This mod is epic, the most entertaining mod I've found so far to be honest. It lacks two things though:
1) compatibility with Battlegear2 for 1.7.10. - The LotR bows aren't compatible with quivers and special arrows.
2) Glamdring (even if it's for creative only, like Andúril)
Is it possible to get this implemented?
1: Are you saying battlegear won't work or that the quivers won't work. Beacause these bows are designed for vanilla arrows and ones from the mod itself. The mod can't be compatible with everything.
2: Glamdring will be added with quests
I'm experiencing weird lag spikes when I run the mod on a server. I can be standing in the same area, not loading anything new, and it lags. I've tried it on both normal forge and Cauldron (yes, I know it isn't supported). I'm hosting it locally, so it might be that the mod is maxing out my CPU, since the spikes do not seem to effect the memory. I've removed all other mods, reinstalled the mod, and tested it with other players. Everyone experiences them and the only way to fix it is to restart minecraft, though the spikes occur more often as the server stays up. I'm using the latest version of the mod as well. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Edit:
The spikes also effect players at different times, it isn't universal. So that might kill my CPU theory.
I hosted the server on another machine with the same results.
I have the server allotted 8G and both machines I've run it on are more than capable of running this.
im plying this in single player and its ONLY giving me a Green bar at the top with hobbit on it and I have not quest or Achievementss can anyone help me I put a pick of it email me at [email protected]
I just had some suggestions/requests for additions to the mod. For starters, it would be cool if one day you added like actual cities and towns to the pre-set waypoints on the map so that you actually went somewhere cool instead of just a random spot in the biome that's the same as everything else, though I'm sure you've received this request multiple times before and/or were already planning on doing this. My other idea was that maybe when you enter the portal to Middle-Earth for the first time, something will pop up asking you if you want to be good or bad, and if you choose good then it can spawn you in the shire just as always, but if you choose bad it will spawn you in a different biome where it's just like how in the shire you have to travel a little bit in order to find things to kill and gain alignment, if that makes any sense...I also think it would be cool if you eventually got to chose what biome to spawn in and maybe eventually have the ability to choose a race, and depending on what race you chose it will spawn you in the corresponding biome, as well as maybe add your race to the end of your name. For example (using my username), ultracrafter88, the Hobbit; or something like that. At the least, it would be cool if it spawned you in a random biome (of course not one like mordor where everything will try and kill you immediately) instead of just spawning in the shire everytime.

Hi I've been using your great mod ever scince it came out,but recently when i updated to 1.7.10 i got the bug that deletes minecraft achivements and stats.Sadly that same bug seems to delete LOTR alignment, waypoints and achievements. Pls help me it's hard to pump um my alignment to 1000 every time i play.If anyone had this bug and fixed it pls help me.
Well, that would be a good idea -- I guess I'll keep it in mind.
I have been doing some research about Uruk-Hai Berserkers and from what I was able to read on the LOTR wiki, the Berserkers in the mod are not the same as those in the film (and there were no berserkers in the books). See the link below for more info on the Berserkers:
For example, the Berserkers in the film were seven feet tall, didn't all carry bombs, and only wore a helmet. I think that the current Uruk Berserkers should be renamed to "Uruk-Hai Bombardiers" and that Berserkers be added as very rare spawns in the same locations that Uruk-Hai spawn, and they would have the following attributes;

Actually, the player is 6' 6'' or two meters. I don't think that a four inch hight deference will change much...

No he is not. There are no specific character mobs in the mod yet, only race-specific mobs, if that makes sense?
Acually, he is. Type the command '/lotr_summon lotr.gollum' (No quote marks.) You can also use the command to summon the Lord of the Rings, Sauron. Just replace the Gollum with Sauron. If you're nuts, that is.
