Alright, when you add villages for the various free peoples will they be attacked by orc bands like zombie sieges in vanilla? And after you've added an ingame map and fast travel of any kind, it would be cool to have labour units for hire i.e. Mordor slaves, dwarven tunnelers, elven craftsmen, rohirrim horse-breeders, gondorian ship builders, dunlending woodcutters, etc.

Bug Report: When updating the mod to beta 13 and using a new config file in an old world, all previously loaded biomes change to vanilla plains and vanilla mobs start spawning.
Minecraft hangs when opening - doesn't crash, but doesn't open either. This only happens with your mod installed - both beta 12 and 13 do it to me. MC1.6.4, Forge 965. Game loads fine without it installed, it's a shame as I am really looking forward to playing it.
Thanks for your time,
Paul.
I'm having the same problem.
It just hangs when I try to load a world.
The Shire is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too big and i play evil a lot
EDIT: Nevermind I found a solution
Could you say what is your solution? I travelled for 30 minutes and there were only hobbit homes everywhere. No hostile mobs, no other biomes.
Also does Custom mob spawner (used by Mo' creatures) work okay with this mod?

My solution was to use mapwriter(minimap mod that lets you teleport to places on the map) to get to places I wanted by guessing where they were based on the real map. The places I've found and coords are:
Mordor: x: 88607 z: 77317
Angmar: x: 32445 z: -20521
Lindon: x: -42254 z: -12480
Eriador: x: -5153 z: -12889
Gondor: x: 61463 z: 78510
Forodwraith: x: 37937 z: -33747
Lone-Lands: x: 20611 z: -16746
Not the best solution and hiring units is pointless unless your at the border of a good and an evil(Which as far as I know, none of my coords are near any) so hopefully Mevans adds "fast travel" soon and that it will include some way to bring troops with you.
Is the gamerule for PVP on the same alignment suppose to apply for all dimensions and worlds?
It seems that is the case, just wanted to know if that is what you had intended.
Thanks again for all your hard work on this awesome mod!
Wow, just wow. I took a long break from mc and now when I come back there has been so much added too this mod. I first want to say congratuations on your success and improvements. Secondly I want to put my option down about fast traveling, I think that eagles and fell beast should be used as the fast traveling system. My reasoning, 1)eagles rarely got involved in the outside world unless in a major event(such as "out of the frying pan into the fire" and the battle outside mordor) so I think the should with a high alliegienament be used for travel2) (as far as I'm aware) there were only the 9 fell beast for the nazgil(ringwraiths) so they were rare and only the nazgil used them, I do think it would be fun and lore appropriate to have them in battle, but I also think that the system should be balanced and as said before the eagles rarely went into battle. That said I would be perfectly fine with some other system (maybe magic) but I do think having the eagles and nazgul as the travel system would be the most lore friendly system(I can think of)
P.S I am on my phone right now so I am sorry for any errors in this post
So, I've made my peace with the terrain generation, HOWEVER, now that mordor and rohan are a long way away from the spawn there aren't evil places to get armor from. So adding a new evil faction like lone-lands bandits or Orcs Of The Misty Mountains that you could get armor and weapons from would be a good addition for evil players. And The addition of ranger dens to the lone lands that you could find ranger armor, weapons, and crafting tables in would be cool as well.

damn people will never be happy. they give them what they wanted and now they complain...
I never asked for this!!!
Seriously though, I understand why people want huge maps and stuff, I just asked if a customization is possible now or in the future. I play this with my son 2-3 hours on weekend, so traveling for 2 hours just to reach some place is quite sad :).
Hey, you think i could apply for wiki membership? I am seeing that a lot of the pictures on the wiki don't look as good as they could, eg. fast graphics settings, no smooth lighting. I have a pretty decent computer, and i could update these pictures and add new ones, along with updating some of the new biomes and structures that come in. thanks for considering!
Woah, what?
Isn't 80k distance like... huge? I'd say enormous? How do you travel there on feet?
But my more important question is how to change the biome sizes in config if possible at all?
Yeah I recommend going to the lone-lands for a warg even if you want to be good just for a little while since wargs are very fast and they can swim it makes them good for such long travel.

The problem is that I was using magic carpet and still could not find anything but hobbit homes :).
Thanks for the Support at the traveling System opinion! So I hope Meavens will think about it
As far as I know there are way more than 9 fell beasts in middle earth, i read at the lotr wiki that the nazgul let the orcs breed them in a special biom. But I agree, aligment should be pretty high or low ble to Mount an fell beast/eagle and Ian not really imagine large Server wars in the future without some Players riding fell beasts wearing morgul armor
Yeah I haven't read up on any lore of the evil of the third age so I wasn't sure, thanks for letting me know!
I LOVE the mod, maybe a bit to far from place to place, it tends to freeze up my computer and I don't think I'll ever make it to Gondor as Angmar is far enough to take a toll, but stellar none the less.
You've got my support.
