Could this be your next mod?Since The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is coming out soon, I thought it would be appropriate if someone made a Hobbit mod.
Basically what the mod would do is make the player 1 block tall like a hobbit and add many new things such as:
-1 1/2 Block tall Shire Ponies(10 Health) -The Shire, filled with Hobbit Holes -1 block tall Hobbits that you can chat with(20 Health) -A hobbit pipe that blows smoke rings -Bilbo's sword, the sting(Glows blue when orcs are within 32 blocks from the player) -2 block tall Orcs (50 Health) - 4 block tallTrolls (50 Health) -Gollum (20 Health)(When killed will have a 1/100 chance of dropping the ring of power) -The One Ring (Has a place in the inventory where it can be put on, ant will turn you invisible) -1 1/2 block tall dwarves -Gandalf (RARE SPAWN) -New Boss (Smaug) (200 Health) When killed, Gandalf will drop a staff that when right-clicked, will blow all mobs that are near 10 blocks in the air. When Smaug is killed, he will rain down Xp and the arkenstone, which can be used to make bilbo's sword, which does 20 hearts of health with each hit.

You do know the stuff from the Hobbit, the Silmarillion and Tolkien's other works ARE going to be added? Right now he is just focusing on the Lord of the Rings.
Also, this mod is based off of the BOOKS by J.R.R.Tolkien and his son. Movies do not exist in this mod.

It's actually a fairly fun server, me and my younger brother have been playing on it. It's a awesome world generation, and there aren't a bunch of people yet so... lots of room!

Would it be difficult to add the ability to breed wargs for size, color and strength? I'd love to do that, because part of the fun of using horses is breeding them together to make slightly better horses, so why should the evil players miss out?

Andrew, it might be some of the other mods you have downloaded are incompatible. It says you have Weeping Angels and Grimiore of Gaia downloaded along with da Lotr mod. I dunno, I'm not techy, just a suggestion.

I also invite you to try the seed "Middle-earth" (Without the "s) for this version, Beta11.1. Create the ring at coordinates X -1000, Z 0. The shire looks to be two shires spawning together. Every biome you could wish for borders the shire except Mordor. Mordor can be found on the south east corner of Gondor.

That last sentience shows that you haven't read the FAQ. Asking for stuff won't get it quicker, it will just make it take longer. Who knows, if he sees that, he may as well add that stuff last, which I hope does not happen.

Could you add orc drums? Like a note block but re-skinned, and making a louder sound when struck with a stick. Maybe they could be used like horns for troop movements?

i downloaded LOTR like it said and it crashed. I also had NEI and angels and demons, but i know those worked before i added LOTR. I didn't want to go looking through the comments, so I'm just writing it. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?
It doesn't. PC is quite a wide term, be more specific next time. Also giving us the crash helps.

I also invite you to try the seed "Middle-earth" (Without the "s) for this version, Beta11.1. Create the ring at coordinates X -1000, Z 0. The shire looks to be two shires spawning together. Every biome you could wish for borders the shire except Mordor. Mordor can be found on the south east corner of Gondor.
