i have tried to download mods the last few days and what i did was. i downloaded forge, modloader and the war commander mod first--> when i came into to the menu (singleplayer, multiplayer) screen i had realms and when i clicked it, it said "client outdatet" (i dont know what that means), i didn't know what it was and i did not have the mod option. and i thought that it was the mod that was just too old, so i deleted it and downloaded a new mod. this time i downloaded the mine and blade battlegear mod, and the same thing happened, and i deleted it, and then i downloaded lord of the rings mod, i launched the game and when i clicked play, the crash report showed up.
i did the same thing to my brothers computer and it worked, and when i tried on mine it didn't. and i was wondering if i just deleted everything i downloaded that day i could try downloading it over again because maybe i missed something? would that work?

Anyone know of or is working on a texture pack for this mod? Something that is at least 64bit textures? I know that is a tall order but was just curious.
I have noticed a problem with the mod: most evil NPCs chat messages are messed up. For example, if you have 0 alignment with Gundabad, the Gundabad Orcs will treat you as if you had over ten alignment with them and were totally trustworthy, while if you have over ten alignment they treat you with suspicion (In the chat). Also, I would like to see the implementation of a banner for Gundabad, as every other playable faction has one, and they need a banner for the banner protection system to work for players aligned with them. Finally, I would like to see the re-implementation of the ring portal spawning randomly in middle earth, as always spawning in the Shire creates a rather repetitive routine between worlds. I think having the portal spawn randomly made the mod much more playable and enjoyable, and I would like to see it re-implemented.
Love this mod but I ran into a problem. My power went out while playing and when I got back on, all of my LOTR achievements disappeared and all rep went back to zero. Is there anyway to get it all back?
The same exact thing happened to me! Bummer, isn't it? Well, I know this isn't exactly what you want to hear, but i'm pretty sure this is it, because i've looked everywhere for a solution:
As far as the rep. goes, you have to press ESC, then press OPEN TO LAN, and then turn cheats on and press done. Press Back to game, and type the following command on your keyboard: /alignment rjwolfe3 RANGER_NORTH 10 And that will turn your Rangers_of_the_North rep to 100. Change rjwolfe3 to whatever your username is, and change the 100 to whatever your rep used to be.
Unfortunately, you just have to do that and keep switching RANGER_NORTH to whatever faction you want to change. You can find a list of all of the faction names for the command on the mod's wiki's alignment page. If you don't remember how much your rep was for every faction, I feel really bad for you, man. I didn't remember my rep, so i checked my screenshots and luckily, I found a screenshot that had my alignment in it.
As far as achievements goes... I really can't find any solution other than messing around w/them in the .minecraft folder.
Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance, but sometimes in life you gotta say "Darn." and move on. Good luck, and I hope I helped.
Hey Mevans, i was traveling to Lothlorien, and decided to stop off at Rivendell to get settled for awhile. To my surprise, the Default Waypoint named "Rivendell" teleported me to a place that looked like any other place in the Lone-Lands.
I tried to come up with a solution, and came up with the following:
Rivendell is non-existent in the mod because nobody can find it in the book, unless you are good. (Which i was.) If so, please make it visible if u have something like +500 High-Elves alignment, and that would be AWESOME.
The city of Rivendell is only reachable through a tunnel or something or other. (Which i tried to find.)
It is not in the mod because the mod takes place at a different time-frame. (Which doesn't make too much sense either, because Rivendell was around for thousands of years.)
Or, the most probable, yet disappointing: It just hasn't been added to the mod.
Please hep me, as I am confused and cannot find anything about rivendell in this mod, anywhere online. Thank you.
And, btw, although i am sure you've heard this alot: I love your mod, and I laugh at the perfect intricacy of this mod, and I'd like to thank you the most thanks i can possibly give to you for making the most awesome mod that has ever been made. All LOTR aficionados will have a ball with this mod, and I definitely am no exception. You are a great mod-creator, and please keep changing this mod for the better.
I am planning on making some mods in the future, and aspire to your mods' perfection.
Please point me in the right direction with this Rivendell matter. Thank you.
Thanks, the alignment is what i really cared about, I can redo the achievements. Now I have another problem, ever time I take the ring portal back to vanilla minecraft, it puts me at 0,0,0 and I fall into the void to my death. Any ideas on how to fix that? Most annoying as I was carrying a full pack and lost everything.
Edit: the mod is acting like it started all over again. When I go through the ring portal to middle earth, the beginning chest is there again with the pouches. But as soon as I go back through it drops me into the void.
Edit 2: I made a new ring portal on vanilla side and that one works fine Both ways. Now I don't know what to do with the original one, lol.

