrels... I hear that you intend to increase their utility for purposes besides merely alcohol fermentation. Is that true?

That's a very good point. I'll admit, the config options hadn't been exactly high on my priority list, but clearly there's a demand for them. I'll make sure to try to sort that out in the next version
And it might be true xD We'd like to add some new barrel functionality, but we haven't got any concrete plans yet.

Sorry for the thread being kinda dead this week guys, there's not really a lot to report, I've hit sort of a stumbling block with the new blocks cause I have no clue how to use the 3D model importer in Forge properly - could be an issue with the code, could be an issue with me sucking at using Blender3D. Either way, that in combination with searching for a real job like an actual adult, it's kinda sucking my motivation to work a little. Rest assured, an update will come eventually though, I appreciate the patience.
I remember this in it's early release, and I loved it! I'm glad it's still being developed!!!!

Stop treating mod devs poorly. These people mod as a hobby or as a service to the community, they don't have to take your suggestion and you are not entitled to anything from them.
