Huh. Well, guess I should have paid more attention in biology xD I guess you could consider the rice seeds to be the unprocessed rice and the white rice to be the processed?

Tomorrow, (Sunday 25th) is when the creators will be testing out the small update for the mod, and you guys are invited to join.
Starts: 10pm GMT

Lunchbox that is also an enderpouch.... Hmmmm. I guess you'll never forget your lunchbox at home if you have the right materials.
We're planning on making them have individual inventories eventually, I haven't figured out a good way of doing it yet though.

The icon being changed is most likely an ID conflict, you can fix that by changing the stillhungry.cfg file in .minecraft/config (google it, there's lots of tutorials around). The error is weird though, by the looks of it 2 functions are calling eachother in the minecraft code and it's getting stuck in an infinite loop... I'll have to check whether that's my fault or mojang's xD Does it happen every time you open the lunchbox?
EDIT: Also that is the case, if it's not too much trouble could you try removing your other mods and trying it out? Just in a creative world or something, that way we can figure out if it's a conflict causing it
(ALSO: just so everyone knows, the other two devs are on holiday for the week, so you're stuck with me Apologies if replies are a little slow)

Recommendations for the update after the barrel update....: Add Corn (you can make it grow like sugar cane) when its done growing you hit the top piece and like 3 corn cobs fall down ...You could then make a pot where you can add water then boil the cobs... You could add salt to it to give you like an extra food thingy......Add sugar cookies you first make a cookie like this W=wheat E=eggs: W E W then you would put sugar on it then cook it........(the reason why I I put the sugar recipe separate is because you can change the recipe for coco cookies and make more different cookies...) Add Tomatoes You can put them on your tacos .... and I think that's bout it..

Yeah, by the sounds of it there's some kind of conflict between our mod and one of the others (most likely the Armor Movement one, seeing as that's the one that had the wrong icon appearing in creative mode). That sucks I'll have a look at it myself sometime soon, see if I can figure out where the problem lies
Could I possibly ask if there are any methods for controlling the spawn rates and locations of the food items other than forking the mod?
I've had a look through the config file but it looks like there's only options for changing the IDs, what I'd really like to do is make the stillHungry plants a little rarer and biome specific.
(it's a little OCD of me I know, but I'm thinking of Rice in wet/swampy biomes, strawberries in forests and grapes in warm areas such as plains or savanna)
If there is an option currently or it wouldn't be too much of a hassle to implement then please let me know, if not, I'll try and get the rusty coding cogs in my brain turning again.

a) I think it's a pretty good idea! I like your suggestions for where they should spawn, they currently just work off a modified version of the pumpkin worldgen code, since I wrote all of that back when I was a total java noob and didn't know what I was doing xD

The idea I've been toying with lately was to offset the default balance/worldgen data onto an file hosted online so we can make changes whenever we want without having to push out a full .jar update and make everyone have to fuss with updating, does this sound like a decent idea to people? (We'd still allow players/servers to customize their copy of course!) I'd have to do some research and testing to figure out how I'd pull it off without it being exploitable or buggy as hell though xD

For the online config thing, that sounds like a pretty nifty way of balancing things. I dread to think what it'll do for your hosting bandwidth though!
Also, I'd like to add an imaginary vote for Silversteel's idea if I may, it sounds awesome.
No problem Thanks for reminding me, the worldgen code has been sorely neglected in the last few updates - it needs a little love I think :'D
And yeah, the bandwidth is a big limiting factor - gonna have to do some number crunching, see if it's feasible.
EDIT: Given it some thought, I can host it on my dropbox like the main still hungry downloads to begin with, if the mod gets popular and it runs out of bandwidth, I'll invest some of the adfly money into server space Also, if this idea comes to fruition, I'll make it open source just like the rest of the mod so other modders can implement their own server side balancing

We never made a version for 1.5, my buggy code came back to bite me in the ass and by the time I'd fixed it all 1.6 had arrived