Rivendell will be added later, after that characters, then quests. READ THE FAQ!
I tried using the mod for a homemade server for me and my bro to mess about on but whenever we get within render distance of each other, we crash.
I figured out that it was render distance because I am usually on a longer render distance than he is and I tend to crash more. Plus it says that it is a rendering error. The error looks like this:

Can someone please help me fix this
Hi
I tried using the forum to mess about on but whenever someone has a crashed game, they coincidentally forget how spoilers work.
I figured out that is was the crashers because when someone is just talking or has a lot of ideas, they use spoilers, but when someone has a crash report they don't.
Can everyone please not flood the forum with long ridiculous crash reports, please fix this

In a hole in the ground there lived a troll. Not a warm, dry, or otherwise comfortable hole, filled with polished furniture: it was a troll hole, and that means discomfort. It had a perfectly jagged entrance, with granite spikes. The entrance opened on to a tube-shaped tunnel like a hall: a very uncomfortable tunnel filled with smoke, with granite walls, and floors strewn with bones, provided with severed heads, and lots and lots of freshly killed travelers - the troll was fond of visitors.

DID You even read the post? Did you literally not even read it and just posted down on the forums ASKING for something that has been asked for tons of times.
As quoted from the forum page:
'Can you add Gandalf?'
'Can you add Minas Tirith?'
'Can you add any character/race/structure/region from LOTR]?'
'Can you add Race Selection?' Read the FAQ.
Gandalf will be added once Quests are added. Which won't be done until much later in the mod's development(Once all the basic stuff is finished like structures, mobs, biomes ect.)
i did the same thing to my brothers computer and it worked, and when i tried on mine it didn't. and i was wondering if i just deleted everything i downloaded that day i could try downloading it over again because maybe i missed something? would that work?

As far as the rep. goes, you have to press ESC, then press OPEN TO LAN, and then turn cheats on and press done. Press Back to game, and type the following command on your keyboard: /alignment rjwolfe3 RANGER_NORTH 10
And that will turn your Rangers_of_the_North rep to 100.
I tried to come up with a solution, and came up with the following:
And, btw, although i am sure you've heard this alot: I love your mod, and I laugh at the perfect intricacy of this mod, and I'd like to thank you the most thanks i can possibly give to you for making the most awesome mod that has ever been made. All LOTR aficionados will have a ball with this mod, and I definitely am no exception. You are a great mod-creator, and please keep changing this mod for the better.
I am planning on making some mods in the future, and aspire to your mods' perfection.
Please point me in the right direction with this Rivendell matter. Thank you.
Hi
I tried using the forum to mess about on but whenever someone has a crashed game, they coincidentally forget how spoilers work.
I figured out that is was the crashers because when someone is just talking or has a lot of ideas, they use spoilers, but when someone has a crash report they don't.
Can everyone please not flood the forum with long ridiculous crash reports, please fix this
Yes. cause I totally spread gold bars on my toast...

Im typing this in but nothing happens, it just says object summoned. Can anyone explain to me how to do this right?
Is there a way to spawn sauron or gandalf?
The sarcasm is palpable. Literally. I can eat it.
sp0ilsers/
(Was going to have a picture of the word sarcasm on a plate here, but I'm to lazy to spend more then a minute looking.)
{spoales:P)
Sauron isn't finished, but you can summon him using /lotr_summon lotr.Sauron
Gandalf isn't in I don't believe.

*facepalm*
DID You even read the post? Did you literally not even read it and just posted down on the forums ASKING for something that has been asked for tons of times.
As quoted from the forum page:
'Can you add Gandalf?'
'Can you add Minas Tirith?'
'Can you add any character/race/structure/region from LOTR]?'
'Can you add Race Selection?'
Read the FAQ.
Gandalf will be added once Quests are added. Which won't be done until much later in the mod's development(Once all the basic stuff is finished like structures, mobs, biomes ect.)
