Forgive me if this is a common question.
Can I turn off the bandits in the LOTR mod config file?

My forum icon was painted by Frank Frazetta.
It is the cover art for a book by Edger Rice Burroughs called 'The Mad King.'
This is my small tribute to a great artist.

I created custom waypoints. Normally I'd be able to see them on the map, but now, I can't. I move my cursor to the upper right box on the map, and it says I've used 3 of my waypoint, which I have, but I can't see them on the map.
I know this isn't the right place and not the right time but I couldn't talk on The Lion King mod forums, so I would ask you to update it to 1.7.10 but if not and this is not correct to ask this question then I'm sorry I just wanted to hear it straight from the creator of and whether he will make a 1.7.10 version, he doesn't have to add anything but just make to 1.7.10. But Mevans I'm sorry if you didn't want to hear this but I needed to know. But again I'm sorry so please forgive me if this is wrong

Oh nevermind on the forums it says you won't update it past 1.6.4 just ignore this everyone sorry for wasting your time
For those who don't mind a bit of reading, I've been writing mod examinations on Hubpages under the name Cliffwalker. So far I've done full articles for several mods, including the likes of Witchery,Enviromine, andLycanite's Mobs, and I have also written a few multi-mod articles to help those who wish to find upgrades for a specific aspect of their game, such as the Nether.
I don't know if anyone's already mentioned this ("Search Thread" is broken as always), but I've recently started combining Fastcraft and BetterFPS. The two mods function perfectly together, and allowed me to jump up my view distance from 8 to 16 on my fairly old laptop. I'm generally getting 30fps even when travelling through new terrain, and well above that if not. Only places that drop me below 30 are the dense woods(And presumably Mirkwood, haven't been there yet on this character), and that only during terrain generation. I did have a pretty horrid load-time when just getting to middle-earth though, but after that it's been smooth.
Anyways, just thought I'd suggest that combination for anyone who's still having FPS issues in Middle-Earth.

Are you still working on this project? If so, do you need a developer to help you with it? Sounds like a fun project to work on.
Mevans works on the mod alone.

In a hole in the ground there lived a troll. Not a warm, dry, or otherwise comfortable hole, filled with polished furniture: it was a troll hole, and that means discomfort. It had a perfectly jagged entrance, with granite spikes. The entrance opened on to a tube-shaped tunnel like a hall: a very uncomfortable tunnel filled with smoke, with granite walls, and floors strewn with bones, provided with severed heads, and lots and lots of freshly killed travelers - the troll was fond of visitors.

Could you make the mithril sword and Anduriel smaller? They are enormous and make my character look weird. Also, can you maybe add in naturally spawning towns? For example, in Gondor, there will be little structures that spawn far away from each other. Maybe you could make them spawn in small towns or villages. Also, please add in Gondorian houses.

If you mean Minas Tirith and other cities, not yet. They are planned once more of the mod is complete, but I believe Mevans wants to get most of Middle-Earth's terrain and factions made first.
But if you mean small towns, there are two locations that have them. In Near Harad Fertile you can run into towns belonging to the Near Haradrim, and I believe the Moredain of Far Harad's savannas have little towns as well.
Also, while this works better with some factions than others, you can often set up a decent-looking town in under an hour using creative mode. Most groups have 4-5 buildings that can be spawned in and have units included, so as long as you're willing to build the roads and paths connecting each building, you can often get a nice-enough looking place set up. But like I said, this doesn't work well with all factions: Some like the high elves only have two complete buildings, others like the Rohirrim have several, but only three or so work for in towns, etc.

i really like the mod the only thing i hate is that its dam difficult at the beginning against rohans and gondor but that gives it some extinignes but is there any change that you can add the big city's like minis third and isengard and go on it would spare me loots of building or downloading maps it would be a epic adventure thta just imagine you walking trou gondor and you just a a giant wall appear in your render distace. nice work btw
So you mean to say you made an account and threw a post onto the forums without reading the FAQ, looking at the couple posts before yours asking for the same thing, or even getting your bearings about the community?

Mevans I apologize if I am annoying you with this question but the Lion king mod forum isn't accessible. Please don't leave the mod for that I know you did but revive it many people are wanting a 1.7.10 version and I know this is the only way I could talk to you. Bring that mod back its a really popular mod still, many wish it be revived, you don't have to but a revival for that mod is good but if you keep working on this mod it is ok as it making minecraft 1,000 times better. But please take this to consideration but I will stop asking if I can get a response. If not in the next 10 days then you want here from me except me downloading this mod.

I'm probably missing something stupid, but I can't get this mod to load.
I'm running Windows 8.1. I have 1.7.10-Forge10.13.4.1481-1.7.10 set up properly. I can load the mod TMI with no problem. I have no other mods installed in my mod folder.
When I load Minecraft, I see the "constructing and initiating mods" and LOTR is included in that load up. I click on the mods button and see LOTR Beta 23.3.
So, it all looks good.
When I create a new world, it isn't Middle Earth. It seems like a regular Minecraft world. TMI loads and is available.
Why isn't the LOTR mod available? Bear in mind, I'm a complete newb at modding.

You spawn in the Overworld. Middle-Earth has an entirely separate dimension. You need to find gold, make 8 gold nuggets, make a gold ring from those 8 nuggets, then cast the ring into a fire. We're not as specific as Tolkien on what fire you must cast it into. Enter the portal, you go to ME.

Mevans is definitely still working on it, and posted information on his Facebook about what he's currently doing as of two days ago.

No need to be hostile to the noob
On the contrary, there is every reason to be very hostile to the newbies. As long as we don't degrade them too much.
